Met the owner yesterday during Meriden's Yulefest, such a great lady! Went back this morning for breakfast. I got a western omelette, home fries & rye toast. Food was great! Omelette cooked perfectly. Go check it out, support local businesses!

Came here to try a breakfast sandwich and coffee recommended from a friend . They did not disappoint. Very charming inside and plenty of seats. The woman that took my order was very pleasant and good with kids. She helped my six year old decide on his drink( strawberry milk with whip cream on top.) I ordered a maple walnut coffee and it did not disappoint. Nutty and mild roasted ! We also ordered a hot cocoa. Sandwiches were two sausage, egg and cheese and one bacon on hard rolls. It was really good. Very filling !! They have a nice menu I will post a picture. Salads and sandwiches and more . Definitely will be their regular customer. They are right downtown just a block from the train station and across the street from the police station .

Nice chicken panini

Le Jardin Cafe is a Parisian-inspired garden café that opened in Wallingford, Connecticut in…read moreFebruary 2023. It was founded by Fabiola "Fabi" Giguere along with her husband Brad and sons Francisco and Jean Pierre. Fabi and Brad both have over 30 years in the business industry: Fabi worked in the commercial cleaning industry and Brad has 20 years of experience as a trained chef. The couple saw a need for French-inspired café in downtown Wallingford, so they acquired a location on North Main Street that had previously been a branch of Wells Fargo Bank. For the new business venture, the family chose the name "Le Jardin" which is French for "The Garden". Their intention is to provide the public a place meant for lingering: where coffee is savored, meals are unhurried and conversation comes naturally. The menu features egg dishes, omelettes, crepes (both sweet and savory), French toast, waffles, French-inspired dishes, tartines, salads & bowls, and a variety of different coffees, mocktails and specialty dishes. Le Jardin shares a space with ACHIQ Designs: Fabi's sister boutique which sells jewelry, clothing, and gifts. My family and I visited Le Jardin Cafe for brunch. We had heard that they had some new autumn-inspired specials and were interested in stopping by. The interior was cozy, charming, and filled with lush greenery, cascading florals, and climbing vines. After looking over the menu, I ordered the "Apple Pie Tarte Crepes" (filled with chopped warm apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, whipped cream & caramel), my wife ordered the "Bistro Breakfast Bliss" (breakfast potatoes, tomatoes, avocado, greens, tzatziki, one sunny egg), our older son ordered the "Oreo Berries 'n Cream Crepes" (filled with strawberries, Oreos, whipped cream & chocolate syrup), and our younger son ordered a "Chocolate Croissant". Everything was delicious! My crepes were full of warm, gooey apples and autumn spices and my wife loved all of the fresh, flavorful ingredients in her breakfast bowl. Our sons loved their dishes too. To wash everything down, my wife had the "Warm Caramel Apple Cider" (warm apple cider w/ caramel & vanilla extract, ground cinnamon) and I had the "Pumpkin Spice Latte" (double shot of espresso, milk, pumpkin spice, brown sugar, whipped cream & cinnamon). The latter was served iced in a real sugar pumpkin! It was as delicious as it was aesthetically pleasing: the perfect iced coffee for autumn! We had such a wonderful experience at Le Jardin and hope to return in the future!

I normally try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but our experience at The Bees Knees Bistro…read morein Wallingford was honestly very disappointing and upsetting. My family and I arrived while it was raining outside with our young daughters in strollers, expecting to sit down for a meal and get out of the weather. Instead, we were told we could not come in with the strollers and essentially felt unwelcome the moment we walked through the door. As parents of babies who are still too young to sit safely in high chairs on their own, the strollers are not optional for us , they are necessary. We were not being disruptive, rude, or inconsiderate. We were simply trying to have a meal as a family. Rather than attempting to accommodate us or show any understanding, we were left feeling like having children made us an inconvenience. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was pouring outside. Any level of kindness or flexibility would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly shocked by the lack of compassion and customer service. Families with young children already face enough challenges going out in public, and experiences like this make it even harder. We ended up leaving and taking our business somewhere else that was far more welcoming and understanding toward families. It is disappointing because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, but first impressions matter. A restaurant does not need to be "kid-centered" to still treat parents and babies with basic respect and decency. I completely understand that restaurants may have space limitations or policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to handle situations like this. Instead, the experience came across as cold and dismissive. There are many restaurants in the area that are happy to accommodate families, and moving forward those are the businesses I will continue to support. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to families with infants or children who still require strollers or extra accommodations. I wont be going back and giving them .you business, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. Totally rude and discrimination towards those with babies. I did not feel cherished like their website says every guest is. Its sad because this will and im sure does effect their business. I will never give them my business after yesterday. No attempts at accommodating us or evening offering to let us sit outside, lazy staff, but yet there were 3 teenage girls taking names for the wait list. What a joke.

