It was my birthday and my Starbies app wasn't working so I didn't get my free beverage reward. They still made it for me though (it was legit my birthday), and it was delicious! Staff were suuuuper friendly, baristas were nice and chatty, and this Starbucks is in a great area - lots of food options near by if you need more than just a coffee and pastry. read more

Starbucks - LARGE Iced Brown Sugar Espresso with Sweet Cream Cold Foam - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Medford, Massachusetts

What really stands out about this Starbucks are the staff. They are exceptionally kind and friendly. The last three times I've been I've interacted with a different barista each time and all three times I left feeling like I'd been treated special in some way. Great vibes. read more

Fast and reliable, it's amazing shopping since it's next to wholefoods! Easy experience.

I had an amazing service! And an amazing drink. I just tried the new limited time macha I don't know the specific name sorry. But it was de.lish.ious.it is green with purple foam. Thecoam is sweet and the drink is bitter! Perfect combo! Usually, when I go to a Starbucks, I have to wait at least 10 minutes for my drink, by today I only had to wait 2 minutes! It was awesome. I will definitely recommend! read more

This place is great! They have some seating too. We come almost everyday and %95 of the time they get are order right.

I have a terrible time getting consistent drinks. Double check how many shots of espresso you are getting in your drinks-- so many times they are putting only 2 shots in the venti Americanos, which makes them very weak. No problems noted with mochas or other drinks, but then again I only order them in the smaller sizes. I do hate it when I get home and found I had forgotten to double check them. This is very unusual for any Starbucks-- I traveled extensively and only had this problem here. read more

This Starbucks location is attached to a Whole Foods so it felt like there was a lot of traffic to and from it. There isn't a ton of seating but also most people seemed to get their orders to go so it didn't seem to matter. There is plenty of parking which is nice. Besides these factors, it's a Starbucks. For whatever reason, it wouldn't' show up on my mobile app. Not really sure what was up with that but I'm figuring it was a glitch of some sort. read more

Starbucks - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Medford, Massachusetts

Paid for a full Pumpkin Spice Latte and by the time I realized they had served me barely half a cup without whipped cream I was already out. Ridiculous. read more

Starbucks - Awful, I was served a half empty Pumpkin Spice Latte. No whip cream - how is this acceptable? - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Medford, Massachusetts

It is a Starbucks. Of course it is hard to love a Starbucks. But at least it isn't far from home. And sometimes they have chairs outside. I am so ready for spring and summer. My white mocha was very good (but no comparison to LA Burdick's). And I echo the compliments for the friendly baristas. read more

I'm back. With yet another Starbucks review. After being disappointed with the Winchester Starbucks, I must say...Medford is not any better. My order was a trenta, iced, twelve-shot, triple-caf, five-pump hazelnut, six-pump caramel, seven-pump vanilla, almond-coconut-soy milk blend, with a pinch of turmeric, a twist of orange zest, and precisely seven ice cubes. The worker told me it was too complicated and I needed to pick something else. NO! She does not get to decide MY drink I DO. When I finally got her to make it there was 10 ice cubes!!! She was ripping me off and she outright refused to make me a correct one because "she used up to much inventory already" Well maybe you used up your inventory because you got me MORE ICE CUBES THAN I ASKED FOR. So I instead ordered a venti, iced, quad-shot, half-caf, almond-coconut milk, caramel, mocha, toffee nut, cinnamon dolce, and a hint of hazelnut syrup latte and she outright refused to pay for it. Starbucks I know your policies. I read the fine print. I'm a lawyer, I went to law school and I know if I wanted to I could take you to court for this. I want an apology and If I don't get one I might take this up with my lawyer (me). Starbucks, do better and stop disappointing everyone who steps in your store. read more

I came in at the end of the night and everyone was so patient with me. Amazing customer service!

Sadly, customer service is bad at this store. I paid for items and when I asked about it, they simply said they didn't hear me when my order was taken. I didn't receive my item nor a refund. Never coming back read more

$6 iced coffee and the staff is too lazy to mix it. It's not a macchiato, it's a iced coffee. No one, not a single person wants to drink straight cream followed by black coffee. read more

