Coffee enthusiasts, don't judge me. I had a series of years that I stopped going to Starbucks after drinking a vente mocha and getting dog sick. It was a weeks after that I realized that even though I grew up drinking coffee ( traveled a lot growing up and my parents were very lenient on vacation so we had coffee with 99% milk and sugar, lol) I no longer could stand caffeine without getting extremely nauseous and dizzy to the point I couldn't function. The worst part of this information thar no one should care about is I was stuck in the front row of a church conference and even though I could have left I thought it would look tacky and put too much attention on me. That being said, I came back to Starbucks one winter when my sister introduced me to the now retired salted caramel hot chocolate. That was a perfect drink. I fell in love with my first sip, seeing as I absolutely hate caramel and especially salted caramel. I now go often, and I come here often to the drive-through and in store. The employees are upbeat and very pleasant. They can get very busy but they handle it professionally. I get Venti or Grande hot chocolate with extra vanilla and a pump of caramel and it tastes incredible. It's a habit now. The nerd who gets hot chocolate at coffee shops. I enjoy this Starbucks. Thier banana bread is good and not too sweet. I like it cold and not warmed up. I'm sitting here in my car writing this as my first 2024 review. read more

I never write reviews for Starbucks since they get business without trying. However the service here deserves a comment. I walked in unsure what I wanted. The first girl was working the drive thru but offered me help anyway. The second girl when I told the first I wasn't ready told me to just let her know as she was making tea. I didn't want to bother her since it would simple be a second more but the third girl while doing other stuff saw I was ready and instantly came to take my order. I literally had all three employees going out of their way to make sure I had service as soon as I needed. This location every time I'm in it lately has been above and beyond. I believe the behind the counter staff at this location are extremely professional and friendly and go out of their way to either remember your drink of choice and lots of time even your name. I tried calling this location a few times regarding community outreach and a sponsor proposal for my Non-Profit Youth Organization. I couldn't tell you who answered the phone because they spoke so fast and rude. When asked to speak with a manager, the lady abruptly interrupted me and said "We don't do that here" and then proceeded to hang up on the phone. I then called back asking again if I could speak with a manager. The lady didn't even say anything, she, again, hung up the phone. Whoever was on staff Thursday, July 11 around 12:20 pm, I am deeply upset and offended at this customer service. I literally tasted no crunch in the drink at all it was only on top of the whipped cream so I paid extra for no reason. There was barley any coffee it tasted like water. When I asked if they could make anything ended they said they were completely out of the "base" to make any frappes - how does a mainstream coffee shop manage to "run out" of any key ingredient required to make one of the only items they offer - coffee ? Starbucks is Starbucks so the product is exactly the same as every other Starbucks. It's the service that sucks. I order a drip coffee with half and half and I have to wait behind every fancy coffee from the drive through and the counter. I've waited up to 10 minutes to get my coffee. There is always an excuse. Today it was, "We're having issues with the half and half." I saw 8 employees working as they all ignored me. Disappointed again with the service. It just doesn't seem to get better. read more

After coming to this location for a while, I'm going to have to dock a star. The service here has been inconsistent with getting my orders right. I normally order a blonde double-shot espresso with sweetener or a cold brew with milk and sweetener. I obviously don't order anything too complicated. I usually make a quick stop to this location to order the same exact two coffees for my boyfriend and I, yet one will not taste like the other. The sweetness level will be off (one will taste more bitter than the other), or they make the coffees completely different from when we've ordered from other locations. Today's experience was horrible I ordered online and it wasn't ready when I arrived! I waited 20mins just standing there waiting for someone to start my drink, only for the batista to ask the guy behind her that was taking out the trash to fix my drink. He never washed his hands and proceeded to fix my drink and didn't even fix it correctly. I ordered a venti that wasn't correct,no almond milk and no whip. This starbuck is a cash cow. All of these stores nearby and big companies will all come here. The service is always fast in the drive through. Omar at the drive through is always helpful in the morning and getting drinks out fast and professionally. I never have a problem with this location! I wanted to collect stars and I need my 4 items to be separate. Omar told me that it's always good practice to tell them early on so they can make 4 separate transactions. But despite my annoying desire to get 100 stars, he had NO problem cancelling out fast and reentering everything as separate transactions. Excellent service! read more

