As much as I adore Starbucks, I have to be honest... the service at this location has been steadily going downhill. The rotating staff, the slow service, the inability to make certain advertised drinks... it's really inconvenient.
Although the staff has seemed to rotate over the last year or so, the new staff members are generally pretty friendly (well, for the most part at least). I've encountered a few staff members who have had attitude problems, but lately that hasn't been an issue. I think my biggest issue is the fact that some of the employees are unaware of the certain promotions going on and they don't even know how to prepare the seasonal drinks.
It's simple: when the seasons change, I want my seasonal drink. I've literally been there while they've had the promotion advertised right behind their heads, but they still don't even know how to make it! That's kind of ridiculous. I'm pretty basic; I don't drink coffee so I generally stick to my chai tea lattes. Occasionally, I'll try one of their seasonal fruit drinks but I usually stick with the chai tea all year around. But when they have their PUMPKIN chai tea latte... ooooh, I get them cravings.
It's the first week of fall. Twice, I've gone into this Starbucks, and the guy working keeps telling me that they don't or can't make my pumpkin chai tea latte! WTF?! It's on the MENU board! All you have to do is friggin' add the damn pumpkin syrup to my chai and I'll pay the extra dollar or 50 cents for it! Why is that so effing HARD?! Peet's has been getting most of my business lately because this Starbucks just hasn't been able to keep up.
The thing is, I loooove Starbucks' pumpkin chai! I love it more than any other place, but if they can't or won't make it for me, I'll just have to go somewhere else. Pleeeease make sure that all of your employees are fully trained on the seasonal drinks! And, they should also know how to make them too. I know they probably won't read this, but at least I can warn others before they decide to come to this location. I'm hoping that things will improve going forward. read more
