I had never been to this Starbucks and we were in the area. The service was excellent. The young women that were working were very nice and helpful and even brought out our drinks and food. Starbucks is Starbucks... Most folks know exactly what to normally expect at nearly any company cafe, so I'll focus on the particular ups and downs that separate this location from the others. Unfortunately, I really mostly only have "downs" for this one. The first miss is the difficult location within a suburban shopping center. Let's just say that it's awkwardly situated, and the drive through suffers the worst from it. There's parking, but it's minimal, and only a couple outdoor seats available in an undesirable setting. Inside, it's mostly blasé: long, open cafe with the bar at the back. The furniture is worse for wear, the walls desperately need a new coat of paint, and it has a bit more of a "musty" feel to it than your normal Starbucks cafe. My next issue is with the preorder/pickup service. I'm typically here once or twice a month to meet someone. Each time, I order my drink when I'm about 10 minutes away, at the very end of the day. Even though they usually have zero cars in the drive through and no one in line inside, my drink is only ready for me upon arrival 20% of the time. At a couple of my other go-to locations, it has never not been ready with the same timeframe, although those locations are almost always busier when I'm there. My last gripe is the biggest one, and the one that upsets me the most about any type of business: closing before closing. What do I mean? Well, as mentioned above, I've been here during the last hour of their operating hours. Nearly every single time, the crew has begun shutting down the cafe and cleaning up around us during that last hour. It's one thing to do so if no customers are on site trying to enjoy their overpriced beverage and the stereotypical cafe music, but if they are, it only serves to begin making people uncomfortable for being in the workers' way as they fulfill their end of shift duties. I frequent this Starbucks the most of the Olathe locations, it's definitely my favorite. My work week starts on Saturday, so I usually swing thru the drive thru then on my way. I love their teas. This time, I ordered the iced passion tango tea with lemonade. It's so terribly sweet with the lemonade if you add extra syrup into it, so definitely just get it on it's own. Bella was awesome with the refills. Usually when I get a refill, they make it a little wrong, but each and every time, she made it exactly the same with the same wonderful taste. Update 05/05/18 This is our spot! Today, my sister and I ordered a venti Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher with lime and blackberries, and a venti Caramel Macchiato with just 2 shots (didn't want too much caffeine), respectively. Both looked amazing, and tasted as they looked! When I asked an employee how much longer it would take she made rude remarks and didn't even flll it to the top. Pretty standard for a Starbucks. In fact, The only difference I noticed is that most Starbucks have the counter going lengthwise, and this counter filled up one end of the building. We ordered our drinks from the app before arriving, but had to wait a bit. While waiting, we also ordered some egg bites. Everything came at about the same time. Since I visit a lot of Starbucks stores, I'm used to ordering in advance, and walking in to see my drinks ready. My husband went through your drive thru today and ordered a caramel macchiato hot grande for me and a regular coffee for himself using my birthday gift card and when he got home what was supposed to be a caramel macchiato was not at all no caramel taste at all no drizzle some Foam but it was not a speciality coffee and this was the coffee you provided after you did a cold caramel macchiato in error then did the one you were supposed to do - so sad cause he brought it home and it was awful - not the first time your location has not gotten a specialty drink correct - I am so sad because you are the closest Starbucks but if you can't Make the drinks correctly - seriously and you pay more for the special ones - I think you should Make it right somehow- so not happy read more

They are so friendly and smile, ask how your day is going etc. The only problem is their customer drive thru is always busy. You can get thru pretty fast most of the time. Their tip jar is always full of 1 dollar bills. That tells me they are well liked read more

