This was the worse Frap I have ever had in my life from anywhere.
    Janae B.

I'm honestly surprised this Starbucks location is even still open. It's never busy, and after multiple visits, I understand why! the drinks are consistently terrible. My Frappuccino was almost entirely foam with barely any ice. When I politely asked the barista to remake it, she responded with, "Do you even know what a Frappuccino is?" which was incredibly rude and unprofessional. What made the experience even worse is that the same day, I ordered two drinks in person and tipped. I also placed a separate online order for two additional drinks last minute for my family, which I didn't tip on. It honestly felt like the drinks from the online order were purposely made poorly compared to the ones I ordered in person, which is not okay. This isn't a one-time issue either. I've been to this location three times, and every visit has been disappointing. On top of that, I ordered a specific bag of coffee, and they gave me the wrong one. When my husband went back to fix it, they took the returned bag and put it right back on the shelf before giving us the correct one. That's honestly disgusting!!! there's no way to know if a returned product has been tampered with. Not to mention every time I get a drink here of the lid is dirty. Between the poor quality drinks, rude service, and questionable hygiene practices, I will not be coming back.

This Starbucks drive-thru is unique among all others because of the magnificent cacti and succulents adorning their driveway-thru!

This Starbucks location, particularly the drive-thru, is unique among all Starbucks because they have taken the time, effort, and dedication to grow spectacular cacti and succulents! If you happen to be a succulent and cacti appreciator like myself, the absolutely HUGE cacti adorning their driveway are sure to delight you. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so please take a moment to check out the photos to see for yourself how truly magnificent these cacti really are.

A great and local Starbucks location on your way to downtown Monterey, the Naval Post Graduate School, or heading out of town. It's a newer Starbucks which is very roomy and the team is always helpful. Coffee always hits the spot in the morning along with a breakfast sandwich. Careful as you leave the location though as Del Monte Ave is pretty busy at time and a left turn could be pretty difficult!

Four tables outside facing east and 15 tables and more insight with comfortable cushiened seating

The place doesn't give on the main road, but is it huge inside and facing east. Meaning if you come here in the morning or noon it's full of light and very warm. Very busy place. The parking is ample and busy because it's a shopping center area. I've been to other Starbucks in the area and some of them are teeny tiny ones with a few tables. This place inside can accommodate 60 people easily. Service was relatively quick. I saw many students and many families meeting at this place and they were all middle-class looking and some of them actually seem to be going to wedding or something. But I message to my neighbor about this place. He said he goes there for studying a lot.

I was handed this dirty cup with fingerprints on the lid. I had to drink it with the lid off and nearly spilt it all over my car.

Nasty dirty cup was handed to me. This has never happened at any of the other Starbucks.

    Freebie earned! =)

Long line. Moved at a medium pace. Grande black iced tea with 3 Stevia ordered. I have a free one! Got up to the front and the worker started to hand over what looked an iced coffee. Told what was ordered was a tea and the worker was kind and apologized for the error. Shortly later handed over the black iced tea. Good service and drink! Recommended!!!

I Have been to many Starbucks in this area but this is The BEST Starbucks! We ordered our hot and cold drinks from the app. And we went to the drive through to pick up our order and there were no wait time. The drinks were ready when we arrived. Service : 5/5 ========== - The people who work there are nice and super friendly. - Our drinks were definitely better than other Starbucks. - We did not go inside but ambience was looking pretty nice and clean from outside. Drinks : 5/5 ========== - We ordered light iced Kiwi Starfruit Lemonade and Hot white chocolate mocha. - Both drinks were right spot on. The only thing is, I would say is if you ask for light on ice, just double confirm as we got little more ice in our drink but other than that drinks were super delicious! Overall , 5/5 would definitely go again when I am in the Monterey area!

This location is pretty nice as soon as you get in you can tell that the ambience is pretty kept up as well of course you have to stay with Covid measures and spread out when you sit down follow the lines and then order your drink currently midday there are not a lot of people inside the store but the drive-through is very very long so we decided to come inside and get our drinks they taste great and I need extra caramel in mind.

