This is the closet Starbucks is the closest closest one to my house and I wish that I could give him a better review but honestly, this is one of the worst ones on Kendall Drive. Every time we go, the staff is very occupied with talking and less working. Especially when there's a lot of people there you would think they would be working even harder. Oh wow Today when I went with my mom, they were rushed. I had ordered my order through the app so it wouldn't be such a hassle to go in there. When I went in there, they were slammed, which is fine. I waited for my order and when I went to pick it up, they had my order confused with somebody else's order, but I found my two coffees and took them when I realized, as I was walking out, they hadn't even put the coffee sleeves on. I really tried giving this place the benefit of the doubt. First off Starbucks is way overpriced. You can get premium coffee at lower prices at many places in Kendall. See my 5 star reviews for recommendations. First big issue with this Starbucks is they are slow, even when its not packed with people or mobile orders. Second big issue is they hire a bunch of kids with no work ethic. They chit chat and stop working while they converse. Which delays orders and I've also gotten the wrong order on more than one occasion. Don't play with a man's coffee when his sugar is low. I finally got tired of this establishment playing games. I was one of the people that camped out for a holiday Bear cup and this Starbucks did not implement the limit rule like other Starbucks stores did. A little group of 4 high school girls decided to go and grab 5,6,7 cups and merch products EACH and EVERY SINGLE BEAR CUP. I called other stores and they told me it is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting that management at this store allowed one party of people to ransack the store. There was no order. It was chaos and it was disrespectful to those people that had been waiting hours. The employees also set aside their cups before the store even opened which highly limited the supply. I've spent more money at this Starbucks than I can count--both drinks and food, I think you as a reader could likely relate it's a luxury. Today, however, the manager at this location lost my business. I was asked to leave if I wasn't making a purchase, despite explaining that I was waiting for a friend to have lunch while we studied. Even as a regular, the manager insisted on enforcing this 'new policy.' While he may have just been doing his job, it's clear that Starbucks prioritizes revenue over customer loyalty or service. The service is slow here as they are either backed up with online orders or chatting amongst other while people wait online. With the foot traffic this location experiences they should consider up-staffing. The floor here is usually dirty and trash left in corners. Having another employee would help keep this place clean. This place has become stupid as hell. I used to come and chill out, it was nice, but now they're demanding your money or you can't even stay. Water used to be free, and now you have to pay for something to get it, I don't have that much money, sometimes I just want some water. You also can't relax on the couch without buying something or else they kick you. This place has become so greedy that you can't even chill without spending money. I worked in the restaurant industry for 16 years. Management and proper staffing is crucial. Service and food was great. Things came out in a timely manner for the number of staff that was working. Three employees for the morning rush is definitely not enough. One working coffee, one on the register and the third is preparing the hot food. These three have to hold down the orders from the customers walking in and the onslaught of mobile orders. Whoever management is is doing them and the store a disservice. One more person to help with the coffee order would have made a world of difference. As I sit here typing this I am can count at 12 to 13 people waiting on their orders. This is not the first time I have seen this at this Starbucks. Originally I thought maybe someone called off but seeing it happen more than once, and having the experience I have, it makes me think staffing isn't being done right. read more

This place never seems to amaze me. I have my moments when I want to give up Starbucks completely. I ordered though the app at 10:43 am, arrive to Starbucks at 10:55 am. You would think while I'm sitting there along with everyone else that they would ask me if I needed anything. I haven't been here in a while and they moved the mobile ordered to the far right by the pastries etc. which is fine but they failed to mention it until I got tired of waiting. My favorite Starbucks store so far! I have been coming to this one for over 5 years and I will keep on coming, even though I have a closer one I love this one. The way they prepare the coffee we order it's great, their service always go above and beyond. They are so nice with me always and with the rest of the customers. They make sure I get what I request and I'm kind of picky when I order my coffee. Bathrooms is clean, tables and chairs always clean. On my way to Key Biscayne and stopped by Starbucks to pick up two Mocha Latte's, one egg cheese and bacon sandwich and one chorizo sandwich. My order ended up being close to $20. I couldn't believe how expensive eating at Starbucks would be cause usually I don't come here other than a small coffee at times. The sandwiches were very small and not so filling. Your better off just sticking to the coffee's. The service was quick and they were very nice. They offer free Wi-Fi and have inside and outside seating. Its also very clean. The parking is close and they also have a bike ramp. I believe Starbucks is overrated and expensive for nothing. If i do come back it would probably be the one inside Barnes in Noble in Kendall you could at least read some books and much more spacious. read more

