This has got to be the worst location Starbucks has open! Granted it's in Memphis where majority of the population have the lowest IQ levels in the US but this spot is depressing! Ordered a venti Pike, took a solid 15ish minutes before I asked about it, seeing how overwhelmed they all are and seem to be chasing their own tails I was trying to be respectful and not bother them. Being on a time crunch I needed to leave, its when I asked about it is when I saw the light bulbs click. Ordered a hot caramel latte in the drive thru and almost burned my hand because they didn't give me the coffee cup sleeve. Everyone knows coffee is hot and customers should automatically receive a coffee cup sleeve for protection. So I quit going to this Starbucks a long time ago. A couple of times in the past year I have found myself either unable to go to a different one due to time or proximity or whatever- So, visit 1: did a mobile order. Arrived on time. Waited patiently for 15 minutes along with a lot of other people. In the past, paper has run out or technology stuff can happen- so I asked the guy making coffee if he received my order- not in a rude way, just like genuinely making sure he had it as sometimes things happen. He said yes and then the girl behind him who had nothing to do with this started loudly saying to him, but loud enough for us all to hear and look at each other uncomfortably, how customers need to stop asking if we have their order and understand that they are making drinks for Uber and Door Dash and it's not all about us! Ok, cool, and nobody is rushing you, ma'am- but a 20 minute unprecedented wait is an appropriate reason to simply make sure an order has been received. Nobody asked him to hurry up or gave him attitude. All the attitude was from the employees. Which tracks at this Starbucks. Visit 2: this was a couple of days ago- once again, mobile order and arrive and wait for around 15 minutes. My drink came up and they were out of creamer. I took it to the counter to let them know and ask for another one- I was met with "all questions need to go to the counter, we are trying to make drinks!" Ok so I go to the counter and an older lady is up there asking about her drink which I guess she'd been waiting for and I overheard them snap at her, to which she turned around and shared that she's from out of town and never experienced this kind of wait or rudeness at a Starbucks. I informed her that she's at the worst one in town and let her know of two better locations. I waited about 7 minutes after this before anyone acknowledged me and then traded out the empty creamer for another. These were different workers. Are they being trained to be this rude??? Is this a thing? Like how do they keep an ongoing staff of seriously rude people? It's not because they're busy either- that's not an excuse- plenty of people who work at bars and various places are busy and yet still have a decent attitude. I will seriously skip coffee if this is my only option in the future. I don't need any extra anxiety. I'm all full. read more

This location is closest to me and I almost always stop here when I want coffee, but I am so frustrated about my last two visits. On 12/3 I preordered a venti peppermint mocha. When I picked up the cup, I could tell it wasn't full. I was in a hurry, so I just left. When I got to the car, I actually had the equivalent of a grande in a venti cup. Today I preordered the same drink. I was about 8 minutes down the road. When I got there, I still had to wait more than 20 minutes. This time, I got the venti quantity, but it was like they totally skipped the peppermint AND the mocha. At this point I feel like I've thrown $15 away and instead of feeling like I got a treat, I'm totally irritated. So disappointing. read more

This isn't the usual Starbucks that I go to, but I will definitely stop in when I'm on this side of town. My niece's first experience with Starbucks was part of her birthday celebration. We both ordered caramel macchiatos. I requested oat milk but they were out; even though Starbucks says that they have oat milk on their online menus, it's been hit or miss in actually getting it from the stores. This location wasn't busy, so we had plenty of space for her to take it all in and enjoy. They were down to one last French Vanilla scone, so I shared it with my niece. She's lucky I like her because I don't share those with anyone lol Since she's pretty easy to please and didn't have any expectations, it was a good experience and she enjoyed herself...and that's all that really mattered. read more

This has got to be the slowest Starbucks drive thru in Memphis. Literally every single time I stop by (because it's the closest to me), it takes 3x as long as any other location. At this point. I will drive further down the road to avoid sitting in line for 10 minutes. read more

Believe it or not, I actually just buy simple coffee these days. Every time I come to this location, the coffee tastes burned. I thought it was a fluke the first few times. Unless you're getting a special java drink, you might want to avoid this location. read more

Nice cafe to sit in, but the employees are awful. I've been a barista so I know rushes can be stressful, but customers should come first always. None of the 3 employees running the store helped me until I called for someone. These known establishments need to start hiring people who will do their job happily. The young lady with strawberry blondish hair making drinks kept looking at me but didn't seem to want to help me with what I needed, awful service to be honest. I had to wait 10 minutes to get help with something that took 5 seconds. Sincerely hope they can do better for returning customers because I definitely won't be one. read more

Location is great, accessibility is awful. But if you can be patient a parking spot will come up. The friendly staff makes up for any momentary parking delays. David greets everybody like they are life long friends! One day my son had the hardest time deciding which frapp he wanted, the story of his life! The baristas were sooooo accommodating, making suggestions and engaging him. My son was so torn! She went on to say, "hey if you don't like it we will make a new one!" That statement sold him. I've ordered from this location using mobile order a number of times and ever single time I have never gotten my order in the time specified and when I do finally get it...It's always the wrong. If I wanted an ICED Mocha I would have ordered the ICED one not the hot and then I get told that is the Mocha I ordered yet it says no where on the ticket ICED. I seriously don't understand how I can try a location 5 times and it continues to happen. ~20+min to even get the drink and Never done the way I ordered it. I visit Starbucks last night at 9:32 pm. The Caucasian cashier mid-twenties with a 5'oclock shadow beard and headset was rude and callous. First of all, he wasn't friendly and rude. He told me they had no more food and kept my bank card for 12 minutes while my tea was being prepared. Once my tea was ready, he opened the window with my tea in one hand, and my card in his left hand. Didn't say, I apologize for the wait, or nothing. Instead, gave me a stupid thumbs up with no receipt and napkin in which I had to ask for it. After driving off, I had to freeze my card due to how long he kept it. I've never been treated so badly at any Starbucks ever! In addition, I've never known them to run out of food , or at least be courteous for lack of goods. I saw him hand the previous customer food and beverage in the drive-thru . He and the rest of the crew members we're just standing around waiting to close the coffee shop and did not want to prepare any more food because they were closing at 10:00 pm. I arrived at 9:32 pm. and paid for my order at 9:42pm. Never again will support this location! read more

