OK, so this visit was all about trying to get some Christmas cookies or Christmas decorative cookies so they were out of snowman cookies they were out of like the frosty the snowman cookies but they did have the penguin the penguin decorative cookies and they did have some cake pops. I seem to swing by this particular SB location once in a great while, mainly because they're open later into the evening than any of the other SB-s in the area. But, be prepared for slow service, wrongly prepared orders, poor customer service, and general incompetence. During my particular visit, I was one of two customers, and I had preordered twenty minutes prior via the SB app. My order wasn't ready upon my arrival, and when I finally received my order, the worker failed to follow standard health/sanitation practices. Best part of this Starbucks is their hours. I have been here over 20 times early in the morning. I keep trying to give them chances but WOW! It's painful how slow they are and they frequently get my drink wrong. I finally decided to write a review hoping a store employee or manager will hear my cry. PLEASE look at your drive though wait times in the morning. Even when I went inside and just ordered hot tea (bags), it still took over 10 min and nobody was in front of me, two people came and went through drive though, and no mobile orders were done during this time. Most people at this location are awesome but two of your morning employees probably need retraining or a new job. It's always the same two who are slow and mess up the orders. What is the deal with this location? I've visited twice on my own and once while with someone else and the visits got progressively worse. Visit 1: - Sat in the drive-thru for 20 minutes with only two cars ahead of me - Order took an additional 5 minutes to receive once at the window Visit 2: - Lost track of how long I was in the drive-thru because I was on a call... it was a while and I was stuck due to the line design - Person taking our order repeated the wrong order to us twice and we still received the wrong order after correcting her Visit 3: - No line, but still a serious wait at the window - Order was incorrect and they forgot to give me the pastry I ordered A few other reviews point out that the service inside is much better, so I'll pop inside if I ever stop at this location again. read more

Most Starbucks tend to be pretty decent so I do feel a bit silly leaving another review. That being said, service at the drive through is very hit or miss, which surprises me since this has to be such a busy location. If you can, go inside because it's slightly better. Inside there's loads of seating to where I've never had problems finding a seat, and there's tables outside. Service inside isn't bad, though usually the people could be nicer. If you want a Starbucks with exceptional employees in this area, I suggest the one at Poplar and White Station. All in all I'd give the drive through two stars and lobby four, so I'm splitting the difference. read more

I wouldn't be writing this review if it was only about their mediocre food/drinks. But while we are on that subject their drinks never taste as good as other locations (they don't even know how to make some drinks) but they haphazardly throw their food in the bags while it's still hot, causing the sandwich's to fall apart and slide around. On top of all of these issues every person that works here is beyond rude. Not acknowledging us on multiple occasions and even ignoring us at some points. They could take a few tips from the saddle creek Starbucks or the one in Lakeland. Just very disappointed in this location but not surprised to due prior bad experiences here. read more

I have seen the reviews and it surprises me. Now I just started coming to this location because it's on my way to work now. My first impression was good. Not great. The staff is usually friendly. Not enthusiastically so depending on the barista but they are never rude. Indifferent at worst I almost always order a chai tea, and they always do a really good job. A lot of places put in too much milk or try to add coffee. Seriously drives me crazy. But this location doesn't! Always the perfect amount of tea to milk ratio and when I ask for no water they don't compensate by adding more milk. My only tip for the management would be to please have your staff ask if we want our muffins heated up. They do it every time and I'm honestly too nice to send it back. read more

I see a lot of negative reviews about the service here. This is my first time at this location, so maybe I just got lucky and came on a good day...or maybe it's cause I really just don't get bothered easily...ha. It's busy, like most locations in the morning. One girl behind the counter started taking people's food order while we wait in line so it'll be ready when we get to the front. By the time I picked a spot to sit, I noticed my drink was already about to be ready. That was pretty fast service compared to my previous experiences at other locations. Looking around, everyone seems pretty content though. No servers arguing or being rude like the other reviews mentioned. Terrible experience. I was on my way to the airport and stopped by to get a pastry on my way. I looked at the line and the was only one person, so I was like ok, shouldnt take too long. It took forever for the guy in front of me to place his order. The cashier was chit chatting with him and asking about his day and how often he goes to that place. There were 5-6 other staff working and then the line built up behind me. Finallyyyy, it was my turn, so I asked for a 'morning bun' and told her can I get it quickly because I'm on my way to the airport. She was like yes maaaa'aaam no worries. I expected her to go and grab the pastry and hand it to me, but she continued taking orders from others while the other staff were doing other things. I went to the back of the line waiting.. Waiting, and finally, I got someone's attention and said, sorry, can I get my bun and go? He was like it's coming. Now, a lady showed up and said she got the wrong pastry. They changed it for her and told me sorry, it was hers, and we sold you the bun we dont have. At this point I was like 'whatever...' Give me something to go Im in rush. And they were like what do uuu want. I said anything, a croissant! Then the staff disappeared and no one gave a shit about the situation. I think the best thing to do at that point given my hurry was to just forget about it and go, but I kept asking and the they seemed to be soo indifferent. Bottomline, turned out they wanted to warm it up! While I was saying over and over Im in rush. I just grabbed the pastry, and ran. I was sooo agitated and annoyed by the poor way they handle things and zero respect they have for people's time. This Starbucks is a hit or miss - I've come here a few times when the service is good and the place is clean...then there's days when the service is horrible and the place is a complete mess. I went there today and there were 3 people working - they were super nice but the whole store was a terrible mess - chairs were everywhere, they had a bunch of tables that weren't cleaned off, and worst of all, the trash was so full that customers had to resort to just leaving their trash on the counter (see the picture). I'm usually a fan of Starbucks but I was a little turned off with the mess at this one...no telling how dirty the kitchen is if they're leaving the dining area so dirty and messy. read more

