Cutest little coffee trailer with a decent sized menu! Lotus energy drinks as well as normal coffee and latte menus. They have baked goods as well! Super nice everytime I have gone through! I got their kaleidoscope matcha and it was very good! I love the cans that they come in! You can leave them closed until you get somewhere or grab an extra for another day! I can't wait to try more!

I was looking for an activity to do on Friday, observed Veteran's Day. School was closed, and the…read moreveteran in our home was off of work. I randomly thought of Brushes & Beans. We called around noon, and they made us a 2:30pm reservation. We arrived a bit early so my husband and I could order coffees, and we bought a baked good for my children (ages 4 and 6). I think some might be caught off guard by the macchiato at this cafe, but they are true to Italian size and style (says the prior northern Italy resident). My husband ordered a double and had them add the bourbon caramel flavoring to it (not true to Italian style - ha!). He said he really liked it, and I enjoyed teasing him with a little "pinkies up!" call out when taking his photo. I ordered a decaf Americano (boring, I know) and also enjoyed it. Our children split a chocolate chip scone. There were a variety of muffins to choose from, croissants, and gluten-free items as well. Soon, it was time for our painting reservation. I have to say, everyone we interacted with was patient, helpful, and kind. They each seem to enjoy their job. They came around the tables often to ask if we need anything, and would bring additional paint or offer help and advice when needed. There is a nice variety of ceramics to choose from for painting as well. All in all, we very much enjoyed our visit and would certainly go back again! I was thinking it could be a fun outing for a Girl Scout troop or any kind of club or organization. You could go and paint ornaments, which are affordable and easy to do. I may have to pass that idea past our Girl Scout troop's leader. :)

I love Brushes and Beans! Usually paint your own pottery places are BYO for food and drinks, but…read morethey are half coffee shop, half pottery pain. They have a huge selection of items to paint and prices and pieces range from around $8 to up to $80. You pick your piece and paint colors and then go to work. To get the true color you need three coats, so it can tale awhile. But it is a really fun experience and the staff is really helpful. They fire your piece and you come back to pick it up in a week or two. Great for something to do with the kids, a date, time with friends or even a fun solo activity.

I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife and our twins for our morning coffee. Every…read moreweekend we try to hit up a new local coffee shop, and on this morning we decided to go to Aroma Joe's. We happened to be in Monroeville picking up a Christmas gift when I fired up Yelp and noticed there was an Aroma Joe's nearby. While we had not been to this specific location, we have visited the one in Greensburg a couple of times, so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect. This Aroma Joe's location only offers a drive thru and a walk up window. Since it was cold on the day we were there, we chose the drive thru. After looking over the menu, I decided on a hot Paris Toast latte, while my wife went with an iced peppermint latte. The menu describes the Paris Toast latte as having flavors of maple, brown sugar cinnamon, and shortbread. From the time we ordered until we received our drinks took about five minutes, so the staff here was definitely efficient. My coffee ended up being good. The flavorings came through nicely without hiding the coffee itself. The espresso also had a strong flavor, although it did leave my mouth feeling a bit dry for whatever reason. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our coffees, so why not.

I recently started working in the Monroeville area, and have been trying to explore all of the…read morespots around. I am not from, nor did I typically frequent, this side of town, so I have been enjoying trying a lot of new spots! One of those was Aroma Joe's. I visited here early on a Thursday morning on my way into work. This shop is located a little bit off of William Penn Highway, so it is close to a main road without the main road traffic. They have their own parking lot, and it is very easy to go in and out of the lot. When I stopped, it was not too busy yet. I decided to walk up and order at the window, since I had never been before. You can either order at the window or go through the drive-thru. The girl who took my order was very friendly and helpful. She gave me some information about the business, and gave me details on their menu and flavoring options. I was even offered a paper menu to take with me for future visits when I told her it was my first time visiting. Overall, she gave great customer service! Eventually, I decided on on the 24 Ounce Paris Toast signature latte with skim milk. Typically with any coffee drink with flavoring, I request it to be half sweet just solely based on personal preference. The accommodated the request for me with no problem. My drink was ready for me before I was even finished paying, so speed of service is superb. I enjoyed my drink very much! I plan to frequent there more, since I will be in this area of town more for at least the near future. I hope to try some of their seasonal offerings, and potentially some food items in the future. My only suggestion would be for the company to consider different options for their breakfast sandwiches. From what I was told, I believe they are premade, so you cannot switch out the bread the sandwiches come on. I know this goes beyond this location, but I would be more inclined to order something like that if I could choose my preferred meat and bread combination. Overall, I very much enjoyed this first visit to Aroma Joe's. The atmosphere, staff, and product are all great here. The customer service alone would have be coming back for another trip. I would highly recommend a stop here if you are in the Monroeville area looking for a coffee drink!