Man I really hate to to hate on Starbucks! I don't go to a Starbucks everyday but when I do I expect great customer service! As I feel like I'm paying a premium for their coffee. Normally when I'm VT I just go to a gas station and get Green Mountain Coffee! After this trip this weekend I now understand why I do. It cost less over all and the gas stations back home have a lot better customer service than this place... So we walk in on a Sunday morning pretty early. Before the crazy rush of all the late morning people! And all I have to say is that I was WOWed by their customer service in a bad way to be honest. For one I asked what flavor coffees they offer and I get "Well we have the Blondie, regular and dark.". Then I ask "What flavors are they? Do you have flavor shots?" and the reply with a "Do you want a lighter or darker coffee?" At this point I just gave up. We also ordered 2 scones and they didn't even offer to heat them up. They just pushed us out the door. So get this...I left with 2 cold scones and 2 ICE WATERS from STARBUCKS. Doesn't that seem sorta dumb to you? I know many people don't like coffee but to leave with ice water when you clearly wanted one would spark an issue in my mind. So needless to say we will not be returning to this location again. They leave a lot to be desired for a Starbucks shop. They need a much better team of people and maybe train them in the customer service basics. Hell I would ever supply them with the drawing board! read more

This is literally pure insanity from the moment you walk in the door. I waited 25 minutes today for a pink drink without even an apology. They need to hire more employees and create a bigger space because every single time I go in there I wait over 15 mins for one over priced beverage. It's insanity. I buy a drink here every. Single. Day and at least 4 out of 7 days is over a twenty minute wait and never once do they acknowledge or apologize for said wait. read more

I don't even know what to say. The fact that this store exists actually makes me feel embarrassed for Starbucks. It took 15 mins to make me the WRONG drink and another 10 to fix it (after serving other customers). The customer service was horrible and not worth $4 for an iced tea. read more

Has gone downhill. These knuckleheads renovated and replaced a local artists' display area with pictures of other Starbucks. Were there too many local art spaces in West Medford to compete with? (No.) They stopped giving out coffee grounds to customers for use as garden compost/mulch. No one seems to know why. They also replaced the merchandise shelving on the wall with one in the middle of the floor in an already tiny space, making it even harder to get through, and very difficult to see what's in the display case if there's any line. This freed up wall space for -- you guessed it -- an enormous picture of coffee. In a world full of reasons to patronize the many local coffee shops over Starbucks, why oh why does Starbucks seem so intent on adding to the list? read more

I've been a regular here for years but have never reviewed before and that bothered me today as I spoke with the manager, Mike. No matter how busy he is, he always makes a point to say hello and converse with his customers. I can truthfully say the same about everyone that works here, they're all genuinely nice people and they truly hustle to get your order completed quickly, much more so than I've experienced at other locations. Great, friendly atmosphere amongst the staff that can only start from the top down. read more

You wouldn't think there would be enough variation between Starbucks locations (all of which carry the same products and menu offerings) to warrant a review. But there is. With my comprehensive sampling methods, I have found that Starbucks at its best is some of the best coffee you can find, in beautiful and comfortable settings; why penalize them for being a big corporation when they are so good at what they do? But at its worst, Starbucks leaves me yearning for a mom-and-pop shop where the owner takes personal responsibility for all details. This location (as I like to think of it, the Whole Foods Starbucks--it is next door) is somewhere in between. The staff are nice and smart. (Sorry to discriminate; I know these jobs don't pay well and it can be hard to understand that I want to reload my Starbucks card AND THEN pay with the card, not reload the card and then pay extra on top of the reload amount in cash... OK, is it REALLY that hard to understand?) The staff at the Whole Foods Starbucks get it right. However, I find that the coffee is just not as good. Over the years I've realized that the majority of places that serve espresso in the US are serving burned espresso, and/or need to clean their machines more often. It's not supposed to taste like an ashtray. Think smooth and mellow, with subtle (not aggressive and sharp) bitterness. So, this Starbucks is not alone... but the espresso in my latte is always a bit burned. And the milk is not as frothy. Don't know if they steam it longer at other locations or what. Tip: if you get there early in the morning (prime Starbucks time) and the seating is full, you can go next door to Whole Foods and use their tables. And vice versa, later in the day on weekends when the Whole Foods seating area is full, grab your lunch at the deli and then go next door to Starbucks, grab a seat and a beverage to go with your lunch. read more

Ridiculous. Standing here been waiting for 2 nitro cold brews for 25 minutes. NO exaggerating. Go to a different Starbucks. They are lost as can be here. read more

Pretty average Starbucks. It is located right in the Whole Foods on Rt 16. The reason I flag it as "average" is that it is... neither impressive nor room for much to improve. They are efficient, as they are fairly high volume with all the Whole Foods shoppers grabbing a coffee to sip whilst browsing organic kale and quinoa. (myself included). But it also is a regular stop for the folks commuting during the morning rush via Rt 16. My only "complaint" is that the line area is really crowded. They are working with limited space, but it just seems congested, and their fridge section is tiny. (literally only 3 bottles of water? What?). They have a small seating area, but this isn't a starbucks you camp at for more than a couple of minutes. High volume. High turnover. High traffic. I stop here regularly when going to Whole Foods, but it is not my "regular" Sbux. read more

