If it had spilled or I had just went for oh boy I would be in the hospital. There's hot and there's scolding hot! There's no reason for it to be scolding hot! After getting so used to the great service at the Houston Circle Starbucks, it was pretty noticeable how poor the service was here. Usually, you're greeted with a friendly smile, but I couldn't help thinking "woooowwww she must be having a really bad day." We asked one question, and the response was completely laced with sarcasm... Like the woman helping us was secretly thinking in her head "what a stupid question." Not only was the service bad, but so were the drinks. My soy chai tasted completely watered down. My sister had to get her soy dirty chai completely remade, and I was told the caramel macchiato tasted like it wasn't mixed at all. I guess I'll be sticking to the west side. read more

Initially, the service at this location was marginal; however, when I informed the manager of one or two instances when the service was subpar, he immediately took measures tonmake it right. Now, this location employs a few of the veteran barristas from the Utah Avenue location and have hired an extremely friendly staff. I highly recommend this particular starbucks to anyone, as the quality of products are always accurate and crafted to level of starbucks standards; more importantly, the staff is energetic and courteous. ...getting every item to the customer with accuracy and expediency. Just went through this location and ordered my drinks as I do everyday, oat milk shaken espresso with light ice. Everything was normal until I got to the window and was handed one of them filled top to bottom with ice. I just asked her if we could have it fixed to being what the order was taken as (with light ice) but instead of getting my drink remade as it shows on the order receipt, the girl told me no she won't remake it and that if I wanted light ice I needed to have ordered a latte? Even though 1 of my 2 drinks they were okay to make correctly with light ice? there was NEVER a mention of this being not doable at the speaker when making the order. What in the heck kind of customer service is that? You took my order down for light ice at the speaker with no problem but then at the window refuse to give me what I actually ordered and tell me I needed to have ordered a different drink (which is the SAME PRICE) in order to have light ice? what kind of sense does that make? And she was INCREDIBLY rude about it to boot. I normally don't have any issues at this location but wow, if that girl is going to work their drive thru I will go to the other locations. The ONLY reason for two stars is because one drink was made right and their call center refunded me for the bad experience. read more

Hmmm. This Starbucks location is a bit frustrating. I went through the drive thru and ordered my usual. Venti decaf coconut milk latte with no foam: I had to repeat the order 4x. Each time she would repeat it back to me, something would be wrong with the order. I have a heart condition, which means NO CAFFEINE. When I finally arrived at the window, I paid and received my drink. As she handed me my drink I asked "this is decaf correct?" She then said "O! Nope. We forgot. Our bad." This in itself was unprofessional. If I drink caffeine, I usually end up in the ER. So knowing that they not only "forgot" but didn't hear me the first 4x.....was beyond frustrating. We have been going to this Starbucks pretty much daily for two years now and have ordered the same drink every time. It has been the best Starbucks in town. The last couple of weeks it has been the worst service. The lines are very long and slow. The quality of our drinks has been awful and most times not even getting our simple order correct. The employees are always extremely nice and friendly so we never say anything but it's gone on too long now. We are really hoping they can pull through this transition they seem to be going through of constant new employees and be the best coffee house in town again ! read more