So my wife and I went through drive through about 6:15pm This past Friday night where I ordered her her fav drink; 6 shot grande caramel macchiato in a venti cup(so not to waste the expresso shots), add coconut milk with extra caramel drizzle on top! Before I got half of my order out of my mouth, the girl taking my order decided she would finish what she thought I was gonna order. After I told her she was wrong, she conceded to let me finish my order! My wife asked if I wanted something and said no that it was too late in the evening for that much caffeine for me. As I started to move up to the window, my wife then suggested the S'mores Frappe and I said ok that we'd just order it at the window! Once at the window my wife asked if we could add on a Grande S'mores Frap. What happened next took both us completely off guard. The girl said that she would have to ASK HER SUPERVISOR if that would be ok and her SUPERVISOR said NO, that would not be ok and if we wanted to order another drink, we would have to go back through the drive through! So while my wife and I were discussing this, the girl handed our original drink we ordered to us. It was in a Grande cup and not a venti cup! My wife asked her why it wasn't in a venti cup and was told that we never said to put it in a venti cup that if we wanted that, that we'd have to pull around and re-order the drink and while we were doing that, that we could also order the S'mores Frap that the SUPERVISOR said they would not make cause we didn't order that originally! Well I can assure you that my wife wasn't going anywhere until she got at least her drink that she ordered done right! We were then told that our order was taking too long! My wife looked at me and said, "No she didn't"!! I said, "Yes she did"!! Her drink was fine but wanted to know who trained this girl? Not the sharpest girl and quite frankly, was a couple fries short of a happy meal! We've gone to this location regularly for 12yrs maybe and can't ever think of one time when we were told we couldn't order a drink at the window but would have to instead go back through the drive through!! 12yrs is a good run at this location with never even a hiccup until this past Fri night. read more

Wish this app had an option for negative star score! This was the worst experience I've ever had at any retail place ever! When my parents and I walked into the store there were between 5-10 people in the place. One guy was at the drive thru window and he seemed to be doing fine, but the other two people were horrible. We weren't greeted when we came in, the guy at the cash register was talk no to a customer and finished and walked away. He finally came to the register and took my order. By then a line was forming behind me. I ordered 2 hot coffee drinks and went to wait for my order. I watched them make and serve the two people that were in line behind me as well as people at the drive they. I was getting a coffee for my daughter that was in the hospital fighting cancer. Which shouldn't matter one way or the other. But I did ask for my drinks because I needed to get back to her. He pointed to my drinks while looking at me like I'm crazy and said they were being worked on. The other girl walked over and picked up one of my cups then glared at me and put it down and walked away. I told the guy I wanted my money back because they were being so rude. He said they were working on it but had to serve the drive thru and inside. I told him that the 2 customers behind me already got their drinks and he walked away. My receipt actually says 5679 Poplar Ave. but it is the location on Poplar at I-240. I was treated worse than I have ever been treated before. I was getting more than 12 drinks for my office and pulled into the drive thru. I understood when they asked me to come in even though there was nobody behind me in line. I drove around to find a parking spot far away. When I came inside I told the man at the register that I was disappointed that I had to come inside because at Dunkin Donuts would at least let me pull up and bring it out to me since I was picking them up alone for my office. He was nice and apologized and took my order from my list and repeated it to me. But the lady that made my drinks was the lady from the drive thru. When my order was complete she called my name and had my drinks up high. She is tall and I am short. None were in drink carriers. Two drink carriers were on the other side of the counter. I asked her if these were my drinks and she said "Yea". I proceeded to reach up and put my own drinks into the to go containers and asked for another container which she never got. By the time I finished I asked for another container again which she slid at me. I then picked up two containers and spilled tea as the employees watched because there were no customers in the store to be waited on and put them outside on the tables on the patio before going back inside to get the third to go container and sat it on the table. I then walked down the stairs to get my car across the parking lot to pull it up to load the drinks into my car. Oh I forgot to mention that I am recovering from double knee replacements.
