SO WE WAITED FOR THE…read morePOLICE TO COME....PLEASE READ WHAT LED UP TO THIS.....THIS PLACE HAS CHANGED....I suggested the place because I have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and customer service. I was so disappointed when my acai bowl came out watery, with a chuck of what appeared to be a round piece of frozen blueberry puree on top, and mostly granolas.... My protein pancakes came out warm in the center cold around the outside and stuck together...Not good at all. So disappointing. But since I suggested it to my friend, I was going to press through and endure it. However, my friend ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuit and breakfast potatoes.
Sadly to say, the biscuit came out cold, heavy, with the bottom discolored and soaked in grease, totally inedible. The eggs were luke-warm at best. The bacon was cold, and look like it had been sitting up for a while, you can see that the grease had settled into the meat. When the server returned, I shared with her that my friend's biscuit and bacon was cold. She said let her ask the kitchen and see what they can do.
We waited, and waited, she never came back. I went in and asked for assistants and was told our waiter had other customers that came in that she had seat. So, I express to this young lady, (whom name I will not mention, because she may have just been having a bad day this Friday.....
She said, it could not be cold and could not see how it came out cold because she (our waiter) brought it out as soon as the kitchen placed it in the window. We asked her to look at the biscuit and the bacon, we even asked her to just feel it, she said she did not want to touch our food. We told her this is not our food, we cannot eat this like this...so you can touch it to confirm the temperature. She said, look its Friday...I can get another biscuit and bacon from the kitchen. I asked for fresh biscuit and bacon. She said there is a difference between fresh and hot, she can get us a hot biscuit and bacon, but they opened at 6:30am. I said ma'am, what does that have to do with receiving fresh and hot food, I understand what time the restaurant opens, but its only 8:23am now. She said let her go and get another biscuit and bacon from the kitchen.
We waited, and we waited for at least another 12 to 15 minutes. I walked over to ask another server for the young lady that was assisting us, then I saw her walking towards the patio where we were seated with a plate, I walked over to meet her to see that it was another saggy biscuit and two pieces of bacon as if it was thrown into hot grease and fried. I said, ma'am I am so sorry, but we cannot eat this food. Please just take it all back. She said she can not. This is the food we ordered, she can box it up and we can take it with us, but we will have to pay for it. I said, no ma'am we are not paying for food that will only go into the garbage. She told us, that if we did not pay for it she would have to call the police, and get the proper authorities here to let them handle it. We said okay, call them, we will sit right here until they come. And we sat and we waited....
She came back out and said, I have your receipt. I said ma'am respectfully, we can not eat this and we cannot pay for this. She said since yawl not going to pay, I need to take your name and number. So I gave her my real name and my real number, and expressed that I look forward to the call and I hope she have a good Friday and a great weekend. We left... and have committed to not come back to this restaurant. So sad, and I hope it turns things around because it is not going in a positive direction...So sad....