My candid review is based on multiple visits to this Starbucks location over the last 2 years. This Starbucks is a stand alone location and does participate in Starbucks Rewards. It is located on 17th street and can be very dangerous to get to. It's parking lot design, entry and exit create difficulty when driving past on 17th or entering from 17th. Traffic will often cut across the double solid line into oncoming traffic to enter the packing lot, instead of using the green arrow, 50ft ahead to turn onto Jenny Lee and then into the parking lot. Likewise, those exiting onto 17th directly from the parking lot will make an illegal left crossing the double line and turning lane to make their left turn. The facility is a newer location and tends to be clean, but the cleanliness is hit or miss. When visiting with a client on a recent Sunday, empty tables were dirty and the bar was filthy with spilt drinks and splashes from the Baristas. I cleaned a section of a family style table for my client and myself to sit at. The Starbucks in this area, all of them, prove to be consistently, inconsistent, in their barista capabilities and the rudeness shines most bright. There are very few who are wonderfully nice and accommodating, even if their skills are subpar, but there a several who smile and carry out poor quality service, then get very defensive upon any sign of dissatisfaction by a patron and must be handled with "kitten mittens", or they become highly upset. For this review, because of the poor service the last 3 times in a row, I am leaving a more specific review. This incident is my most recent. I placed a mobile order, in the evening of a slow weekday, and picked it up through the drive through. The greeting was friendly and I was told "See you at the window!" Upon arriving at the window, I watched the Barista make my order and repeatedly check the order and stumble around, perhaps new to the job, perhaps not. I felt she was missing custom items and then she proceeded to take the drink and dump off the whipped topping and other toppings along with about 2 inches of the beverage, dump the drink back into the blender, add other items and re-blend the drink (thus making it double blended). She completed the drink and gave it to me, with chocolate pouring down the side. I asked her to wipe the chocolate off and she did with a rag from the sink. While she was wiping the drink cup, I noticed it was much more liquidly than it typically is from other locations (it was a repeat order, lite ice Frappuccino with extra syrup, so it is not expected to be very thick). I told her it looks more liquid than usual and she proceeded with it is lite ice so it is going to be that way. I again made my statement and she offered to remake it. I just wanted to get home so I accepted it as is and said, "That's okay, Thank you!" in a nice tone, then repeated "Thank you" again as I was leaving, only to be told, "Yeah" and have the window shut. I stopped, sat there for a few moments looking at her, to let her know I changed my mind and did want a remake, due to the attitude, but she just kept looking at me with a scowl, not asking if I needed anything else. I drove around, parked and entered the building. There was an employee sitting at the bar, who looked at me with a look of "ughh really?" After waiting a few moments, the barista who made my drink and another employee who were standing right in-front of me and did not notice I was there, turned and saw me. The barista, who was not the original, asked if he could help me. I stated, "As discussed at the window, I would like my drink remade. And, when someone says, "Thank-You" the appropriate response is, "Your welcome, not "Yeah" and the window slammed in my face." The Barista who originally made my drink then turned around and said, "I offered to remake it and you said no." I then responded that I said, "No, Thank You and then Thanked you again and you said Yeah." She burst out loudly with, "I didn't hear you! I can't hear well! I just had ear surgery and I would appreciate if you respect that!" So, she used her supposed surgery as an escape goat, but her reply of "Yeah" to my "Thank You" clearly showed she heard me thank her, or she would have not replied at all or asked me to repeat myself. This barista who supposedly could not hear well, was working the drive thru with a headset on, so I can only determine that her hearing was working well enough. The barista who remade my drink did a better job, but he chose to not say anything to me and ignore anything said. In conclusion, I also said, "Thank You" to him and he said nothing; I repeated it, and he still had no reply, just went back to talking on his headset. Given this last event, I can't give this location more than a one star rating. Because of this hit or miss service, I wish a patron could tip a specific barista, like the wonderful girl with very long hair at this location, who is always a great example of service! read more

I am a frequent flier here and I find the staff pleasant, friendly and accurate. Rare mistakes, no different than other locations. They are quite attentive, and I noted for myself and many others most of the Baristas will remember my (and others) names! Highly recommended! read more

Update: store is much cleaner, newer staff is much nicer, service is quicker and corporate must have contacted the management. Skinny or regular, dulce de leche is advertised with the sprinkles. Store is usually kind of sloppy looking with unbussed tables. Depending on who is at the counter, service is okay or poor. I usually order a grande skinny cinnamon dulce. The app and website show that the dulce sprinkles come with the drink, skinny or not. If I order a regular Cinnamon Dulce the Jenny Lee Store in Idaho Falls puts the sprinkles on without an issue. If I order a skinny Cinnamon Dulce, they won't put them on unless I pay an additional $.50. They do not charge less for the skinny drink. I can totally understand if they charged less for the drinkif I had asked for extra sprinkles, which I wasn't. I just wanted the sprinkles that are supposed to come with the drink. I can even understand letting the customer decide if sprinkles are desired since some people cannot have any sugar at all. After they extracted the $.50 from me once, they were so stingy with them, that it was hard to tell if there were any sprinkles on the drink. If we go to that particular store I order a skinny something else. read more

It's a Starbucks, but if you like plain Frappuccinos this is the place for you! They have yet to put any syrup in the cup or on the whip cream. I've twice ordered a caramel and once a mocha coconut, it tasted overly watered down, i couldn't even taste my espresso shot that i paid extra for!. It's the worst Starbucks I've ever gone to and I've been a patron to the company for over 20 years. I'll stick with going to a different location. read more

The is the first Starbuck's store I've been to were the customer service was awful. The atmosphere was so tense and unfriendly. None of the staff were communicating with each other. Not one single staff member broke a smile, they looked so miserable. I had a question regarding my order, it was clear that I was noticed but no one asked me if I needed help. Starbuck's are very busy but there are stores in New York City twenty times busier than this store that are able to pull off a lot of friendliness and excellent customer service. I have been to this store many times, each time thinking, "This time it will be different." It never is. The only person who ever greets me and makes my (uncomplicated) drink properly is Brenda. Otherwise I don't even get a fake half smile or a whispered "hello." They don't look at the customers when handing out a drink, let alone say thank you. It takes twice as long as the busiest Starbucks I've been to to make a drink, even when there is only one car in drive thru and no one in front of me in lobby. Iced teas and refreshers don't get shaken by most of the people, which really does make a difference. Most other drinks are not made well, employees are touching their faces and not washing hands, the trash is always overflowing, there are crumbs everywhere. I will not be going back to that store, not even to claim my free drink for calling and complaining about my last drink. read more