I used to love Starbucks but it seems like now every location is the same, managers that either don't know what they're doing or don't care, this store always has such a long wait time, sometimes my food is not even warm, it's usually dirty or understaffed, how is this possible for such a large corporation? Completely unacceptable. Associate working the drive-thru not friendly at all. It didn't take me too much time to get to the window, but when I did I had to wait longer than average for one tall smores frappacino. Halfway through my drink, I realize it's literally half a block of ice. Yep, I just paid $5 for some ice. Then I thought, oh well, maybe that will save me some calories and I was able to move past it. UNTIL I discovered a hair in my drink. I ended up calling and politely letting the manager know what happened. She said sorry and that was about it. Not very helpful or apologetic. Typical Starbucks shop. Nothing wowing about this particular location, nothing disappointing either. This location is a bit quieter than most, maybe cause it's a stone's throw from crazy busy Westheimer Rd. The drive thru is constantly busy, be it mid morning or late afternoon which is when I went. It was nice to sit in the shop sip my frap and shun the sun for a bit. The employees, nice and patient are the reason I keep visiting this location. read more

I'm judging this Starbucks based on fast food standards and also comparing this Starbucks to others. I think this place has really great service. Majority of the staff were really patient to their customers and informative. They all worked well together and have become friends with one another. Most of them held a smile during their job which is quite impressive, knowing how hard it must be working in food service. There was one time when one employee was obviously having a rough day. But she apologized for her attitude and explained to the customer that she wasn't having the best of days, This small act was was very considerate of her, and I had a newfound respect for her. There are a couple of downsides. Majority of the tables are tiny and not all of them have plugs. The trestrooms looked decently clean, but always smelled like air freshener with a hint of pee. During the summers, they crank the AC really low and I find myself freezing with short sleeves on. The music is kind of loud and they play a mix of pop, to jazz, to indie music. 4 stars for great service. The coffee tastes just like how any other Starbucks coffee. I come here all the time regardless of some of the things I dislike about this place. To me, it's one of the better Starbucks that exists in this city. read more

Starbucks in general is a hit or miss. You pay 8 dollars for a drink and expect it to be 8 dollars quality. Drinks at this location and most locations are made right 1/4 of the time. Baristas are not reading labels on drinks and managers aren't enforcing proper training or solutions. Customer service is not the problem but the quality of drinks has fallen over the years. Save yourself some money. Don't pay 8 dollars for a 2 dollar drink. Get a Nespresso machine or an espresso machine, some syrups and make your own for a fraction of the price and to your quality. read more

Convenient location with drive-thru right by my house so it's my go-to for coffee in the mornings before the long trek to work. The drive thru is typically busy but lines do move fairly fast. If there are four to five vehicles ahead of me, I'm usually in and out within 7-10 minutes. Why 3 stars? Consistency. 2 out of 4 times my coffee comes out right. The customer service is always on point. They do tend to push the food sales fairly aggressively but my broke butt always declines politely. I think the service here is great when it's not busy because the baristas take time to make a conversation, and usually what they're saying is funny! However, the lines are definitely slow when it's busy, but hey it's the energy corridor. There's traffic and slow lines regardless. The service here is PISS POOR. They are ALWAYS slow. Even when it is ONE car ahead of you on a Sunday. I've witnessed them casually talking to a customer for 8 minutes AFTER the order is received. Like I have no where to go. I try to continuously give them a chance. This morning I get there at 7:28. Placed my order at 7:39. At 7:55 two out of three drinks but one is not even what is on the receipt. What the Frack. I need to get to work. Not wait on incompetent employees EVERY DAMN time I come. Why does coffee seem to make everything better? Truth be told, I don't have the exact answer. All I know is when I come to this Starbucks I'm probably pulling up with a smile because I know I'm about to get my life- and that's all that matters! I frequent this location pretty often and haven't had any complaints thus far. Whether it's a Caramel Macchiato type of day for me or a Cinnamon Dolce Latte with a triple shot of espresso, the baristas definitely deliver each and every time. The drive-thru line can be long sometimes, mostly during the morning hours but they tend to move pretty quickly. Although I don't go inside as often, I have walked in a few times was able to get in and out pretty fast just as I do in the drive-thru. The times I've gone in I noticed on more than one occasion that the pastries and food items didn't look very fresh. Maybe I caught them at the wrong time of day but it was definitely an observation. The inside isn't very big- I'm sure if you wanted to get there to set up shop on your computer and/or get some work done it wouldn't be a problem snagging a place to sit as it is usually not over crowded like some locations. They also have a small patio out front if you want to chill outside. The baristas are usually very friendly. I must give props to one guy in particular named Xavier. He is always super jolly! There have been times I've pulled up to order at the drive-thru and he took my order as if he was auditioning for a commercial! Seriously Starbucks, can we get this guy a raise? I usually crack up laughing because it catches me off guard each time. He goes the extra mile with customer service and ends it with a smile along with your order waiting at the window.