Rating is relative to other Starbucks locations. It really is one of the better ones I've been to. We came here after Sunday Mass for a pick-me-up and and some relaxed conversation before lunch. It fit the bill perfectly. This place is clean, tables and sugar/creamer area are both very neat and clean, and the lighting and ambiance are perfect for long hours of study and reading. The service is quick, communicative, and very polite and friendly. I went for my usual decaf and they actually did it pour over style which was so delicious! They keep the creamer and milk in the fridge when it's slow or too humid, so be sure to ask if you don't see it sitting out. My only issue - and it's certainly not their fault - is that it was a bit confusing to figure out how to get into the center where this was located. There isn't really a direct entrance off 135th. I love a Starbucks with friendly workers. They make up the entire business, and this location definitely has A+ staff! It was freezing cold and windy when we went to this location and asked the woman working the drive-thru location what she recommended for that weather. This is by far my favorite location! So much faster than the one on 119th. The staff is so nice and friendly. They know me by name and know my drink. The drive thru line is often really long in the morning, but it always moves super quick. The mobile order app is also awesome!! It is always ready when I get there, and picking up my coffee take less than 30 seconds. I have gone at night a couple time, or later in the afternoon, and have noticed that it does take longer. I have never had a more annoying experience with a business. I have called 4 times this week and no one answers their phone and I am always, ultimately, disconnected. My wife worked there and went to the emergency room and there is no other way that I can find to contact the business and tell them. This is ridiculous. This could perhaps be the worst Starbuck's I've ever been to. Not that I go to many...but this one really rubbed me the wrong way. I was there around 3:30pm on a weekday, so definitely not their rush, but it was busy. So busy that I could barely find a spot. That parking lot is not good. And they do have a drive-thru, but I absolutely hate hate hate drive-thru's for food/drink. Also, the drive-thru tends to attract a line that spills out on to the street, stopping traffic and blocking access to the parking lot from one side. When I got inside, I was ignored for literally about three minutes. Doesn't seem like they had enough people working. After those three minutes, I was just about to walk out when a lady finally said "I'll be with you soon". So I finally got my order made. No "sorry for the way" or even "thank you". Very helpful staff, I ordered a drink and used my starbucks app to pay for it. I mistakenly thought that the benefits of using my app would give me free syrups for my drink, which it does with the exception of mocha. After the barista apologized for the confusion she offered to make me another drink. I was not worried about the 25 extra cents so I said don't worry about it. She went to the back and came out with a free drink coupon. I was quite impressed that she would go out of the way to make sure I was happy (which I would have been just fine having to pay for a syrup that was not free) but thats why I took the time to leave 5 stars. read more

This is the best SBs in Olathe. They are super fast in the drive through (they do a little innovative recon and have someone out at the cars taking orders ahead--genious!) The staff is super friendly, all of them. Never met one that wasn't. The seating is huge compared to the other SBs, with lots of options for comfy chairs and tables. I drive by the one on 151st and Blackbob since they are the slowest one in Olathe just to go to this one. :) The only complaint I have is I wish there was a nice patio for nice days---the only place there is now is a few tables storefront. The service here in the drive through is very fast. However the line can be awkward at times because it is at the end of a strip mall. People end up lining up on the access road, and sometimes getting out can be confusing. That said, the staff is really pleasant and the coffee is always excellent. read more

This Starbucks is one of my favorites for a few reasons. Excellent service consistently and the staff works very quickly when ordering through the drive through. When the line at the drive through becomes too long, management sends additional staff out to the parking lot - taking orders early to lessen wait time - it works and it is much appreciated! Management always post friendly reminders asking for feedback so they can give better service and the staff is very competent. This location seems to truly want to do a good job for its customers. I can think of only one time my order was incorrect - unsolicited, they were very apologetic and gave me a free drink coupon for my delay, which really wasn't much of a delay! Great place! read more

This Starbucks is known as the worst in Olathe, with the one on 151st being the best. I just left and asked for a Grande Iced Caramel Macchiato and a Sweet Cream Cold Brew. The woman working the register was already rude on headset and rushed my boyfriend and I to order when we were trying to decide what we wanted. The woman handed out an iced drink and then a hot drink, upon this, my boyfriend and I hesitated. He told her he asked for an iced macchiato and she argued, saying that we asked for a hot. Even if we did order a hot drink, which we didn't, she should have immediately asked to remake it. I'm a barista myself and I know the protocol.