Not a big fan of service where employees are so wrapped up in their own conversations they forget to engage with the customer. Had this experience at this particular starbucks and I'm not a fan of that treatment. Too bad for my double chocolate chip frap cause it was pretty yum...would've hooked it up with some stars based on that, but starbucks are on every corner so I'll just have to find a better suited one all around that deserves the better rating. read more

Dropped in for my Carmel Frappuccino!! Yummy! There was no line. Nice group of people! Some Mom's United while kids were on their devices. Others were on laptops. Okay so you can find a starbucks on almost any corner but this one has great baristas, knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to hang out have a chat or catch up on some reading on your tablet while having a great cup of coffee. Recently I was their and the barista working at the time mentioned you can now have Coconut Milk with your lattes. The combination with the Flan Latte available now is just too good for words!!! THANK YOU barista for that awesome tip. Some of my favs are the; Pumpkin Spice, Creme Brule, Gingerbread and now of course the Flan. I know they have a Tiramisu but im sure its great too. Besides their great coffee making the staff is always attentive and friendly. Cleanliness is always on par and I never have issues with seating. Granted it gets busy but if you're willing to wait and enjoy your coffee surely you'll find seats become available. read more

Lots of parking in a busy street with lots of other businesses and a really nice patio. Lots of nice tables and chairs but the leather chairs by the door are gross and need replaced. The bathrooms and the place is clean but all I keep looking at are those chair. What are you thinking really my chairs were in better shape in my college dorm. read more

Nice baristas. Yummy drinks. Typical wait time (5-10 minutes) even with no one in line. Usually most seats are taken up but either way I always take it to go when I come to this location. Coffee from Sbucks, Chocolate Chip Cookie from Pei Wei ($1 and MUCH tastier than SB's) Tip: in the plaza with the Walgreens next to Chipotle and Pei Wei. Why 4 stars and not 5? Walked in for the first time, about 8 persons waiting for their order. Got to the register in 4mins, notice the person ahead being told they had no stock of his coffee (1015am), and when I asked for my order I was told there would be a 30min wait for the coffee! Seriously, never has Starbucks had this wait time...Dadeland Starbucks is less staffed than this store and gets you in and out in 5-8mins! My favorite part about this particular location is the staff, they're all so friendly and always try to engage in conversation. Not the first time I walk in and out without being acknowledge by any of the employees. I just made a mobile order and I sat on the side of pick up, I tried making eye contact with the employee and she did not acknowledge me, another employee approached her and had dialog with her and still nobody acknowledged me. The second employee that approached came back and dropped off my order without calling out the name or asking me if I needed anything. In a place where you make the effort to collect customers' names to make the experience personable I expect to at least be greated and asked if I need any help. Solid, reliable Starbucks most of the time but because I guess of staffing issues that exist everywhere they have been constantly turning over the people who work here. It's gone downhill the last year or so. The menu is standard, no issues there but some of the staff need better training. It's not an issue of customer service, they are very nice, greet customers well and provide service with a smile, but... the formerly experienced workforce has been slowly replaced with a lot of college-aged "kids" (now in my later 30s have I really become that guy? *gasp* the old fogey looking at early 20s as kids) who are quite frankly sometimes all over the place. Everything is a game, lots of joking and horsing around etc which leads to mistakes. A couple times I've gotten orders wrong and had to come back, thankfully I check my bags at the latest when I get to my car. Twice I had ordered a breakfast sandwich and when I got to my car realized I had a piece of pumpkin pound cake in there instead of my sandwich. Requested hot coffee, get handed iced coffee. That sort of thing. You have to be vigilant once you get your stuff. To top it off, I once paid with a generic Visa gift card I had as a Christmas gift. Swiped, supposedly wouldn't go through. She made me swipe it again. Got a receipt, went on my way. Later I had calculated how much I had left and tried to make a purchase at a store, only to find my card was empty. Checked transactions online and saw a double charge on Starbucks for the same amount. Long story short went back, tried to talk to everyone there including the manager, (girl who had served me was gone for the day) and no one could resolve my issue. They insisted that they could only find one transaction in there for me. Would have to take the fight corporate. The company that issued the visa gift card insisted that I take it up with Starbucks to the full extent before being able to claim it for fraud. Seriously? Very frustrating. Eventually I had to let it go because I'm a busy professional and don't have time and patience to go into a monthlong battle with 100 calls and emails back and forth to fight for $14. It just wasn't worth it. But still it's irritating because it is my money that was lost. From now on I either pay cash there or use one of my actual credit cards (not a prepaid) that if something were to go wrong, they respond and fix it immediately. read more
