The mercantile store offers a lot of cool things to browse while your coffee is made. There's also an (unaffiliated, I think) chocolate/confection selection that's quite beautiful and impressive. Second off, let me just say I'm kind of obsessed with the branding here. It's got a plane motif and the catchphrase "your morning wingman" for coffee is just too cute. I saw this company is veteran owned; I wonder if Air Force? Not sure, but the concept is adorable regardless. Their barista seemed to be ringing a mercantile customer up when I arrived. He was very apologetic about not being right with me. It was not a huge deal at all (I waited less than 2 minutes), but I appreciated his eagerness to help me. Great service! I ordered a medium iced salted caramel + dark chocolate latte, one of their recommended flavor combos. It came in a cute cup and the ice : coffee ratio was perfect. I didn't get much dark chocolate flavor but the caramel was there for sure. It was a very creamy, thick latte with a balanced flavor. Personally, I like my lattes a tiny bit sweeter, but I'm definitely a sugar freak when it comes to coffee, so YMMV! Overall, it was yummy and I'm glad I stopped in. It's a spicy mocha, with a dusting of cayenne on top. Allegedly. I've had mochas like this before. They're often made spicy with cinnamon and/or cayenne. I've enjoyed the ones I've tried very much (the version of it at Gold Sprint in Huntsville is delicious!) so I was excited for this one. It had me completely convinced I'd somehow made the barista furious without knowing how. I am fairly heat-tolerant and like spicy stuff and it had me absolutely on FIRE. I thought maybe I'd accidentally gotten a sip of cayenne straight from the top, so I tried mixing it up and drinking from another spot with my straw. Nope. I tried multiple times, coughing up a storm the whole time. But the whole thing was crazy spicy. Inedibly (un-drinkably?) spicy. The cayenne went straight to the back of my throat and sat there scalding me for a long time. I was so sad. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is the coconut cream scone. It was supposed to be heated up...I can't say it was much more than a little above room temperature. But I munched on it in my car and thought it was pretty good. A little dry, as many scones tend to be, but the coconut glaze and cream was flavorful and silky. I enjoyed it. I planned on sharing the hazelnut pastry with my husband later. However, I examined it when I got home (mind you, I hadn't opened it since after leaving the restaurant) only to find...a short, slightly curly black hair attached (baked in?) to it. Facepalm. Straight to the trash it went, regrettably. No idea if it was good or not. It looked good, except for the hair. An incredibly disappointing visit. I'm really sad to write this review. They have standard coffee drinks, chai, lemonade, a few fizzy energy drinks, etc. -- pretty typical roster for the more hip/modern quick service coffee stops (or trucks, as the case may be!). There's maybe one or two seasonal specialties but it's mostly choose your style of drink + add flavors if you want. As such, I chose a small iced latte with mocha and hazelnut flavor pumps. This tends to be a reliable winner for me when there's not a specialty drink I want to try. They don't have a huge variety of flavors but certainly enough that most people should be able to find something that works. I grabbed an iced chai and a lemonade for some coworkers too. :) Pricing is about as I'd expect. The service was nice! The truck is really high off the ground so I had to reach because I'm short lol. The barista/employee was very pleasant and made our drinks quickly. I enjoyed my drink! Idk if this'll be read like the compliment I intend it to be, but my drink reminded me of my ideal Dunkin experience -- and I like Dunkin! Slightly thinner consistency than your average latte, a little on the sweet side, flavors not crazy complex or nuanced but just enjoyably sweet and nutty. Would drink again! From the moment I heard the voice over the speaker, I could sense such genuine warmth and friendliness. It wasn't just the usual polite customer service. There was something so sincere and welcoming in her tone that I actually found myself wanting to put a face to the voice! I don't think I've ever experienced that at a drive-thru before, and it's exactly what inspired me to write this review. I walked into a nicely air conditioned shop and was promptly greeted by a polite employee. They have a lot of specialty drinks with different flavors posted on the wall. They also offer some simple lunch options. After a minute or so of deliberation, I decided to order one of their specialty lattes. I'm a little bit removed from my visit, but I seem to recall it being the "Witches Brew;" it had some combination of chocolate, caramel, and I think maybe vanilla flavors. The nice employee made it for me quickly and I was out the door. Overall, it was a decent beverage. It mostly just tasted like a mocha to me -- didn't pick up on much caramel or vanilla. It was better than the coffee I got earlier, though, so that was a plus! The service was very polite, I liked the vibe, and I liked my drink enough that I'd return and try another drink in the future.
