This location in the mall complex is terrible. For days they had their water shut off. And then when we finally did stop because it just happens to be convenient, the drink was soupy and they forgot the mocha chips. It's just bad. Skip this one altogether. I swear this is the most relaxed and enjoyable starbucks I have ever been to. I've been here multiple times and never had an issue. My drink is always ready promptly and always tastes great, the employees are amazing (I see the same few every time I come) and they always seem to be having a good time, which definitely helps the atmosphere a lot. Easily accessible, standard Starbucks delivers positive service and generally meets chain-level expectations. This is now my most frequently visited Starbucks because of it's central location 15 minutes from my home and no more than 15-20 minutes for most people that I Starbucks with. Interior is a mix of hardwood chairs and tables, a small amount of cushioned chairs, and some padded bench seating. Decor is what you expect from a Starbucks. And, the corner location provides quite a bit of light in the medium sized interior. I have been to some Starbucks locations that appear more updated than this one. But, even when extremely busy, I've always been able to find a seat. Coffee and service are also as-expected, which is speedy and upbeat. One manager, with a goatee can't remember his name, is usually ready with a dry joke and personal touch. Drinks come out quickly and I've never had a problem with something being done incorrectly. I suppose it's a comment on Starbucks consistency to use the term "as expected" so often in this review. Honestly if there was a unique, local coffee shop in this area (Roots is the closest), Id' probably go there. But, for now Starbucks does it's job of providing a warm drink and a convenient place to catch up with a friend. read more

These people ruin my day every time I come to this location. Today (9am on 11/08/23) the cashier couldn't even be bothered to speak to me when I walked up to the counter. Didn't say a word the whole time I ordered. They are always slow. Last time I came the man acted as if he didn't know the system despite the working here for a while and messed up my order. The drinks never taste that good and none of the workers look happy. Do not come here to start your day because they will not make it a great start. read more

Wallplugs are abundant here. I don't get coffee often so when I asked the staff for some recommendations they did not disappoint on something I might like. This place is nice and clean with a laidback atmosphere. There are always large groups of people gathered here for meetings and meet ups. I am a frequent visitor to this particular Starbucks location. I have fond memories of the previous staff, particularly David, who consistently provided exceptional service and made me feel valued as a customer. However, I must express my disappointment with the current manager, an African American gentleman with glasses. Unfortunately, interactions with him often leave me with the impression that he is in a perpetually negative mood. Unlike the other staff members who warmly greet customers with genuine smiles and address them by name, I find it disheartening that I do not experience the same level of hospitality when the aforementioned manager is present. These encounters have become increasingly uncomfortable, prompting me to seek an alternative option by visiting the Starbucks on Precinct Line. The noise levels easily could have been solved if Starbucks bothered to provide proper sound dampening. However, they focused on style over function. They're really nice at this location! I went here to study and the barista remembered me from the last time I came. He was very kind and gave me a free pumpkin scone to go with my Pumpkin Spiced Latte! I'm sure it was because the place wasn't busy as usual and it was nearing towards the end of the day. It was a good Starbucks experience, but one thing about this visit creeped me out a bit. While waiting for my egg nog latte, I glanced up. Over the espresso machines there is a decorative element that looks like a swirl and is lit from within. It is fabricated from sheet metal and is connected to the ventilation system. The thing that bugged me is that the inside is it thick with dust, and this pile of dust is directly over the machine that makes the coffee and steams the dairy products (or non-dairy if you are a soy drinker). The fact that this swirl is part of the HVAC system, and thus has air moving through it, makes me think a lot of dust ends up in our drinks. If the place was not so slamming busy last night, I probably would have said something, so instead I'm going to yelp about it an hope it gets noticed. Bottom line: If dust bugs you, don't look up while waiting for your beverage to arrive. read more

Great service, and they had my drink to me pretty fast although the place was packed. The downsides to me are that this place is frequently packed with people, and loud too. Sometimes the music is very loud too. I would also recommend that they add more outlets for customers to charge phones, tablets and laptops. Other than that, a good experience overall! This place is BIG! My last Starbucks review was on the cafe in Irving at 114 and Macarthur. That place is huge as well, but the big difference between the two is that the Hurst location is not as busy as the one in Irving. So you have the space, and the seating! The interior is on the corner of a very large strip mall area. The interior has a tremendous amount of tables, lounge chairs and a bar that looks outside. The exterior has a tremendous amount of seating as well that lines along one wall, turns the corner, and has a few seats in front of the other entryway. A great place to stop and do some reading or work on your laptop. The other 2 factors that count for me is the service and the product...check, check! It doesn't have a drive thru, therefore when you actually go inside it cuts down on the mistakes in my case. There have been so many times that I went through the drive through, drove off, and then caught a mistake with my beverage and didn't really have time to come back. In this place's case, the mistakes are minimal, and the one time it happened, I caught it, went back to the counter with it, and it was quickly fixed! An awesome, friendly staff that makes a great cup of coffee. This is a regular stop for me and I don't see signs of anything changing! read more

Store was dirty; not the kind of dirty you notice as soon as you walk in the door, but if you look closely / aren't staring at your phone the whole time (like I usually do, admittedly) you can tell they don't take the time to actually clean things like they're supposed to. I get it, I've worked in a chain like this before. But that check list of things you're supposed to do when closing or opening isn't just for sh*ts and giggles, there's a reason why you're supposed to dust the equipment behind the counter. Gross. Also, employee was very rude when I approached the counter to grab what I thought was my drink (iced hazelnut latte, 6 shots of espresso). It turns out it was someone else's drink. That's okay, honest mistake. No need for the sass. "Um, that's NOT your's" and then when he handed me mine, I say "ah, that must be it, thank you!" he replied "um, yeah, completely different drink." No, not really. You called out "iced latte, extra espresso", that's literally what mine was too. Not my fault y'all didn't take names down with the orders like you're supposed to. read more

Starbucks in recent years has trended from being a "hip hang out coffee shop" to a fast-food, cattle herding joint. For this particular location, they have a few different people working there, so it's kind of awkward sometimes. They've stopped greeting you as you walk in the door, and trying to remember your name, but rather just asking what you want to drink and moving on... personally, I hate this one. The drive-thru ones are better because I tend to EXPECT a low customer service standard with a drive thru. BUT, if I'm eating in some place, even if it's just a coffee shop, I expect to be treated better. That, and the coffee isn't all that great anymore. They need to work on their customer service and restaff w baristas that aren't condescending and sarcastically wish you a nice day. The wait time here is nuts, I waited about 20 minutes for my drink, and when I asked the barista if there was an issue, he's like "I have it" as if waiting for 20 minutes is a normal thing, no acknowledgement what so ever that they were providing less than stellar service. Better than the usual good Starbucks service. Interaction with customers is sincere, not of the saccharine variety. They do not grudgingly remake drinks; if you are not happy with a drink, they will gladly remake it. I like that they do not have a drive-through which means that they can focus their attention on you (and your drink is not waiting to be made because of drive-through orders). read more