I pass three other Starbucks getting to this one from my house and the reason is the staff. Starting with Mike, the manager, i get a heartfelt greeting every time i come in (almost daily)and many times i get one of his sayings, "Happy (insert whatever the day is). Always makes me smile. Expectations from a Starbucks: Quick service Good, dependable coffee Ample seating Casual coffeeshop atmosphere Wow, was this one busy! Horrified with the customer service of this place. Ordered my non fat latte with sugar free syrup and it came out wrong, while I was waiting for the barista to make a new one a customer asked him what was the syrup he was using, he replied " yeah different flavors, cancer, cancer and cancer, 10 years later people will come back with lawsuits". He probably didn't like the fact he had to remake my drink but there's no need to say such I thing. I'm never coming back to this store again. I came in on 9/1/15 at 5:55 pm. There was just a girl and a guy working at the time. Hope management can figure out who he is and show this review to him. Very very rude! read more

Read the bad reviews carefully. These people have strange expectations of coffee shops. At best they just don't really get the Starbucks "system." I'm sad to see such poor reviews. The morning staff here is nice, knowledgeable, efficient - and easy on the eyes to boot! Moreover, they are very generous with free drink coupons if you would only SPEAK UP about your perceived slight instead of going straight to Yelp to whine about it. Grow up, really. read more

The staff is friendly enough, but I just can't get over the fact that they can't make a simple chai tea latte. We ordered 2 chai tea lattes, came home, took a sip and drive right back to the Starbucks to get them redone. Upon getting the drinks remade, we realized the barista just didn't know how to properly make the drink. It was watered down and tasted as though there was literally 1 pump of chai (even though we saw her put in 3 pumps). So disappointed. read more

I was in here a few days in a row, working on my laptop. I enjoyed it and found it to be a fine place to work and focus in and would also have been a fine place to chill and read the paper and relax if that's what I was doing. Didn't notice any cleanliness problems or dirt or anything. The counter people were nice and friendly and even adhered to a cool policy- when I ordered a decaf misto and they happened not to have any decaf at the moment, they made some very fast and gave me a freebie for that drink. I also like the cozy area on the side with seating and some local "color" in terms of nice pictures and things on the wall. read more

It can get very busy there, and the food is absolutely horrible, what happened to the bagels lately?! in the past week i had an everything bagel at Starbucks and it was the most tasteless thing to grace my taste-buds, very plain, blend, plastic like, chewing on the bag it came in would have probably had more flavor. read more

My favorite Location Between Arlington Medford West Somerville and North Cambridge. I'm also a huge fan a Davis Square Elm Street Starbucks, but this is closer for me for Medford area. It's nice to get a place where people drop in off their commute or picking up some groceries. Perhaps it's on the small side, but there's 6 bar stools 4 small tables and a 4 armchair quad. It's warm and cosy in the Winter months, and I enjoy the peppermint mocha, and skinny lattes. It's nice to find a Starbucks that's not surrounded by so many other things and places. This is a nice mix between quiet and busy and convenient. The Arlington Center store stays until 10 this until 9, but I'd rather walk down here at 6 o'clock after a busy day and it's a nice quiet and relaxing place. Kind and attentive servers and cashiers. They usually have 3 people on duty making for faster service than just 2. This is my new favorite place : ) read more

This has been the best Starbucks around for some time now. The space is somewhat limited, but the coffee and the service are the best. This is because Mike the manager and the Baristas who work there are exceedingly friendly, and make the best coffee around. The few times I have been here I have realized that the cafe is really dirty and there are always more than two people behind the counter. What does it take to get somebody to take a spin once in a while? Though I rarely have my coffee "for here" I wouldn't dream of it at this store - there are like 6 seats and all of which were dirty today, all the tables had crumbs and coffee rings on them. The staff was nice but a little bit, vacant?, maybe. The line here at 11:30 am moved really slow despite four people being on shift.

as a former employee of starbucks for 3 years i have slightly higher standards that the regular customer. with that said i can't say there is anything wrong with this starbucks. it's not the cleanest in the world but it has pretty high traffic. the layout (imo) sucks, but it doesn't help that it's connected to a whole foods which causes traffic problems (constant reminder for people to line up along the pastry case is required). to echo ken m's post. something about this starbucks is off... not terrible off, just slightly off. for the amount of staff working the service should be faster. i really shouldn't have to wait 4-5 minutes for a double over ice. it's easy, pick up cup, put ice in cup and hit the two shot button. the shot takes about 12 seconds to pull... despite this shortfall, the staff is polite so i don't mind making this my primary starbucks. read more
