So this morning, I ordered through the mobile app. It's early, I'm tired. I'm also used to Dunkin' Donuts drive-through for mobile orders. I went through the drive-through and said I had a mobile order and gave them my name. No one responded back on the speaker. So I drove around to the window. There was a young girl with a headset on taking an order from the drive-through. She didn't look at me, acknowledge me, or say a word. she handed me my sandwich and continued doing what she was doing without saying a word. To which I replied, "wow, you guys are friendly today." She didn't acknowledge anything. In my opinion, she was very rude. Then I realized oops I'm not at Dunkin' Donuts. I'm at Starbucks. I needed to go in and pick that order up. Honest mistake, tired, hungry. Where is the customer service, and friendliness? This girl ought to have words with management. As Starbucks is currently undergoing closures, layoffs, and restructuring. I think customer service and friendliness would go a long way. read more

I came here to kill time and wasn't disappointed. It opens at 5:00am so it suited my early morning needs. I'm not sure if it's new, but it sure looks like it. There's a cute outside seating area that I would have used if it had been a little warmer. The inside is bigger than most Starbucks I've seen, and is nice and bright, yet cozy. I was greeted right as I walked in the door and helped right away. I had the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and it was pretty good. Would definitely recommend. read more

If I could rate in the negative I would: 13360 Franklin Farm Rd, Herndon, VA 20171 -THE WORST STARBUCK LOCATION IN ALL OF VIRGINIA. RUDE STAFF, CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IS BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. Recently returned customer after 5yr break from Starbuck and now I remember why I stopped going. This location should be closed and all staff fired. If this is what corporate calls customer service they need to rethink the customer experience model. Questionable food handling practices: failure to wear gloves when handling food, touching bare skin to the food side of the tongs (food sanitation violation -probably)---they should be inspected. Always check your order before leaving the store or drive-thru. Today they cheerfully handed me two drinks, telling me to have a nice day. Yet two items from my order were still not yet handed to me. Last week my husband picked up, brought it home, and a bakery item was missing. If they didn't have it, they certainly didn't alert my husband to see if he wanted a substitution. I was hoping to not be disappointed at a Starbucks before, but it happened that way. I stopped by the Herndon location and saw the long drive-thru line, so I went inside to order ahead. The drink I wanted (Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso) is not on the Starbucks Mobile App, so that's why I ordered at the counter. My order was taken right away which was awesome. A handful of customers were inside, waiting on their order. I've noticed many of the baristas were focusing on drive-thru or mobile orders instead of my order. It is a possibility that my order was placed last, but I highly doubt it. I waited and waited, I heard people's names being called out, saw the drive-thru line shortening, and a barista looked up and saw that I was still standing. The barista asked, "did you do a mobile order?" I said "no, I ordered here", and it seemed like she disregarded my order. Moments later I walked up to her and told her the name of my order. She saw that my name was the next order and the barista told me that she'll be working on it. The barista called my name and well, I was NOT expecting my drink to come out short.. literally. The drink was not filled all the way and she put way more ice when I requested less ice. I don't think there was no chance I made her upset, for I was patient enough to wait for my order. I did not bother complaining, since I waited for a good 10 minutes and I was running late to work. I was even way more disappointed when the brown sugar was not included! My drink didn't taste sweet at all. This was not a good way to order a free drink either. I would try this place again, but only drive-thru. If you ever want to order inside, I wouldn't suggest that route. read more

I was nearby and I ordered a coffee and a grilled cheese on the Starbucks mobile app. When I walked in, my coffee was ready but my grilled cheese wasn't. I waited for nearly ten minutes and the app said the grilled cheese was ready. It wasn't there so I asked the barista about the grilled cheese. He said: "we are out of grilled cheese". Happily, I found this the second closest store to my home in Chantilly open for business (my usual has been open erratically and now closed for renovations) and was very pleased with the environment, cleanliness of store and restroom, and service compared to my usual and others I've encountered lately. After waiting for 5 minutes, I asked if the order was ready. It had already been made but no one informed me. It was sitting there getting cold because they just put it off to the side. Perfect location for working. They have strong WiFi, several tables, bar tops and cushioned arm chairs. Customer service was great seeing as I ordered around 12, and they were very busy. It did take about 8-10 minutes to get my drink. Bring your own reusable cup and get a discount for helping the environment! Would definitely return to this location! read more