Very busy lot of delicious plates of food being served. I went with a Blueberry Chai, Iced - Chai topped with a blueberry cold foam. To eat I chose the Candied Club it came on toasted sourdough with candied bacon, havarti cheese from Wisconsin, LTO & topped with a garlic tomato spread. It was delicious and stacked it came with a pasta salad- ditalini pasta and chopped veggies. I also grabbed my husband the Chop Shop Burger- house made veggie burger with crispy fried onions, pickled jalapenos, LTO& avocado mango sauce on a grilled brioche roll he said it was really good and filling. All in all an A + experience would definitely recommend.

I started following them on social media, specifically Instagram, when they popped up, promoting some sort of book club activity. It sounded like something I'd be interested in the future, so I made sure to keep tabs on this place. While scrolling I saw they were having a perfume pop-up, and I didn't have any plans that afternoon, so I figured it was a good time to finally check it out. I made sure to skip lunch so that I'd have room for coffee and a pastry while I was there. The space is definitely cozy and it feels like you're hanging out in someone's living room. I ordered just a simple cappuccino and an apple danish which was warmed up for me. The woman at the counter told me I can have a seat, and that she would bring it over to me. I decided on a seat in a separate room, where there were small tables so that I can put my food and drink down, and because I had brought a book. The perfume was set up nearby, and I had a nice conversation with that woman, as well. There was a band setting up, but I did not have a chance to hang around and listen. The danish was very good and so was my coffee. They post on their social media often and it seems they have a lot of cool stuff going on. I hung around for about one hour and it was only later that I saw online that they have things for purchase, so I will definitely have to return and browse. I'm excited that Meriden has this cool spot and I'm really looking forward to visiting more often.

It's a painting, an arts and craft, a bakery, and a coffee shop. Great place for friends to get together and spend quality time, with great refreshment. Opted for the blueberry pancake cold brew, along with a piece of banana bread and an egg sandwich with turkey. Food was delivered outside, and I took my pics. The breakfast sandwich is delightful. Everything is seasoned, punchy, and plentiful. The bread was grilled on a panini griddle, but didn't toast. So there wasn't a lot of contrast in textures. But the egg was fluffy, had a cheese skirt, garlic aoli is strong, and the bread is baked fresh. The cold brew was strong, but the cold foam on top mellowed the coffee out and gave it a nice blueberry and yeasty sip. Very similar to a blueberry pancake which the drink is named for. Good but leaned heavy on the cold foam. Banana bread was a bit gummy. Too much banana and not enough flour nor sugar. Not bad, but the weakest bite of them all. Price was high, at about 24 for the 3 items. The quality is worth the price point, and it's a great but somewhat limited breakfast spot for the area. If you want an avocado toast, breakfast sandwich with actual flavor, and wicked strong coffee, then this place does it well. Baked goods can be a bit random in quality, but the savory fare is great

The owner decorates beautifully and meaningfully for each and every occasion. Whether it's fall, spring, summer, Valentine's Day, Holiday Season, or even once I was there the day of a royal wedding, you can guarantee that every little detail will be attended to. Located in the heart of Port Jefferson, a short walk from the large municipal lot and ferry, this tea shop is where you want to go. They offer full tea service, a royal tea (soup and sparkling cider added), individual ala carte sandwiches, and an array of desserts. I always get the tea service, which comes with a bottomless pot of tea. They have so many teas to choose from, including decaf and herbal versions. During the holidays, they update their tea list to reflect more seasonal teas. Service is always impeccable, the food is always fresh, and there is a consistency to this place that rivals many. I've had tea service at "those" expensive hotels in NYC, and I must say, Secret Garden tops it for me.
