I called for the address during a peak busy time and he bothered to look up the address and try to explain where they were located as my "normal" out west Starbucks was now a California Closet. We were buying something with the waters and she was being really rude to us and only was going to let us have one water. This is a standalone Starbucks with its own private parking and drive-through. Inside they have two separate seating section one with leather seat sofa chairs on the other side a long community table and other tables around it. The staff was friendly and our drinks were made promptly. I ordered mine, soy Chai latte double the chai half ice and they did create a pretty good drink. We sat here in the evening after dinner until it was time to close out the place. The place was clean and it wasn't too dim when we were here chatting away. Its a nice experience, a good place to hang out or to study. They did have nice lounging music over the intercom not too loud. Overall, it was your typical Starbucks but they have nice customer service here and the layout was not too bad when you have a small group of people to hang out with as we were able to move tables together. read more

This Starbucks wasn't the nearest one to my hotel but with the convenience of earlier hours and a drive thru I was definitely for it. The drive thru was fairly fast at 6:30am on a Thursday. I got a pumpkin cream coke brew (embarrassing I know) and there wasn't a lot of pumpkin cream on top. This is always disappointing since you definitely pay a premium for that topping which turns into an expensive cup of cold brew if its lacking. I've used the drive thru at this location a handful of times and besides the long car lines I never had any complaints. I was in the area a few days ago and had time to spare so rather than go thru the drive thru I walked in. The line outside was super long, there were no empty seats inside and I was the only person standing by the register waiting to place my order. On one side of the desk was a girl that was doing something, what I don't know, but she saw me standing there and didn't acknowledge me. I seriously stood there for about 5 minutes until someone came to help me. At that point there were 2 of us in line. I understand that the drive thru is insane at this location but they shouldn't ignore the patrons that actually come inside to get their drink. When a guy finally came over to take my order he was not friendly. I will stay away from this place. read more

The convenience of a larger Starbucks with an efficient drive thru is a plus. The employees are always friendly, the facility is neat and clean and service is very good! Now for the bad news. They have been unable to serve a decent full bodied, flavored coffee drink here. After several trips, my husband and I have tried varying hot coffee drinks from lattes, to macchiato and more and there is always one obvious taste missing: Coffee! Today we decided to try this location again. It's very cold and a drive thru is awesome when you are running errands. We ordered a Cafe Mocha and a hot Caramel Macchiato. The mocha was akin to a watered down hot chocolate. The macchiato tasted like hot water followed by a weak caramel flavor. Both were missing the obvious heft of that coffee bite at the end. We came home and my husband made an espresso shot for my drink and one for his and mixed them into our Starbucks cups. Voila! The espresso was missing! This seems to be the problem every time we come to this particular location. I want to give this place a better rating because it has all the components of a five star shop, but the coffee drinks need to be recalibrated. read more

There are a few reasons why I gave this Starbucks 5 stars. I usually stay away from reviewing chains unless there's something different about that particular site. 1. They have a drive thru and it's the closest one to school. 2. They are open late! The SBux on Ogden and SBux next to DMK close earlier and this site closes at 11pm! 3. I'm surprised I don't hold a dukedom here considered I tried to be as good as possible with checking in here every time I come... which was nearly every day for over a couple months! I'd come here directly after work (which is in the loop) and I'd spend my night studying until they close. It's a nice location and there's adequate table space. I also loved how the employees started reaching out to get to know me better. They make the drinks correctly and I've seen them always offer to make up for any drinks the customer did not end up liking. Cops frequent this location for coffee so it's a very safe location and of course Oak Brook is very safe to begin with. read more

I stopped by this Starbucks to study with a friend and man, it was pretty empty. I would definitely love studying here if it would only stay open til later. It closes at 10 PM on weekdays and 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Service was super fast since it was not busy at all. This Starbucks had an awesome playlist going to help me study, too!
