Slowest Starbucks ever. Took absolutely forever for just two drinks. Do not recommend.

I was in the area on my way home and decided I'd grab a coffee from here since my earlier coffee of the day was disappointing and I always love to check out local coffee when I'm in unfamiliar places. This coffee shop is located in downtown Fayetteville and has a cute historic small-town feel to it. Street parking wasn't too hard to find in the early afternoon. I walked into a nicely air conditioned shop and was promptly greeted by a polite employee. They have a lot of specialty drinks with different flavors posted on the wall. They also offer some simple lunch options. After a minute or so of deliberation, I decided to order one of their specialty lattes. I'm a little bit removed from my visit, but I seem to recall it being the "Witches Brew;" it had some combination of chocolate, caramel, and I think maybe vanilla flavors. The nice employee made it for me quickly and I was out the door. Overall, it was a decent beverage. It mostly just tasted like a mocha to me -- didn't pick up on much caramel or vanilla. It was better than the coffee I got earlier, though, so that was a plus! The service was very polite, I liked the vibe, and I liked my drink enough that I'd return and try another drink in the future.

Great service, with a smile. There is an extensive menu that most folks were ordering but I respect a place that keeps the coffee at the forefront. Will make this a regular stop as I travel Highway 231.

While they were…read morewaiting for a shipment of chickory, I enjoyed a Pralines & Cream latte and my daughter enjoyed Southern Wedding Cake (almond and vanilla) frozen latte. We couldn't NOT order the fresh, piping hot beignets. It is all sooo delicious. The two employees were so helpful and made fantastic recommendations. The bathrooms are so clean and nice & the dining room was comfy, modern yet not cold. We'll hit this place again on our way home from dropping our kid off to Space Camp.

Review of PJ's Coffee: A Sweet Taste of NOLA Nostalgia…read more Stepping into PJ's Coffee feels like a warm hug from New Orleans itself. For someone who spent countless summers in NOLA, the scent of fresh beignets and the sweet, nutty richness of their Southern Praline Cold Brew is more than coffee--it's a memory. The praline flavor is just right: indulgent without being overpowering, capturing that classic New Orleans sweetness with a grown-up sophistication. And the beignets? Pillowy, powdered sugar-dusted perfection. They don't try to overdo it--they let tradition speak. The vibe inside is cozy and welcoming, with that easy Southern energy. The staff is friendly, fast, and genuinely warm--like they're just as happy you're there as you are. It's the kind of place where you don't feel like a customer--you feel like a regular, even if it's your first visit. PJ's doesn't just serve drinks and pastries; they serve comfort. Familiar. Southern. Home.

I'm a UGE fan of "buy local" whenever I can. Let's face it, coffee isn't complicated, people that make it complicated are kind of weird to me. Reviews are kind of all over the place, I'll go middle of the road, but would tend to lean towards it probably being more along the lines of a 2.5 star location. The person working was friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable about the menu items, but that's about where the good came to a complete stop. Limited flavors available, so not a lot of options if you aren't into coffee and are looking for something different. My wife had been trying all day to get a good cup of coffee .... this wasn't it. Just to clarify, she isn't a coffee snob in any way shape or form .... she is pretty easy going when it comes to coffee. She was pretty much ready to toss what she had and not drink anymore, so really all in all not that impressed. As I type this review and keep looking at the three star rating as being 'OK', I realize that isn't a fair rating and am lowering it to a 2 star review. Again, the person working was friendly, but you're going here to buy a good cup of coffee and that isn't what we got.
