We haven't been to Starbucks for awhile and decided to have a treat today. Both items we ordered, Nitro Brew and an iced blonde coffee they couldn't make today. Big disappointment! Smart Cashier saved the day by remaking an iced coffee that was 90% cream and then not charging us for an iced tea as a Father's Day promo. The iced coffee still had too much cream but the discount was a consolation and we needed a cold drink. I've never had an issue before but today I went to get my usual coffee and oatmilk brown sugar shaken espresso. I usually ask for a little cup of oatmilk, so i can add it into my coffee. Derrick was very helpful in assessing my caffeine requirements for the day. It was 0520, just after the Starbucks opened and I explained that I needed something large, high caffeine to get me from 0600 to about 2100. We went down the nitro vs cold brew options and he made a recommendation. Venti blonde, skinny vanilla latte. It went down smooth with only a minor hint of sugar free vanilla sweetener; that was mostly masked by the stronger coffee. He recommended blonde over the nitro to appease my size request and stated that the blonde had more caffeine. Overall, I was impressed by Derrick's assistance and friendliness. This location is by far my favorite Starbucks in the area. Everyone is so pleasant and knowledgeable. They welcome guests by name! They care enough to get to know their guests and remember their usual/favorite drinks. They were able to help me adjust and try a new drink towards my healthy lifestyle journey, and I absolutely loved it. I normally hate all coffee unless its Bustelo or the extra foofoo sweet stuff here. I got a healthier option AND with an amazing taste.
