If you're a cortado lover like I am, Starbucks is my absolute go-to. I love that their version comes with three shots of espresso instead of the usual one or two you find elsewhere. I order it with oat milk and it's always smooth and delicious. Their espresso is so good on its own that I never even need to add sugar. One of my favorite things is being able to pre-order through the app so I can skip the line. It's even better when I've saved up enough rewards points to grab one for free. I just wish the points didn't expire so quickly since I don't always make it there regularly. Starbucks is also a great spot to get some work done. They offer free Wi-Fi, and if you're staying in the café, certain drinks qualify for free refills. It's a convenient, reliable place whether you're stopping in for your favorite espresso drink or settling in to be productive for a while. read more

Can the managers add problem solving to the training for all employees? I just went through the drive through and asked for two 8 oz cups of lemonade with sip lids for the kids. Was told I couldn't because there's no way to ring it out as two kids lemonades and they suggested two twelve ounce lemonades. I get it, but also two small 8 oz hot cups with a little ice and 6 oz of lemonade equals one full lemonade. So I asked for that and was met with a snotty "I guess we can do that". Most chains are the same to me, so I really only leave reviews for them when they stand out from the others. This Starbucks is special. I come very often and bring another cup to also ask for ice water because I'm an ice chewer (I know, it's terrible), and I love Starbucks water. I used to be shy to ask for water on the side, but the staff here really makes me feel welcomed. I know it might not seem like a big deal to ask, but it's like when I walk in, they make eye contact with me, smile, and they know what I want before I even say anything. I always tell everyone how friendly they are so I thought I'd share here too. On another note, there are days when they are very busy and the drive-thru line wraps around the back, but they are doing their best. Worst service ever! As a frequent Starbucks customer, I have never experienced someone from the public taking my drink, then returning it, which is what happened today. When the barista was alerted of this, she went about her business and waited on everybody else. In fact, I had to ask a different barista if it would be quicker to go outside and go through the drive-through.... Let me add there was no one at the drive-through. Watching paint dry would have been quicker than the service I received! If you're wondering if it was busy, not one person was waiting in line placing an order at the drive-through or inside. read more

Not moving very fast at all in drive-thru took off a star because it was only my car and two others for ten minutes. I ordered the creme brulee latte that just came back today . Despite this being the closest Starbucks to me, it is by far one of the best at least in terms of drive thru's. They even give dog treats if your traveling with your pup!! Order is always accurate, staff are always friendly and what more can you say about a Starbucks? It's a smaller location but they have indoor and outdoor seating weather permitting. Bathrooms have been clean the few times I've run in to use them! read more

I have Starbucks everyday and have done so for too long to count. This location was once upon a time semi decent and I am unsure what happened to it. There are times when I arrive in the morning where there are no cars and I still have to wait an absurd amount of time for a cup of coffee. This is only to have them mess up my order at MINIMUM 3x a week (Mind you I come here at least 7-10x a week). If I decide to go in for faster service? No dice, they're horribly slow. Coffee-wise, you can't really mess up coffee or can you? Depending on what time you go here, expect to get old coffee. There is also one of the barristas that reminds me of the "Esqueleto" character from Nacho Libre. He seems to be the only semi clueful person in the location, the rest seem to be stuck on stupid or high off of java beans or something. I solely continue going here because my alternatives are worst. Dunkin Donuts tastes like I'm chewing on a pencil. I'm giving them two stars simply because they don't deserve just one star nor do they deserve above two stars. Starbacks management if you read this, I hope you can have your staff start drinking some of your coffee to speed up their pace. read more

Sometimes I go to this Starbucks when I'm driving home from a long night of call. The staff is always smiling and always friendly, like most of the Starbucks I frequent. Downfall is the parking, getting in and out of the parking lot around the back, people don't pay attention, so crossing the street to get to your car can be dangerous to your health, not to mention your coffee!! read more

