Three stars is about right as of October 2022. I rode through around 7:45AM on a Monday. The drive-through line was well managed, not too long. They were out of 50% of what I was tasked to bring home. Who is out of pumpkin scones before 8 AM on October morning? First world problems, right? They did have coffee, and that did cost me dearly. It's Starbucks! Ok, they are all pretty much the same with respect to the product. So what sets the apart, the people! The staff, for the most part, at Starbucks is friendly and helpful. The order ahead option is very useful provided someone doesn't nab your drink before you get there. And that's not a Starbucks issue, that's a humanity issue. I am not a big coffee drinker, but I love coming to this starbucks when I can in comparison to the one closer to my job. The staff is very friendly even though there is mayhem everywhere in the mornings with all the other customers. It never fails to amaze me even when orders come out slower than I hoped sometimes, the staff here are still working as hard as possible to make sure everyone is satisfied. It does make me sad that they don't get as much praise as I believe they earned, and I have witnessed several instances of how the staff is treated by other customers. I think though that they handle every Karen with grace, and I'm happy to keep going here. I really do recommend this place for a quick sip before traveling to work. read more

The Starbucks in Athens offers the usual experience. As usual, you will experience long lines and waits. I have been able to order ahead, and they will have my order ready 75 percent of the time. They are understaffed. When I walk in during rushed times, I see three people working as fast as they can. They need more help. Whoever is ordering or preparing Cold Brew is struggling. Covid is not a valid excuse anymore for a massive company like this. Weekly, they run out of supplies. Their cold brew is out weekly. As of today, they are now four days without cold brew. Again, the employees are friendly and working hard. The quality I receive is on point 90 percent of the time. However, lack of employee, lack of correct preparation and ordering find this location unreliable. read more

It's a Starbucks. Food and coffee pretty much the same. However, at this Starbucks they are slow because they have segregated every task. The baristas only handle drinks, the cashier doesn't help anyone else even when no one is in line, and the food person only does food. I Order a coffee and unheated cookie. It took 10 minutes to get the cookie. I had to ask twice. A 2.7 rating is right for this place. The people were nice enough but their ability to provide all around good service is lacking. read more

Terrible Service from Rude Employee If I could give zero stars, I would. I showed up at the drive-thru a little after 5 AM, only to sit there waiting while no one bothered to take orders through the intercom. There were several cars behind me, all waiting for service that never came. Eventually I drove up to the window to let the staff know there were multiple customers waiting. The red-haired girl working the window couldn't have been more unprofessional or rude. Instead of apologizing for the delay or addressing the situation, she snapped at me and refused to take my order. She told me I'd have to get in the back of the line--despite the fact that I had been at the front, waiting patiently like everyone else. This employee clearly has no concept of customer service and shouldn't be working in a position that involves interacting with people. They never get our order correct. Monday I ordered a venti mocha online and there was not a drop of chocolate in the drink even though the sticker said mocha. I didn't take a sip until we were on our way to our destination - too late to turn around and get it fixed. Today I ordered a trenta iced tea in person and received a venti. Turns out that's what they entered for the order but that's not what I said and the person I was with verified that they heard me say trenta. If you have a choice, find another Starbucks location. Our breakfast food was not only "not hot" but they were cold to the touch. I really do like this location, when they're open! Why close at 3pm on a weekday. Starbucks location is conveniently located just off of I-65, so that is a big plus Prairie Travelers seeking a caffeine fix (albeit a somewhat expensive caffeine fix). Service was friendly, although I am not a huge fan of Starbucks. I am not much of a coffee drinker and I find their items are a little on the high side. All the bad comments about this location are so petty it almost makes me want to laugh. This staff is beyond friendly and I never have an issue ordering what I want. This is my halfway point from New Orleans back to my home town so I always stop for the night and hit them up in the morning. Been doing it for 3 years and they are very consistent. And they always offer my dog a pup cup without us even asking which is sweet. They have a great attitude and always make sure to my order is correct. P.S to all Karens- if a location is out of a certain ingredient you order you need to take it up with corporate, the baristas aren't making your drink while simultaneously driving their own delivery truck to the store :) read more

When we arrived at the window they gave us the wrong drinks so me and my friend went inside. The drinks and food were good But there was there this one lady so so so rude !! I asked for whip And she did not give it to me. I love to find a Starbucks when we are traveling. And this was a very good find just off the interstate. We arrived mid-afternoon so it was just in time for a tasty Holiday Latte. I ordered on my mobile app and when I arrived it was ready for me, hot ,creamy and delicious. We used drive-up as we headed out of town on an overnight stay. Service was fast and friendly and our drinks on spot.

I have stopped at this Starbucks several times when traveling through. Each time I have stopped there has been an issue with the lids on the cups not fitting and coming off the cup, while I am holding the coffee. The first time this happened I hot coffee spilled all over me! This time (today) the lid was loose and came off the cup several times, once while I was picking up the coffee, and again while I was drinking the coffee and yet again, it poured all over my shirt. This is an issue and needs to be resolved immediately. The lids do NOT fit on the cups properly. read more

I wish I could give this location a 0! In the midst of a pandemic, the safety of the customers and employees was not a consideration. A customer was allowed to stand in the store without a mask despite being asked several times to cover his face with a mask. The employees were grabbing phones through the drive thru window to scan and proceeded to handle drinks without washing their hands. Lastly, there were far too many employees behind the register to allow for safe social distancing. The manager, Kinga, was approached about these concerns, and provided an inadequate, rude response regarding her need to run a business! It seems to me running a business includes considering the safety of both your employees and customers. As a physician and front line worker, this should be done differently! read more

Went there on a Sunday morning awhile back. There was a continuous flowing line inside, but it wasn't super busy. The cashier was new and in training. So she was messing up a lot; that can be overlooked since she's new and all. What ticked me was the "seasoned" workers, whom were being quite rude to her. While we waited for our breakfast sandwich, an off-worker came in with her daughter. She was chatting with the other workers at the pick-up counter. She set her child on the counter and started to comb her hair. Ew, disgusting! It's the freaking counter where they put out coffee cups and sandwiches! I don't want freaking kids hair anywhere my drink and food! Thank goodness I already had my drink and was just waiting for the breakfast sandwich. The other workers didn't say anything. They just chatted up with her while she combed and braided the kid's hair; they were talking about the new cashier and how she messed up all morning. There were other customers in the store and around the pick-up counter as well. Very unprofessional. I didn't wait for my sandwich, which took over 15 minutes to freaking nuked up. They said one of the "ovens" broke so they were only using one. They were giving out hot sandwich to the drive-thru left to right while I waited. So I asked for refund and left. Haven't return since... The drinks (latte and black coffee) were just like any other Starbucks. read more