One of my first jobs was a barista at Starbucks. I used to get overwhelmed by customers who had very specific requests for their drinks. Skim milk, two packets of Splenda, extra hot, medium foam, and 1.5 shots of espresso. I couldn't appreciate the art of customization until I started drinking coffee and wanted to pay for what I want. I am one of those customers now. Even though there are five Starbucks near my house, this one gets my order right 90% of the time. I've had one Starbucks that made three versions of the same drink. I can also taste four pumps of chocolate in my hot chocolate when I requested two pumps from some Starbucks as well. Not this one. This one gets my order right the majority of the time and I think that's pretty good. In addition, the place is pretty neat and the staff is friendly when there are long lines in the morning. This Starbucks isn't the closest one to me but it's my favorite and Starbucks of choice. read more

There's a lot of add on that isn't there in ubereats so I thought of ordering the regular Frappuccino and just call them. Locate inside the Franklin Farms shopping center, this Starbucks is can be found at the far end, away from Fairfax County Parkway. No drive-thru window, but that's no problem unless you're really lazy and you just don't want to get out of your car. I really want to give this place a higher rating because the staff is so friendly and the space is bigger than most Starbucks locations near my house, but I can't because of one main thing: Flies. Everywhere. What really annoys me about this place is the fact that they have several flies flying around inside the store. I once stopped in to get some work done and noticed several flies flying towards the back of the store and thought "oh, it must of been one of those days the back door was propped open or something." Unfortunately it wasn't just a one time thing. I came back a couple of times to do some work and there were still several flies flying around (I wonder if they were the same flies). One could argue that it's not such a big deal if you're just grabbing coffee to-go, but personally I think it's pretty disgusting when a store that serves food and drinks have flies flying around. Because this is the biggest Starbucks location near my house, I would like to be able to sit around here and get work done. The flies here are just really annoying and makes me wonder how dirty this place must be if there are flies constantly flying around. I thoroughly enjoy bringing my laptop and getting work done inside coffeeshops. This Starbucks isn't going to be one of them if they don't fix this infestation problem soon. read more

I always go to this Starbs and I love the employees here. They are always super sweet and the service is great. My pup loves it as well. I feel like my day always feels better after going here even if I had a terrible day. The food has always been great and the seating inside and outside is perfect. Tons of space to study or hang out inside. There is a separate section in the back for a large group study or date. I've never had issues with the services and if my drink is wrong, they always fix it without any issues. read more

I recently started working in the area, so this has been my go-to for morning coffee. So far, they've got every online order correct that I've placed. It's conveniently located next to a Crest dry cleaning service, Giant groceries, a Sunoco gas station, and even a few restaurants. There is plenty of parking throughout the day, I've yet to struggle to find parking in the mornings(830am) or evenings(530pm). I went with a 4 star rating due to this morning's experience. Im assuming they were training new baristas because my usual order only takes about 5minutes to prepare, but this morning I actually had to wait about 15minutes before my app order was ready. Nonetheless, I still recommend this location if you need to pick up some Starbucks while on the way to work or running errands. read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks - in addition being able to get some good caffeine - the staff are friendly and polite. And what I like best is how the interior of the place feels. As other reviewers have noted - the place is fairly large compared to other Starbucks. There is a ton of seating! Generally speaking I'm not a big fan of Starbucks. I do like coffee and I do like sweet sugary syrups. I just don't visit Starbucks unless I have a gift card. I came here on Thursday as my friend was in the hospital nearby and I needed coffee off premises and lots of air. I walked into what I thought to be a room similar to a longhouse really. It was very nice and roomy. Nice wooden table and beams with the high ceiling made it feel like I was at a resort. It was loud though. The machines, people and music probably mixed with the high ceilings and roominess just made my head swim. Most people had called in advance for their drink so when I thought there were a couple people in front of me, there were a ton coming in to grab and go. My coffee was still good and fairly timely. I just sat at the register, on an extremely slow day, for 7 minutes. I was looked at multiple times but never acknowledged by the 2 very capable people "running the bar"; not a hello, not a one moment, not even a call to order. Nothing until the lady doing dishes in the back came to greet me. The main issue I have is that I myself have worked at a Starbucks for 4 years and been a Certified Barista and Certified Learning Coach in the past. None of what I just experienced is acceptable on a customer service level OR a Starbucks level. I have lived around the corner from this Starbucks and frequented it for the past 8 years.