we ordered without any issues. The lady who gave us our coffee on Sunday was a little out of it in the AM. I don't know if she didn't have her Wheaties. It was quick fast, but I don't understand how your a drive through and put my milk in but NOT my sugars. I had to spill in a plastic bag to open the top while we were in a rush to make it back to NYC. Mind you it was our fault we needed to be back, but what sense does that make? I had to ensure everything was staying in the cup. It was a tough thing going on for 830am, not the thing to be doing. I'll keep this short and sweet since I have a handful of other Starbucks reviews: Pros: - Drive through. More of these need to exist. - Friendly staff. - Food Case was still somewhat full at 8pm on Wednesday. - Clean. Very, very clean. What a nice surprise this was. Cons: - While the staff was friendly, they were heavily inundated with customers at the drive through line that went around the building and then some - this was at 8pm on a Tuesday night so I can't even imagine what a 7am line looks like. I had two wait far too long to get a simple drink. Thankfully they were courteous and apologized for the wait which was more than expected. - Layout - this has always been my biggest gripe about Starbucks locations. I don't know who they invest in for their interior designers or who they work with that designs the layout but time and time again, it's wasted space or just a really poorly selected location. This is tables down a narrow row that left me feeling wildly claustrophobic. Other than that, the experience was great. Customer service was top notch. I'd definitely recommend stopping in and avoiding the line at the drive through. read more

I live within walking distance of this Starbucks, but I rarely go there. I love coffee, and I have great coffee at home. But yesterday, I was in the mood for a muffin, so I went to the drive thru. I was the 4th car in line, and I expected to be kept waiting. But my order was taken immediately, and taken thoroughly, with re-checking for extra details. I asked for a Venti Verona, no room, and I settled for the creamy pumpkin muffin warmed up but not too hot--it was already lunch time, so pastries were almost gone. Within a minute or so, I was 1st in line and, from there, the whole thing was done in about 15 seconds. The muffin was exquisite (10 out of 10), and pumpkin is not usually my favorite. This one had more herb flavor than sweetness. The coffee was PERFECT (10 out of 10), strong but not even a hint of burnt flavor or anything. It tasted like it was just brewed. I have been raving about this Starbucks visit to my whole family! This Starbucks, on the Meriden/Wallingford line, is the BEST! Definitely the best service that I have had anywhere, since before the pandemic, and possibly ever. read more

This Starbucks has the worst service of any in the area. It is jammed packed with staff, but they all seem unhappy-no pleasant chit chat, no acknowledging a regular. The espresso machine is also running too hot by about 5-10 degrees. Poor management I suppose. read more

While this is my go-to Starbucks, I'm giving them three stars because of the frequency with which they make mistakes in the ordering process. Out of the past 5 times I've been there, they've made mistakes where they had to re-make my drink three times. They were happy and quick to remake it for me and fix the charge issue, which is why I will continue to go there. I don't recommend going if you're in a rush as they tend to make mistakes while taking your order. Be sure to be explicit (i.e. If you want a chai latte with 1 shot of espresso, ask for that, not a dirty chai) about your order and don't be afraid to repeat or ask them to say it back to you. They do good at their customer service but sometimes when I go there the consistency of the drinks isn't the same. I always get frapacinos but sometimes there is more ice chunks, not as smooth. I never really go in, but sometimes when I do I feel as if someone is putting their nose up to me for how I look. It seems it has a snooby attitude or the fake customer service voice. where when you leave you feel you'll be getting made fun of being your back. this is anytime I have gone in that I get this feeling or reaction. just from a few people not all the time. I have frequented the Meriden Starbucks many times before during different times of the day and have never experienced anything at all like the previous reviews mention. I have been to many Starbucks locationsand I have found this one to be the absolute best. The "older" lady does not seem old. Her and her staff have been nothing but friendly every time I am there. The staff is always willing to help me sbd are always offering samples for new suggested drinks. I have never had a problem getting soy or any other dairy. It might just be the previous reviewers fault for having such a difficult time at such a wonderful coffee shop. read more

There are a few staff members that I like here, the drive through people that I deal with. Since I am here almost every morning, It's nice that they recognize me (this didn't always happen and I always thought it was weird). There is serious management issue going on and I think the reason for many issues. They are always out of stuff, don't open on time (when I was on maternity leave, I would be up @ 3 counting the minutes until 5:30 only to get there to see it closed, or get more than a few inches of snow and find it closed) I frequently get my order messed up if my regular drive through girls aren't working. The drive through is always backed up and I think it's because of staffing issues or lack thereof. I wish they could get their act together because it's really close to me and I hate DD's. read more

I have not yet had a problem with this location. They have always gotten my order right and the manger who was previously mentioned has never been rude to me or the people I come here with. During the semester a few friends and I find ourselves here at least 3 days a week studying. We have all ordered different things off the menu and never had a problem.
