Let's face it, we all know what to expect when visiting a Starbucks which makes it fairly simple to assess your experience location to location. Today I visited what's a new(er) location via the drive thru and while I had pretty high hopes since it's a really big and beautiful location, it unfortunately was nothing more than a mediocre visit (& this was during non peak hours). The location was out of 2 new food items and the employee recommended items that were no where near in the same vicinity as the items I originally ordered ... It's like in what world is falafel a great replacement for bacon lol. The new fall drink I ordered (pumpkin chai) tasted nothing like pumpkin and wasn't appropriately chilled either ... Needless to say it wasn't the greatest Starbucks visit but I will probably give them another shot and go inside because as I said it's a beautiful location and I'm still curious if dining in would be a different experience. read more

Four Star Bucks Usually a busy location. Parking lot always full and challenging to get in and out. A few street parking spots in front. Signage of mobile order pick up parking spot often ignored. I have been here numerous times and all my drinks are usually a 4 star. If not happy, they will remake the drink the way you like. The employee rollover is constant but they are all generally hard working people. I will definitely return for a caffeine kick! read more

I've been coming to this location for some time now out of convenience and it's definitely a bit disorganized, where you are almost guaranteed to wait for your order. We placed a mobile order that took over 20 minutes to fulfill, people were cutting the line, going in and out of the exit only door, it was just a confusing mess. The parking is limited and usually crowded leaving street parking as the only option. The true icing on the cake though is seeing employees during this time of Covid not wearing gloves and handling our drinks, hands on our lids and in our cups that we put to our mouths. Everything is excellent except that the staff who works there use the small parking lot and customers cannot find a spot during the day.

This is one of my favorite Starbucks if I'm going to sit and hang out or do some work. There's always a table open, never crazy crowded and the service is fantastic. I've never gotten the wrong drink here, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is just so much more relaxed compared to other locations. Unfortunately the relaxation ends when it comes time to parking. My real only complaint about this location is the parking lot. It's cramped, small and quite dangerous if you're not paying attention. I opt to park on the street whenever I can. Definitely recommend this spot to get some work done though. Great Starbucks location overall. Plus it's not the workers fault the parking lot is a mess. My review of this place is based on timeliness of order. It's Sunday and there's no one in here. I placed my order online and it said 3-6 mins. 20 mins later i'm still waiting for my coffee. When I was on vacation in Orlando I ordered my coffee from the same starbucks and it was ready before I got there and it was a 5 min drive. Cool white brick exterior, outdoor seating- and they used to have small indie bands perform on Tuesdays. Last trip here I was craving sweets (as I just came from Ralph's down the block) and there it was, the perfect snowman cookie. I approached the counter and the guys says, "Sorry we're out of coffee right now." And for the first time in my life I didn't care about the lack of coffee. "Gimme that snowman cookie!" This location probably has about 15 parking spots, but inevitably, at least half of them are always jacked by PNC Bank customers. This leaves you likely having to park on the street, where you either have to feed the meter every day except Sunday or else get ticketed by Nutley PD. On a positive note, the staff here has always been friendly and I've never had to wait too long for my order, but seating is somewhat limited so I recommend this location as a grab and go versus a sit and stay. read more