This is your standard Starbucks, but it is surprisingly dirty for a slow afternoon. Paper products (eg, napkins) aren't stocked, and most tables and bar areas aren't clean. It serves the purpose of coffee but is not the best place to sit and chill. read more

Wow, I could've sworn I'd written a review for every Starbucks in town at this point! Anyway, there's some downsides to this location. As everyone has noted, it's sooooooooooo small. There's not even a drive through. Bummer! Plus there's hardly any parking. And given its prime location, it stays busy all day so if you can't get in...go to a different one. However, the location itself, aside from these two downsides is great. The staff? Always incredibly friendly. I've never had a bad experience here. This is probably the only Starbucks in town that has a 100% success rate for me (never messed up a drink order, always has whatever I order, etc.). So that's definitely a huge plus. Perhaps it's the fact that they don't have a drive-through to contend with too (I've worked in food service, I know how stressful it can be negotiating a drive through) but I've never encountered any employees who were grumpy or not super friendly. Even when they're packed, they're still friendly and efficient. read more

The WORST Starbucks I have ever been to! The barista was very rude, but i probably could have looked past that if a single part of our order was correct. The order was 2 children's Hot Chocolates, a Non fat Pumpkin Spice Latte, and a tall non fat Java Chip Frappuccino. What we received was 2 tall regular Hot Chocolates, a tall Pumpkin Spice Latte and a Mocha Frappuccino. I will never return to this Starbucks again, as I only visit Starbucks in the Fall anyway this probably isn't a huge loss but it still left a bad taste in my mouth! read more

this is the best Starbucks around town. It is the only one is Memphis without a drive thru (besides the franchise locations-macys, target, the hilton) which means you always get a more personal experience. With that said...the parking lot is difficult but I know it isn't the employees fault. read more

Good location, despite the small size the tables are arranged to make it look much more spacious. Plenty of tables and chairs with power stations. Baristas are friendly and get the order right (well, a regular large coffee isn't that difficult to prepare). What is bothersome, though, is the baristas inattentiveness to their surrounding. This is the second time the two women behind the counter are completely oblivious to the fact that the patrons are all quietly working on their laptops or reading, and they are just yelling out personal stories and gossip. It seems everyone has given them the stink eye by now but there is just no awareness. I understand you work in a place that is not intended to be completely silent and no one minds a bit of chatter. But 1) your patrons are all working in silence and 2) you are supposed to be working too, not shouting out lifestyle advice to each other. If there're no orders, pick up a sponge and wipe the tables, clean the coffee machine, or sweep the floor, etc. And pick up on your surrounding. Thanks. read more

I usually go to the Saddle Creek Starbucks since they're amazing but since I have started a new job, I have been coming here. They have made my order wrong every time. I had a mobile order this morning in which I bought a tall Iced Cafe Mocha and a bagel. First, I ordered and showed up well after the estimated time that it would be ready and the order wasn't even seen yet. I walked over and stood by the people waiting and the guy says, "You have a mobile order?" And I didn't understand him and he rudely said it again so I said, "yes." They were not busy at all, only 1 person ordering when I showed up and 1 waiting. Secondly, they failed to cut my bagel all the way through let alone in the center. I WISH took a picture to show just how horrendous it was. Like they did it without even But, of course, I thought maybe they were catching up with orders. I get home to figure out they toasted it but NOT for the amount of time it should have been toasted. While I cut the remainder of my bagel, the bread wasn't toasted or warm in the middle. The outside was slightly warm but it hasn't ever been like this. Saddle Creek Starbucks cuts it and the puts both halves in the toaster so it's like a normal toasted bagel. Lastly, I get this bagel every few days if not every other day because it's an easy 'on-the-go' food when I'm running behind or just want a yummy snack/breakfast. I order it on the app every time. (I love mobile ordering because of the speed). So, the bagel order is in my recent orders. Today I get my bagel and they didn't put cream cheese or the plastic knife in there at all. I walk up and say "can I please get 1 plain cream cheese?" And the girl roles her eyes and walks, gets it, hands it to me, and says, "you know next time, you need to click the cream cheese button when you're ordering on the app!" And I politely smile and say okay because maybe I had made a mistake. I get to the car and look at the sticker with my order on it and it does say "1 plain cream cheese" right under the bagel name. I'm done going here. I'll drive the extra distance to get my coffee. For anyone in that general area, the I-240/Poplar location is fantastic too. Go there instead of here. read more

Friendly, efficient, attentive staff. My drinks are always correct whether I order in the store or on my phone. The store is a comfortable place to work when you need to get out of the office, which is a big bonus for me. The parking lot *is* very small, although there is almost always room to pull up at the curb. If you're willing to hoof it you can always park in the lot just across the tracks and walk over. read more
