Every…read moreweekend we try to hit up a new local coffee shop, and on this morning we decided to go to Aroma Joe's. We happened to be in Monroeville picking up a Christmas gift when I fired up Yelp and noticed there was an Aroma Joe's nearby. While we had not been to this specific location, we have visited the one in Greensburg a couple of times, so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect. This Aroma Joe's location only offers a drive thru and a walk up window. Since it was cold on the day we were there, we chose the drive thru. After looking over the menu, I decided on a hot Paris Toast latte, while my wife went with an iced peppermint latte. The menu describes the Paris Toast latte as having flavors of maple, brown sugar cinnamon, and shortbread. From the time we ordered until we received our drinks took about five minutes, so the staff here was definitely efficient. My coffee ended up being good. The flavorings came through nicely without hiding the coffee itself. The espresso also had a strong flavor, although it did leave my mouth feeling a bit dry for whatever reason. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our coffees, so why not.

I got a honey cinnamon latte that they had, one of their specialty drinks and it was delicious! The coffee itself is great quality. Veteran-Owned as well so it's a great place to support. I found street parking pretty easily, it's right along the main drag. I saw that they had one table in the back that was filled with vets and a service dog working on a puzzle, it warmed my heart. They roast their own beans here so you can check out all of the equipment as well.

This used to be called Vault because of being in an old bank, but they embraced their veteran owned status and rebranded. The decor is fun and not over the top and they have comfortable seating. Brave Bean is. great shop right on Broadway (Pitcarin's main street). They have a convenient drive through and there is also street parking. They have. fairly standard coffee shop menu plus they always have fun seasonal specials. Yes things like peppermint mocha and pumpkin spice latte, but also firecracker latte for patriotic holidays. They have a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches as well. They taste fresh and are a nice size. Staff is friendly, informative and attentive. They are great at helping you make decisions if you are stuck on what to get or might not be a regular coffee drinker. A real gem of a place I am happy to have nearby.

Such sweet people that truly love and care about the food and drink they are serving. I got the Vampire Slayer on a croissant. This is a top 10 bite of Pittsburgh for me. Best breakfast sandwich I've had in my life and big enough to feed you for breakfast lunch AND dinner. As always, this is a staple for my first stop while home visiting. The parking was rough and I sure hope something gets figured out but if I have to drive around for 20 min until someone moves, I'll do it! Especially for what's inside. I picked up 2 cold brews for my bff, banana pudding for my pops and for me a cookie butter pudding (I think) for myself. To top it off I picked up a banana smores iced latte. No wonder this place is a diamond in the rough. I have never and I mean never had anything bad here. And it def put a smile on my face that the owner knew who I was and knows my love for her business. Please do yourself a favor and go here. Take a day drive and try it out. I promise you - you will not be disappointed.

The drink menu is extensive and full of fun. We went with friends and grabbed Dirty Cherry Pop Lotus Energy Drink, Oatmilk Cold Brew, and Oatmilk Chai Latte. The drinks are so flavorful and fun to sip on! We also grabbed food - a croffle should be more recognized. Croissant waffles rival the popular cronut - croissant donut. We grabbed a Ham and Cheese Croffle and a Cookie Butter Croffle. Everything was made quick even with a large line for the entire time that we were there! The interior is gorgeous. Murals on the walls, photo booth ready in the corner, different size and types of tables and chairs, open air to the back patio with tables right on the bike trail. This Saturday, they even had a pop-up table with Cookey inside the shop too!

The baristas were incredibly friendly, kind, engaging, and welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. While the staff was friendly, the owner didn't come across as friendly, which changed the vibe a little. I ordered two coffees and a matcha, and unfortunately all three drinks tasted more like watered down milk, than actual coffee or matcha. The coffee-to-ice-to-milk ratio is way way off, and the flavor just didn't come through for any of the drinks. I'll also say, the sign claiming "The world's best canned Matcha" set the bar high... and it absolutely didn't deliver. That's a huge reach. I tried the croffle flight as well. Again, it looked great in pictures, but for $20, it was...meh......just okay. Not horrible, just not something I'd go out of my way for again. Overall, if you're going here for aesthetics and photo ops, this place nails it. But if you actually care about how your coffee or matcha tastes, you will likely leave disappointed. As a trusted Yelp Elite Member, this is not a business I could or would recommend.

Cute! Excellent espresso and they make their own syrups!…read more The coffee syrups are made in house, aside from the sugar free options. This is a sure way to get bonus points in my book! A homemade syrup goes great lengths. I had the homemade raspberry in a mocha and it was absolutely delicious, rich, and divine while still being able to actually taste the espresso/coffee flavors. This is just the way a perfectly crafted latte should be in my opinion. Space is small, standing room only inside. More of a grab and go situation. The man working on the Sunday morning I stopped in was friendly, quick, and efficient. Service wasn't the quickest since there was a small line inside and only one person working, but this was not an issue for a Sunday morning coffee stop where I was willing to take my time!

Parking was easy with 2 hour street parking right nearby, which made this a low-stress stop. I was greeted by festive holiday decor when I walked in, which made the space feel warm and inviting. There are a few small tables outside for nicer weather, and inside there are three high tables meant for standing only, so it is more of a grab and go spot than a place to linger. I ordered my usual iced London Fog with almond milk. It took a few minutes to brew as expected. While waiting, I looked around and noticed a limited selection of pastries like scones, plus a small fridge with to-go sandwiches. Along one wall they also had branded merch and coffee brewing equipment for sale. Overall, this is a solid neighborhood coffee shop with quality drinks and a streamlined setup.
