Beware of the crazy man.
Went to this Starbucks since I had to wait a long while for my Boyfriend's plane to arrive. Everything was fine at first, got my order it was fine, people were nice, nothing out of the ordinary. However, at around 23:00 this weird creepy dude came into the Starbucks and sat down, without ordering anything. I tried to not think much of it, but about half an hour later he began stacking chairs and passing around the Starbucks. Eventually he started telling customers to leave and that the store was closed. When he came to me I asked if he worked there and told him that I would not be moved unless it was by an employee (I still had a long wait and there was no other available seating at the airport). When I asked he became increasingly more aggressive, until he started to spit on me as he yelled and telling me I was a crazy person (I swear I kept my composure and only spoke to him in a levelled and clear tone). In anger and fear that he could potentially harm me (he was clearly not in his right mind) I went up to the Baristas and told them about him. To my horror and surprise, their answer was "That's just Ben, he does it all the time". I was horrified and visibly shaking in anger. They virtually admitted they allow a homeless and arguably crazy man to bother their customers so they leave before closing time and say they do it in good conscience because "he wants to help". I understand they have to close their store and technically by the time he came around telling us to leave they were closing, but this is a job for a Barista or at least someone who works there, not the random homeless man. Never stepping foot in there again, especially not late at night, no one needs the added stress of being yelled at by a crazy person once they just arrived to their destination or started their holidays. read more
