Cozy little coffee spot down in south Olathe that I finally got to. The coffee shop is geared to exactly what their name is with comics and coffee offerings. Guests can grab a comic or play some video games while enjoying a sweet treat or grabbing their caffeine boost. I had the Lois Lane and the Banshee, both named after comic characters. I really enjoyed both, especially the banshee. Inside is nice and clean, as is the bathroom. I was kindly greeted upon arrival and thanked on my way out. Today my husband and I tried out this coffee shop for our afternoon caffeine fix. We were the only customers there at the time. My husband ordered a black iced tea with passion fruit flavored syrup and a raspberry danish, and I ordered my typical 16 ounce iced latte with oat milk and sugar free caramel. My husband said his danish was excellent and his tea was average. My latte was well flavored on the espresso but kind of watery . The customer service could've been better. We were not really greeted, we did the greeting. The vibe wasn't that welcoming and there wasn't very much seating. It was an awkward atmosphere and I don't recall any music to break up the silence. There was a small couch set up to play video games that took up too much space. We sat outside briefly at the two small tables that had stools available. It was windy so we decided to just leave with our purchases. read more

This place is just getting off the ground with good coffee, comics, and great conversation. What they lack in options for coffee is made up for with the excitement of talking about your comic book driven good old days, or the current state of the MCU and DCU. If that's your thing, then this is the place to hang out. There are planned get-togethers, that you should investigate, and there's likely to be a growing population of folks mixing it up here soon :-) What is missing can be overlooked by the novelty of the comic book fan factor, however there are two things that could make the place better for me personally. Number one, is heavy cream. Just gotta have it to make a keto-friendly latte/breve or however you want to label it. The next thing is furniture you can crash on, or work comfortably from. The big chains smack your butt with hard wooden seats, and even some local places do this, that call themselves hangouts. You can't truly be a "hangout" without at least a comfy couch or group of stuffed comfy chairs in one of the corners. There aren't a lot of options on the coffee list, but give it time, and I believe that will fill itself in. The place has a lot of 5-star potential! :-) All in all, I'd say dropping in here was a great experience, and you should try it! read more

Just stopped by the Comic Coffeehouse today and HIGHLY recommend it! I went in to get a few comics my toddler might like and the owner could not have been more friendly and helpful! On top of all that he makes a phenomenal cup of coffee that rivals any of the major coffee chains. Comic Coffeehouse is an amazing environment for anyone who seeks a relaxed atmosphere with free wifi and a great comic book theme! The cookies (which are baked locally) are so amazing, and the drinks are also great! This place seems like it would be prefect for a grab-and-go cup of coffee, and I stayed there to study and it was also a perfect place to do that as well! The service was great and the workers were patient in explaining what everything was when we had questions. I would definitely recommend this place, I've been to many coffee shops in the area but none are as fun as Comic Coffeehouse. read more

Their cheese danish was a delightful start to my day! The cashier was incredibly nice, and I loved the calm atmosphere present in the shop.
