Absolutely horrible customer service. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie NOT warmed and they gave it to me warmed. Not a big deal, I just asked if I could get it not warmed. This girl with nose piercings looked at it (Mind you it clearly says "not warmed" on the packaging) and she rolled her eyes then tossed it on the counter. I told her it said "not warmed" when I ordered, she said "Oh I know, I didn't make it". I'm not sure what the attitude was for but she shouldn't take it out on the customer. According to another Reviewer, this is the WORST Starbucks in the State of Washington. That's quite a hypothesis, but when my choice is this place or nearby Hotel coffee, you'll find me here. I'm also a black coffee kind of guy, and like boiling water that's hard to mess up. My Cup of Joe this morning was just fine, although I still wonder why this Starbucks (and most others) can't seem to figure out how to manage the queue. When all I want is black coffee and a NY Times, do I really have to wait through the various drawn out (on both sides of the counter) permutations of specialty drink requests? At that point, hotel coffee starts to taste a whole lot better. read more

The drinks are subpar at best, you're just getting slightly flavored milk these days so you have to add an extra shot to get at least some coffee flavor which makes the drink cost even more. My husband has been ordering the same drink for 10 years and of course we know prices go up but it's almost 9$ for a grande now. I ordered my iced white chocolate mocha with light ice and when the barista, Isaac, made it he did not do light ice so I politely asked him if he could please just scoop out some of the ice before he put the whip cream on top and he told me it was light ice and he flashed the ice scoop at me, to which I said okay, but there's still too much ice and he said, "I put light ice and he put the whip cream on top of the heap of ice and the lid and slammed the drink down in front of me where coffee and whip cream sprayed out the top of the lid all over the counter and then commented, "I don't know what the big deal is and then walked off the floor. I was so taken aback by his behavior because I wasn't angry or even bothered by the mistake and to be treated so rudely, when I'm the one paying $7 & some change for a drink, I kinda feel like if I ask for light ice, I should get it without all the attitude. One of his coworkers saw what transpired and apologized and offered to remake the drink. I got a latte from a Starbucks in kennewick on my way home and when I tasted it, it was really bad, so I stopped at this Starbucks and they were so nice to replace it for me and they apologized even though they had nothing to do with the original drink. the baristas recognize my face on the drive thru camera and it's like they team up to purposely mess up my drink EVERY TIME. i always ask for light ice and they "accidentally" mark extra ice on the label. last time it was so packed with ice my drink was gone in a few sips. this is 5 times this has "accidentally" happened. it's always the same baristas that mess it up. one young guy laughed and was mocking me at the window with his coworkers and he thought it was funny as he handed me the messed up drink. the line was very long and i was not about to complain so i sucked it up. i never write reviews but felt this one was necessary. this is the starbucks closest to my home and also happens to have the worst service. will not be going back until management corrects the unprofessional behavior of the younger baristas who think it's funny to mess up someone's drink WE are paying for. also note the drive thru wait time in the morning is insane. they have like 2 baristas on staff and a billion cars in line. not worth it. you're better off driving to your second nearest starbucks. read more

I was decently surprised to see all the poor reviews. This Starbucks gets a lot of business so it understandably takes a little bit of time in line sometimes to get your drink. This is likely something people in the tri-cities aren't used to. Having recently moved here from Portland it is nothing out of the ordinary for me. Only reason I rate 4 stars instead of 5 was because the restroom was a little messy and needed some more attention. read more

I have been to this location multiple times and have found their employees to be courteous and helpful. This location is clean and tidy considering the amounts of traffic it receives. I personally like the triple filtered water they offer me, yep it free and better then some bottled water, I suppose. read more

This has to be the WORST Starbucks in the state of WA! I first started going to this location only because it was almost within walking distance to my house. That was in 2008. They have been consistent in messing up even the simplest drinks. If that is not enough, they also are very sloppy with their drinks and occasionally give out the wrong drink altogether! They also like to dripping cups through the drive thu. They have even gone as far as not filling up my kid's drinks completely full?!? Now that is just cheating the customer. You may think WHY I keep going there? I stop for a couple of months, then try it again. After all their high turn over rate in baristas you'd think they might get it together...NO. Even after boycotting them for a couple of months, they still maintain the status of WORST Starbucks in WA! YAY Team! Went to Starbucks to get coffee using my prepaid gift card about 3:30pm. A gift card is basically Starbucks cash but I was informed you can't use a gift card (Starbucks cash) for any drinks during their special (members only) time of day. WTF so Starbucks cash cards are not good for specials. Not a fan but will never bother going back. Dutch Bros would never be such asses toward customers. Like I knew when they have specials. I normally don't support a coffee titan like Starbucks but the wife wanted a warm drink and Dutch Bros near the house makes horrible hot drinks. She ordered the peppermint mocha which is great as usual which was great and flavorful. I tried their new holiday drink called the chestnut praline and to be honest! The flavor was just flat! The beans tasted like burnt beans! Very uncharacteristic of a reputable brand that they promote! Total disappointment of my drink! Hope this particular flavor doesn't make their cut! I can see why the brains behind their brand left to start the McCafe for McDonald's years ago! They were good about a decade ago. If you want a good coffee, I recommend Coffee Bean Espresso in Richland, ShareHouse in Richland, The Local in Kennewick, and the Latte Dog in Pasco! I could hear Tabi making comments that aren't acceptable anywhere let alone a coffee shop. So, I'm rescinding my bad review I wrote about a month ago. Since then, my coffee has been hot every time. Maybe they read my review???. I don't know. Regardless, I'm back happy with them now. Another thing I liked, an employee honked at me while they were in there vehicle on their way in and advised me that their lobby was back open. I am done with this Starbucks. The last few years, after they didn't their big renovation, service has gone down hill. The baristas seem to change all the time there, and so many of them are rude. The last couple times going there has done it for me, my drink got lost and never made, then today my friend and I's drinks got pushed behind. Someone had come in after us and ordered 3 or 4 fraps and she got them before our iced tea drinks. When I asked what was taking so long the barista said they were going in order, but when I pointed out that people after us were getting their drinks first, he just said ours were "coming up". No "I'm sorry I'll get them made now." I have worked in a busy espresso shop with a window and walk up alone, so I know it can get crazy, but you fix your screw up to keep the customer happy. read more

RUDE. Always rude. Have been going here for years and every single person is rude. When they make your drink wrong and you correct them they roll their eyes and do NOT try and hide their annoyance. Terrible customer service. Yes, this place is busy but they opened the one on Court St. (as well as other coffee shops on Rd. 68 - who are just as busy but way less rude) to alleviate the volume. If you don't enjoy what you do, get a new job because starting my day with attitude isn't the way I prefer. I recently started using this Starbucks again and was quickly reminded why I stopped.