First of all, this is a historic bakery in a landmark building in downtown Monterey. As I approached, there was a short line on a Friday around 11 am. After a short wait, I reached the counter and scanned the pastry selection before picking several, asking the kind lady to pack them in two boxes and I brought a couple items back for a friend. After my purchase, I walked to the back area and noticed an outdoor dining area (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=ykERHL4g-pQklkgNQ0Vrsg) besides the counter area (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=-ieBhqZ5feBuptEl0S_sNw) and a small dining room inside (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=TD9doolFBh0oHc9lES_1eQ) (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=95x2W27l2Ab0PGph3FmdhQ). With meals scheduled for the rest of the day, I didn't start on anything until the next morning with the donut (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=0MJJ8kT57A1DTm3XZQFJXQ) for breakfast. It was interesting with the colorful topping; I did not ask the flavor but guessing it was raspberry. It was okay as I like my donuts a little less cakey. The next item that I tried was the blondie (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=XJNQw54ud1nxci3EZF5DXw); I really enjoyed this for dessert a few days later at home. It's been awhile so I really enjoyed this as there was plenty of chocolate pieces to contrast with the dough flavor. Next, I tried the carrot cake cookie (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=96&select=WYgw9_utf096q83PjynR8g) which I enjoyed as it wasn't overly rich. I was only okay with the almond financier (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=48&select=rC2OVgro1o-vIE2rVCNqtg) as the flavors sounded more interesting than they were. I enjoyed the chocolate buckwheat cookie (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=48&select=P6gb3w4hu0CRRQBOPc46jQ) which was very chocolatey. The line was about six deep when I arrived but it moved quickly. The order taker and cashier are efficient. There is coffee and other beverages available as well as meal items and wine and beer after 11 am (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=144&select=6Utt7H0U46KbXamwZoiwrQ). I will return and perhaps have lunch here on another visit. Nice to see more historic places especially for a bakery aptly named.

Plentiful sweet and savory baked goodies, coffee and tea options are available. Ended up selecting the ham and cheese croissant, a cinnamon pull apart muffin and a matcha tea with vanilla syrup (other syrups are also available). Ordered a medium matcha but it is totally a small sized one by my measure. Really like the cinnamon muffin and the ham and cheese croissant wasn't bad either. Don't forget the gooey yummy section at the bottom of the cinnamon muffin !!! Would recommend sitting in the nice courtyard tucked away in the back of the bakery. The Cella Restaurant Bar is also located in the courtyard also and I'm sure this would be a cool romantic spot to chill in the evenings. This appears to be a shared space with the bakery, restaurant and the Cooer smokers Adobe Flower Bouquet Bar/Museum. I was seated next to a small garden where lemon thyme, calendula, artichoke and other herbs and vegetables were planted. Would also suggest taking a stroll through the courtyard and take it all in.... Such a nice area to have a private party or event !

I asked the employee about it, and he told me it was because of the raspberry syrup, which honestly made absolutely no sense. I went back to the counter and asked if I could just get an iced coffee instead. Rather than making a new drink, he said he could add more matcha powder to the cup I already had. He did that, and somehow my matcha went from being white to gray. At that point, I was already pretty frustrated. I finally just asked for an iced coffee because I was over it. They handed me a completely black iced coffee. So I essentially paid $6 for them to pour coffee and water over ice. By that point, I was genuinely so irritated hearing the two coworkers make jokes about doing better next time etc that I just walked out. I completely understand that mistakes happen, but the entire situation was handled so poorly. I tried multiple times to resolve the issue, and somehow I still ended up with a drink I didn't want, after wasting both my time and my money. $6 might not seem like a lot, but paying for something you didn't order and then having the situation handled this poorly is incredibly frustrating. Definitely not the experience I expected, and unfortunately, not one I'd want to repeat.

I really like this place - even the pastries are good and thats a good thing because we bought a bunch of them.
