It was another hot day in LA and tho was the closest Starbucks to us. I of course came here for the strawberry lemonade and the cashier was nice and had a great friendly attitude. This Starbucks is nearby my work place when heading over. Thus if I'm craving something of course will head on in to get the usual or a warm drink. Surprisingly my first time getting Hot Chocolate, with a chocolate brownie. And it's actually pretty good. Ordered in the app, which was quick and easy. Not sure why lately Starbucks is out of blueberry scones at all their locations Being my favorite pastry to get with my nonfat latte I don't usually come to this Ralph's on Wilshire, but I had a prescription to pick up so decided to get some coffee and a pastry I asked if they had blueberry scones and the employee checked and said they are out but they have vanilla scones I said I've never had a vanilla scone, but I will try it She brought it to me and to my surprise. It was 1/6 the the size of the blueberry scones I've known for the last 15+ years. So I asked, is this vanilla scone or something else? And the same employee replied yes, that is a scone and walked away A customer next to me said "yeah those are super small the first time I saw them I was as shook as you are now " And I said " yeah she told me she didn't have scones, but did not bother to mention that they are not the same pastry and the flavor is not the only difference Then she brings my grande nonfat latte AND it's piping hot -- and does not include a sleeve, so I had to ask for one. I cannot remember the last time I had to leave for a hot drink. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to the Starbucks at this Ralph's store. read more

This particular location is my lifeline, as it is the closest Starbucks to my work place. There has NEVER been a visit where my order isn't ready by the time I pick up my mobile order at their proposed ready time and I am ALWAYS greeted with a smile by their friendly and welcoming staff. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors (lots of trees to naturally shade you) if you choose to spend some extra time here enjoying your drink or working between meetings. A great location and nice interior. Love the dark wood trims and the spacious waiting area. The day I came in it was a long wait due to online orders. I think I'll do that next time. I ended up waiting 20 mins! Apparently my name was called but I didn't hear it. The person calling out names was either so soft or didn't call my name. I was listening attentively as I was so craving my iced coffee. When I saw a couple who was behind me get there orders I assumed I missed it sure enough my drink was on the side with water droplets on the outside. It was obviously sitting there a while. I have not visited this location since the pandemic until recently, when I accidently chose this location instead of another one. One thing the pandemic has taught me is being reminded on things we took advantage when things were open. I would frequent this location whenever I am at the museums across the street. This location has lots of room and ample sunlight. The terrace outdoors is also a great place to sit and chat with friends. The location has just enough people traffic to feel that city energy but it is not so much that it is annoying. Now, with eating areas both outside and inside are currently closed, dropping by for a pickup is convenient only if you find parking in the front. There is paid parking in the back and you have a certain amount of time to park for free. Staff is friendly and efficient and they communicate great with the patrons as well as each other. read more

Nice location with a big outdoor area with plenty of tables. Really nice to sit outdoors and relax. The store inside has also quite a few tables and the staff is for the most part pleasant. Parking is validated in the structure for the building. Drinks and food items are great as will all locations. My go to is the spinach wrap. read more

I stop by this Starbucks location for my morning coffee fix. The line can get long at times, but it runs along pretty fast. My personal favorite is the turkey bacon and egg sandwich, coupled with an iced latte. This usually holds me over well into lunchtime. The staff here was friendly and good at getting my order to me on time. The patrons are mostly those who work in the adjacent building. You will get a mix of yuppies, hipsters, from a variety of occupations: acting, business, medical clinics, etc. Nothing much else to add, other than it was an ok experience whilst feeding my caffeine addiction. read more

This location is a walk in and sit location - no drive thru. It is well staffed with half a dozen people working behind the counter. The lines can be long but no always. *Sigh* How do you rate a SBX? I mean ... it's SBX. The drinks are mostly garbage, the food is largely low-quality, the service is hit or miss. I have gone to this one a few times because I have one of those bosses who means well, but wanted to get the quickest gift he could think of instead of getting me something I might like. Bless his heart. So, I went in a few times to get dinner before my 2nd job, fruit & cheese, that sort of thing. By 5:00 p.m., they have precious little left of anything except the beverages, so I had to start going in much earlier to get food for later. The brie is usually rubbery, the grapes can be a tad moldy, although you can taste it but not see it. (And, yes, I know the difference between the taste of bleu cheese & the taste of moldy fruit.) The staff can be slow or quick, depends. They can be helpful or dense, depends. Can be personable or wooden, depends. It's SBX. Thank goodness the gift card is almost empty. read more