Due to its hidden location on a main drag (Franklin Avenue), you might be driving by this Starbucks every day and not know it. Its front is hidden by trees, and the parking lot so small (and shared with a barber shop) that it fits maybe 10 cars uncomfortably and is such a tight space to get out of. However, when you walk inside, the baristas treat you as if you are being welcomed back home. Very professional, very polite, very skilled. I used to love the Starbucks in Summit. It was convenient for me and the staff was always so nice. Recently within the past year and some change, it has gone SO down hill. I guess they switched managers and got a whole new staff (I don't recognize anyone anymore) but Everytime I walk in to get my coffee from mobile order, it 1) is always late 2) the baristas 9/10 are complaining and not treating other or customers kindly. I walk in and there are SUCH negative vibes to each-other and the customers. The baristas are not welcoming and warm. The past few days I've gone my coffee has been made extremely poorly and I feel like I just wasted my money. I don't even feel comfortable enough asking the baristas to fix it. I do not recommend going to this horrible Starbucks. Workers are very rude and need to learn how to handle situations properly. I walked into this Starbucks and it only had three tables (which were all taken). So I took my mobile order and sat down on a bench. I was waiting for a table to open up so my friend and I could eat. We waited for ten minutes and still no one left. An employee then rudely says to us "You guys aren't allowed to sit on the bench you could only sit at the tables due to social distancing." After ten minutes of waiting she finally tells us this, which she could've said right when we sat down. So we take our stuff and start walking out. On our way out the same employee starts talking to her coworkers about us. She said "Seriously like you aren't allowed to sit on the bench I don't get why they are there." We were already leaving and didn't need to hear this. She handled this situation badly. It could've gone a whole different way if she politely told us that people aren't allowed to sit there. Really great Starbucks! Came here on a random weeknight close to closing with a friend. I ordered ahead on the app and my drink was made super quickly and was ready for pick up. The store was clean and cozy. There's plenty of seating here compared to some other locations I've been to, and the staff is always very friendly! Ahh, Starbucks. Starbucks in Nutley is, well, no different than a Starbucks anywhere save Seattle -- it's where every NYC ex-pat or NYC wannabe-ex-pat (my God, yes!) comes to buy the NY Times and sip some unholy abomination done to coffee. I thought, surrounded by so many Italian-Americans, that a Starbucks would wither and die. I'm thinking, these are people who own espresso machines that *work*, why would they drop any coin here? Well, there's some Irish in Nutley. Yeah, and believe it or not, other parts of the globe seem to be equally well-represented. All of them, for whatever reason, feel perfectly fine ordering a "venti" when they really want a "large". For the record, I felt silly. And I drank it anyway. And it lasted an hour, probably due to its initial 190 degree temperature. I brought the kids, and met a friend of mine who brought his kids. They tore it up, in the way a three and two year old can, i.e. without too much damage and tolerant smiles all around. It helped that our boys were cute, and our daughters were adorable. Proud dads we are. So, it's not a four-star joint but it's a four-star experience. They treat customers exceptionally well and the quality is there. I don't particularly like generic world music, but it's tolerable, and of course I'm overpaying for coffee I'd prefer at a diner, so there it is. Nothing different at this Starbucks vs the others. Small private parking lot that fills up quickly but there is usually metered street parking nearby. Several tables that also usually occupied and of course free Wi-Fi. Some of the workers here are super nice and helpful. Others just look miserable and border on attitude. But this is a convenient location and I am a fan of Starbucks so I am here often but for only take out. read more

I'm currently writing this review from my car after receiving abysmal customer service. The barista Matt was unhelpful in making drink recommendations and stated "I'm not really a Starbucks person". We ordered bagels in addition to our order and didn't bother to hand it to us (even though we were both standing in plain sight). After waiting for 10 minutes for our drinks, we get to the car to eat and he provided no utensils to use the spread for the bagels. After going back in to ask for knives, he hands me one knife and says nothing else and turns his back. This is the worst service I've ever experienced at any Starbucks and Matt seriously needs to leave his personal problems at the door and learn to address customers with respect. If you're not a "Starbucks person", don't work at Starbucks and give lousy service. read more

Just had a really bad experience with an employee by name of Johanna at this location. I walked in an there was no one at the left side cashier . Then a man walked in behind me. After about 5 min Johanna walked up to the register and advised me that the man was before me. He even admitted I was there first l. But Johanna insisted that was not the case. I let the guy go before me anyway. Very poor customer service from Johanna who claims to eyes behind her back and insisted I was not there first l. Drove all the way there with my daughter, not really sure why they list the hours to be open until 8 PM, but then are closing at 6 PM. Still people in there but turned us away. I've always had pleasant experiences here! The staff are so friendly. I've seen them really hustle when it gets busy ,and don't mind the wait. I like that they have an area outside to sit as well. It's not a huge parking lot, so if you're going to drive I suggest trying to find street parking - though I usually walk. Every single time I go in there now, it takes 20 minutes or more to complete my order even if there is only one other customer in there. I went there with my bf around 8:30 on a Thursday. Not even super last minute since they close at 9pm. So we walk in there and there were at least 4 employees by the register just talking. No one acknowledged us. There was short spanish girl at the register still didn't acknowledge us. So we went up to her and asked if we can order. My bf ordered and I mentioned I'm getting one too and she looked annoyed. Even though she had a mask on I can tell. So as I'm telling her my order she's pressing buttons and looking at her coworker and talking to him so then to make sure she heard everything I'm like "light ice right?"
