i was looking for toys for 2 year old and couldn't find anything. it's mostly for older kids…read more nice store and displays are done well.

This store had the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. I work in sales…read moreand would never in a million years speak to any customer the way I was spoken to, by whom I can only assume was an owner of the store. I cannot for the life of me see why anyone would employ this type of person to work in this type of environment. My daughter, touched a remote control on a table which had a low sign on it that read, do not touch, ask for assistance. Not seeing the sign, she did what any child would do upon seeing remote toys left openly available out on a table. She picked up the remote and pressed a button which beeped. Immediately I directed her to put down the remote control but before she could put it down the disrespectful "woman" shouted from across the store, "DON'T TOUCH THAT, CAN'T YOU READ!" she approached us angrily and aggressively. I informed her my daughter had already put the controller down and then questioned the saleswoman if she had really asked me, if I knew how to read, she then told me I should "learn how to control my child."I began to leave with my daughter and called her by her name, the woman then felt it was necessary to mimic me, addressing my daughter by name, telling her she shouldn't touch things. The entire experience in this store was terrible, we were never greeted, and were mocked as we left with one of those sarcastic, "Have a nice day!" that we've all experienced. What type of management decides to leave a table of RC toys unattended in a corner out of sight from the register and expect children not to touch it? I have never been to a terrible toy store until today. Do not support this store.

My daughter turned one a week ago so we took a trip to get her very first bear we were hoping for…read morethe birthday bear and they have an ongoing promotion that you get a certain "birthday bear" & you pay the price of however old your child is turning. But allegedly there's a "national shortage". & that store didn't have any and didn't know when or if they'd get anymore. Both cashiers stood behind the counter unwilling to greet or assist us in anyway. Also I'd like to add we were the ONLY customers in the entire store & there were at least 3 employees there. They went above and beyond to give us the worst experience and made it their mission to give us the least enjoyable time possible. They even went as far as suggesting we just leave the mall and drive 30 minutes to another location to get the bear because evidently they had one. I'd spend more on gas than just paying for whatever one she picked out instead. But To me if you're offering a special birthday bear for a child's birthday and you don't have it, you should at least be willing to price override or discount one of the very basic bears instead. Had my child been a bit older and I didn't have enough money for the much more expensive bears this could have been an actual nightmare rather than a frustrating inconvenience. They also had a "sale" bin of bears to choose from but they're all full price and evidently the sale means they're part of they're 2 for $45 "deal so it's everyday which is to me a separate promotion from a "sale" item. That being said the bears eligible for the 2 for $45 are almost all $20-$22 so it's literally a horrible deal. Anyways luckily my sweet girl still managed to smile & have a pretty happy time. Hopefully her next experience IF we ever go to another Build-A-Bear again will go better and will DEFINITELY be at a different location.

We went for a birthday bear and Leslie was very helpful. I love the idea of the birthday bear…read morebecause the bears can be very costly. It was a fun experience for the kids being able to stuff their bears, name them and pick out clothes. Leslie also helped explain the rewards program and the benefits which include reminders to redeem a birthday bear!
