This is not my favorite Vintage stock, although it is okay. For games & movies it is pretty good!! I usually find what I want and leave happy. Although some of the movie section could use an overhaul. Some classic movies are in both the classic and regular movie sections. But when it comes to music. I never find what I want. They are lacking in the country & folk department and they don't know how to categorize it. Plus I constantly find artists like Judy Collins and John Denver in the Pop & Rock section (they are Folk artists.) The game section is really pretty good. It is sectioned off by console, then alphabetically. So I can find what I want. There are a few more expensive games under glass up by the registers, but otherwise everything else is on the floor. read more

Don't expect much in return for the items you are selling. I took 200 music cds In to the store. They wanted to keep 150 of them and offered $24.00. Now that's a ripoff especially when they turn around and sell them for $4.00 ea. I said no. So I took hem back. I'm from St. Louis and they always gave $1.00 or more for each Cd. I won't go back there again. read more

Not a handicap accessible place. Took my dad in to see the store. He's 51 and had a stroke that left him paralyzed on one side. We could'nt maneuver around in the store at all. read more

First off, I'm just going to lay it out there: I'm a nerd when it comes to hunting for retro video games and consoles. I would much rather track down a hard-to-find game at a swap meet for pennies on the dollar than pay retail, but it doesn't always work out that way. Enter Vintage Stock and Movie Trading Company: the bane of all retro video game collectors. Every person that I've met who collects retro games despises this store, yet every one of them has bought something from there, usually recently, and because of one of only two reasons: a BOGO coupon or a holiday sale. Generally, this store IS a ripoff; that is, until a sale or e-mail coupon rolls around. Those usually make it at least reasonable. The one good thing I can say about Vintage Stock is that their staff is at least somewhat knowledgable. Although they're generally young and somewhat socially awkward, they tend to know their nerd interests (and when they don't, you end up with incorrectly-priced video games, and you get a great deal. It's a win-win.) read more

Not a bad spot for some nerdy things... Which is definitely my style. I love vintage stock stores and really don't have any complaints other than the size of the store being a bit small and therefore not as big of a selection. I would recommend this store but if you are looking for something in particular then you might want to call ahead. If you are just browsing then you can probably find a good thing or two to pick up. Be sure and browse through the isles and check out all the various collectables they have near the back and in the cases. The staff was friendly enough and happy to help, they answered our questions with ease and a bit of genuine geeky excitement. read more

I would suggest avoiding this location/ not going there at all within 30minutes of closing time. They are very adamant about reminding you when they close. I get it, I really do. You just want to go home, but I do not intend on staying there past close and I hate feeling like I'm imposing on your life before I even get the chance. Please hire some kids that aren't so entitled. read more

Not my favorite of Vintage Stock's in the metro, but it's the closest for me. The selection here is OK, but I tend to find what want at the Overland Park locations. Now I know the selection is not really their fault. My biggest complaint about this location is that in the past several months I have purchased 2 different Blu-rays on separate occasions only to find that the content did not match the title. One was labeled Blu-ray and DVD combo, only to have the Blu-ray in it. When I returned it it they treated me like I had scammed them, even though it was less than a few hours later, and offered me store credit - to which I took to another location and used. The second, I purchased a steelbook Blu-ray only to find out it had a generic Blu-ray in it, and of course it will be another store credit. Maybe instead of blaming the purchaser they should pay attention to the titles too when inspecting the damage on the back when they buy from people, so that people like me don't get scammed when I purchase from them - only for them to accuse me of a scam. This just makes me want to drive that extra 10-15 minutes to another location to avoid this scenario...again. read more

Always found what I was looking for when I went in and I usually walk out with stuff I never intended on buying.

My 5 star review is for the staff at this location, not the selection. You will find a bigger, wider selection of movies and games at the other locations, but you will not find better service and staff than you will at this VS. Fantastic customer service and respect! Thank you!!! read more

Not the biggest vintage stock, but they still have a great selection and an awesome staff

They do not stand behind their own products. When they make a mistake I should not have to pay for it. It's just that simple. I bought an XBox controller with a rechargeable battery. The battery would not charge, so I brought it back to the store 2 days later with the receipt, to replace it. Their policy is quite clear. It states as follows, and I quote: "We have extended our return policy to include items with a receipt within 30 days of purchase. Defective items will be exchanged for replacement." The manager threatened to call the police if I didn't leave his store. I don't care if the store has the wrong sticker on it. It was sold to me as a wireless controller with a rechargeable battery, that is why I bought it. Just because they put a sticker on it that says "CONTROLLER WRLS MICRO ALL" does not tell me that this is not covered by a warranty because they messed up and put the wrong sticker on it. they sold it to me, they should honor their own policy that is posted all over the place. It is on the registers at check out, on my receipt, and on their own web site. No where does it say the customer is responsible for the stores mistake. The manager talked down to me like I am intelligent. That is not acceptable under ANY circumstances. They have NOT heard the last from me, and I will have satisfaction! read more

Took my six year old to buy Pokemon cards here and the staff was great. Explained the various products to me really well and talked to my son like a peer. We will go back to buy cards again. read more