Outstanding venue. The Clover Press is the new thing -- as floating around town the whole concept of handpoured coffee. It's best to get a grande, to stay, and enjoy it in a big ceramic mug. It's a comfy Starbucks, but also great for keeping your business head on. Sturdy and cozy seats without the worry of a nap. And for me, the sound bounces nicely away so that the store remains sonically unobtrusive. Laugh if you will, but that bothers me at more places (including plenty of coffee places) than you'd imagine. The barristas here have been pulled from other stores in the city. They are rock stars. And when it comes to talking seriously about the coffee offerings of the aforementioned Clover Press, look for Matt. He knows it well. read more

Out of all the Starbucks on Wilshire, this one is my favorite. The employees are always kind, there is never a long line in the morning. If I order ahead, my drink is always ready on time. This location is the cleanest Starbucks I have experienced. There's sitting outside inside and along the back. Lots of outlets. The bathrooms are shared by multiple restaurants so maybe the building keeps this bathroom so clean. OMG! 2 stalls ladies and parents with small kids. I was also impressed with the selection of food choices. I had a lemtil, broccoli, beet, squash green salad. Right next to LACMA this is a hot spot for tourist too. read more

My Starbucks chronicles continue to be entertaining. This time I was Mindy on my cup. This is a a spacious place with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Most people who were here were working on laptops. The staff is friendly. Lines can get long depending on what time you come. I ordered the new Horchata flavor frapp. It's not worth it. Didn't taste like horchata at all. Definitely will go back to my usual peppermint mocha. read more

Note: I give the Staff here bonus points for professionalism because the location is very busy with quite a few rude, obnoxious customers. Customer service sucks (my personal experience). I waited on the wrong side of the counter because I don't go to Starbucks and this location doesn't have a clear way to know where a line starts (depending on which door you enter from I guess). Every time I tried to step up to the counter someone rushed to the register to order. The person at the counter ignored it and took his sweet time taking three peoples order before even asking me what I needed . I wasn't even trying to order , I had a simple yes/no question (do you validate parking?). The girl behind the counter saw me but continued to make drinks and kept her back turned as I kept saying excuse me to get her attention . She was clearly ignoring me. I stood behind another person finally , and after the cashier took his sweet time to help them instead of saying "mam the line is over here," I walk up to the counter on my turn . Coffee is great. It's Starbucks! But this store is always dirty. The tables, floor, and the napkin area. Never any milk or half and half. And nobody ever has the curtesy to get it refilled when it is out. I always find myself taking it up to get refilled. Used to get in line to order, but have begun to mobile order. The faster I get my drink and navigate the milk conundrum, the sooner I get out. The staff is always friendly and I think prides itself of cranking out great tasting drinks. My Americano always tastes amazing from this place. This place has so much traffic and people just zombie in here for their fix that they don't notice how dirty this place is. Or maybe they don't care. By the way I got to say in my opinion this Starbucks does not have any friendly people at all. Just a bunch of robots getting coffee and leaving. People looked like they were in high spirits and the baristas were fast so the line moved along, although one girl was kind of testy when we asked for the code to the restroom. Located across the street from the La Brea Tar Pits, walking distance to LACMA. Its adjacent to a Baja Fresh and a Marie Callendar's restaurant, and they also validate parking for 45-minutes, so bring your ticket to get validated. I came here on a Saturday at 3:30 pm, and the place was packed. Tables were dirty and unkept customers left their used napkins and trash on the counter and tables.. disgusting how Starbucks customers can't bus after themselves. This place also has a recharging station but the recharging rings were all missing. Probably stolen by customers. You can buy the rings at the cashier, but why bother? I wasn't in the mood to stand in the long line, so I whipped out my Starbucks App and ordered my drinks via mobile order. I stepped out of line and in 2 minutes my drink was at the pick up area. The cashier has to validate your parking, so I had to step back in line to show my drink and get my ticket validated. Also get the code for the bathroom, as there's a key code pad. 3 -1/2 stars because I used the Mobile App. read more

This is my Starbucks go-to store because it's the closest. It's a pretty good one but what makes it even better right now is an employee named COBY (if he's not already, make him a Manager!) I was blown away by his customer service yesterday. This guy's going places! (Just don't go anywhere else SOON! ;)) I ordered my Pikes drip. Coby actually checked the pot, apparently it needed a new brew and he did that so it was fresh. Then he made sure there was enough room at the top of the cup for my oat milk request and ASKED me if it was good for me. Seriously "on it" and extremely pleasant as well! Excellent customer service! I was feeling a little hungover, I lied a lot hungover, and not only did I have a fantastic latte prepared just the way I need it, your also made my day by writing on my cup 'ice ice...baby' I didnt notice the writing when you handed me the cup but noticed soon after and had a good laugh.
