This little coffee drive-through has (in my humble opinion) the most excellent cold brew in the Tri-Cities. Though a bit spendy, I really have no objections to this cleverly named coffee shop. There was miscommunication between myself and the barista about the BOGO iced teas. My mom and I intended to each get two teas with the BOGO deal but, due to the miscommunication, we only got a tea each and used the BOGO once. The tea wasn't very good for the price either. I thoroughly enjoy coming to Human Bean, this was just a bad experience overall. I will come back because I love the coffee. read more

Icky and flavorless eggnog and mexi mocha. Like warmed milk. I would never be able to guess what the drinks are because of the lack of flavor. I did not get anything sugar free so it really just had no flavor and tasted like warmed milk. read more

Sadly, we were unhappy with our visit here for coffee. The coffees we received were watered down and not flavorful even though we had flavor added. The two ladies working looked like they had just rolled out of bed and got to work. We wanted to like this place. The lady taking our order and money seemed personable. The lady making our coffee seemed uninterested in being there or taking coffee orders. Perhaps they were having a bad morning on the same day or received bad news from their boss. None of my business but presentation was poor and product was even poorer. Added one star for the lady being conversational. With the many coffee places around with a proper drive thru, it's easier to visit closer coffee shops with exceptional taste and you feel good spending money there. This is a cute little coffee stand with really friendly service! You can walk up or drive thru. The person who took our order was helpful and nice while our drinks were made quickly. I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and my mom got a blended chai with almond milk. I appreciate they use a double shot even in their 12oz coffees because it really helps the coffee come through! My latte was perfectly balanced, not too sweet from the vanilla or watered down by the oat milk. They also have almost every plant based milk you can think of, including macadamia and hemp! Highly recommend supporting this little coffee stop, they seem to really know what they're doing! read more

I hate to leave a bad review for a newer business but my God they really aren't good. I have never seen the same person working there twice. They almost never get my order right- multiple times I have ordered in the drive thru and when I arrive at the window they ask me what I ordered because they "didn't quite get it". They overcharge almost every time. I have ordered the same thing three times and never paid the same price. And on my worst interaction- I handed $15 to the barista and she somehow dropped it and it blew away down the parking lot. Just not good experiences. I'm not going back. read more

Came here on a weekend to try something new and wasn't impressed. We ordered the mexi mocha and an irish cream breve as well as two french toast bagel breakfast sandwiches. The staff was really nice and the wait time was short. However! There was no irish cream in my coffee and while the breakfast sandwiches tasted ok, the bottom bagel was soggy and the top was hard and stale. Pretty underwhelming for the near $30 we spent. read more

The Human Bean has the potential to be an outstanding coffee shop. However, poor management is evident in the quality of service provided by the staff and the massive fluctuations in price for the same drinks on separate visits. When asked why the difference in price for the same drink, the answers are snarky, snide, or completely non-responsive except for a shoulder shrug. For example, a blended mocha purchased on one day was $5.75 each. The next time, using the exact same recipe, except to change the milk, the price jumped to $9.75 per drink, that is $4 more than the previous time, just for adding coconut milk - a greater than 40% increase in price. Which on the menu, if I remember correctly, is only a $0.50 add-on, not a $4 add-on. It was evident that the baristas knew they were excessively over charging in that when the price is as stated on the menu, they beg for a tip. However, when the price is inflated, as mentioned above, the only decency they had was not to request a tip. The staff is rude and unfriendly, on a good day. The staff is stealing from patrons by over inflating prices far above menu pricing. The coffee is adequate, but most certainly could be better. Management intervention to improve training; define and enforce expectations for quality of service; forensic accounting of charges accompanied by video evidence of wrong doing and accountability; the use of a better roaster, recipes, and products all would go a long way to making the Human Bean a much better customer experience. As for now, we'll keep our $19.50 for two cups of blended mocha for ourselves, or take that money to another, more honest and more favorable provider. read more
