This place definitely stays busy, but I totally understand why! :)…read more I was in town for a few days and ended up coming here twice for my morning coffee fix. Both times, I ordered their seasonal iced flannel latte (pumpkin & maple), and it was so good! My son enjoyed a kid's hot chocolate, and we sat at a table for a while just taking in the vibes. I also tried the Happy Cow vegan breakfast burrito, which was yummy and surprisingly filling. I really like that they have two separate pickup areas (one for food and one for drinks), it seems to keep things moving even when they're busy. The shop itself is welcoming, and all of the staff I interacted with were friendly. There's also a drive-thru window for anyone who wants to grab their drink/food without going inside. If I find myself in the area again, I'll definitely be stopping back in for another latte!

The main downside was the seating. It gets pretty packed, so we ended up sharing a table with some other people. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did make it a little harder to settle in and hang out. The parking lot can also get a bit chaotic since the drive-thru creates a pretty significant wait and congestion at times. Overall, though, it was a nice spot for a quick coffee.

It was challenging to get out of the house at the planned time (read: we have a threenager) and I knew that it would make a difference getting there early. We arrived to a full parking lot and you can imagine my fading excitement as I watched the two remaining chocolate frosted yeast donuts be bagged for the two customers before me in line. Don't get me wrong: Everything else looked great, but if it ain't chocolate I don't want it. I swallowed my pride and asked if there were ANY more of the prized chocolatey treats in the back. The staff took pity on me and FRESHLY DIPPED two for me. They were still warm when I got to the car and tasted what's now my favorite local donut. And that is the story of how Arundel Donuts won my undying loyalty that winter morning.

It might look tiny, but don't misjudge the coffee and other drinks they are making here! I actually went back after my first order to try another beverage, it was that good. I started with a Fall-flavored 'refresher,' though I can't honestly remember the name. But, it was amazing! I was down the strip a few shops for an event, so I popped back to The Big Bean before they closed for their "Not Ready for Winter" coffee concoction. Another winner! I also picked up a couple of biscotti for later. When we did finally get around to trying them, they were incredible! Very hard and crunchy as a biscotti should be, and perfect for soaking up some coffee for dunking. And the flavors are perfect. Other people were ordering their breakfast sandwiches, which honestly looked and smelled incredible... I just didn't have room for food that day. Or, I would have totally ordered one just based off of others' orders alone! The real five-star facet here, though, was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, despite how busy they were. They still found time for friendly and cheerful banter while ringing everyone up. I don't think team members get enough credit when they go above and beyond, but please take the time to tip or at least acknowledge the fantastic folks here! Overall, it's a wonderful coffee shop that I wish were closer to home! And... had more parking! The number and orientation of spots here isn't ideal, but it's worth an extra walk (huge lot across the street) for the drinks, snacks, and people at The Big Bean. Outstanding overall experience!
