I was a customer here one time on a Saturday. The business was busy with customers, but the employees worked efficiently and politely. I was lucky enough to get some seating indoors. The business had racks and shelves of new and secondhand goods such as totes, shirts, hats, mugs, and shoes. Furthermore, Harmony Acres farm was there to sell their milks and cheeses, and I got to see one of their calves. For $20, I bought the Signature Flight, which consisted of Aloha Latte (espresso, coconut, and macadamia), RoseAnn Latte (espresso, chocolate, caramel, and cream), Matcha Latte (matcha, vanilla, and cold foam), Chai Latte (chai tea and milk), and Blue Bird Lotus (blueberry, açaí, and coconut). If this is the coffee, I got my first time I would be very disappointed. So I know that there is potential here for a great cup of coffee, but I think it depends on your barista. I love how they partner with other local businesses including 19 Coffee Company, Pastries A La Carte, and Becca Bakes. In addition to these pastries there are some light bites such as sandwiches available. They have space to feature some local makers of things like jewelry and once I even bought a little painting created by a dog here to support the dog's medical treatment. That's the kind of local establishment you're dealing with and it's why I love them. All of this and I haven't even gotten to how cozy this place is. The decor is thoughtful with lots of room to sit and work or relax. There's a little book nook area, an outdoor patio, and spaces by the window where you can people watch out Brookline Blvd. The people are always super nice. It's a great choice for your neighborhood coffee shop.

It's located on Stevenson Place in that weird triangle where East Liberty, Friendship, and Shadyside meet. Even though I'm very familiar with the area, I didn't even know there was a street there. Parking was tight and at a premium, even early on a Sunday morning, so my wife jumped out and ordered for both of us while I circled the block. For our drinks on this morning I ended up with an iced salted caramel date latte while my wife got an iced coconut Americano. Mine was described as "organic dates, maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt," and I couldn't find a description for my wife's drink. It only took a few minutes before she was back in the car with both of our coffees. Mine ended up being really good. From the first sip to the last, the coffee flavor remained front and center, which isn't always easy to accomplish with an iced drink. Even the foam on top had a strong coffee flavor. Beyond that, I picked up a pleasant sweetness, which I assume came primarily from the dates, although the maple syrup likely contributed as well. On the finish I could definitely taste both the sea salt and a subtle dryness from the dates. I was also able to sneak a sip of my wife's coffee, and the coconut cream on top was delicious. When combined with the espresso, it reminded me a bit of an affogato because of the contrast between the creamy coconut and the bold coffee. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our drinks, and I would love to come back and try more of their specials.

It was definitely better but again -- something about the fruit syrups taste off to me. It was almost....rusty/metallic tasting if that makes sense? I couldn't finish the drink because of that weird taste. The matcha itself is good though. I know that they make the fruit syrups in house which is why I feel bad giving a mid review but they have tasted off both times I have been. Definitely will come back to try the non-fruit drinks though and I'm sure they are better!

We grabbed a latte off the world menu - Pizzelle Latte... and then with the beauty of the displays, we grabbed a Smores Brownie from the front counter!! The drink was ready very quickly.. even on a busy day.. and the barista walked it over to our table inside. They do have a wonderful outdoor seating patio too!!
