I had a great first experience at Creme Brew Lait! We drove past it last night and it was so cute we had to come try it this morning. I got their limited edition mon cherri mocha and it's sweet and creamy but you can still taste the espresso, my husband got a latte with roasted hazelnut and toffee crunchy syrup and it's a little on the more bitter side (i think it's the roasted hazelnut syrup) but it's still delightful. We both got our chocolate covered espresso beans, and where in and out of the place within 10 minutes (we did order online about 5 minutes prior) I will definitely come back when i'm in the area! read more

3.5/5. I'm a sucker for drive through coffee shacks and I was in the neighborhood, so I swung through and grabbed a drink even though I'd just had dessert. This new drive through is on the corner of Wall Triana and Gillespie. There are two drive through lines. I did find that if you're trying to exit either of the drive through lines and you're turning left, against the flow of traffic, it seems especially difficult, so be careful. Not really their fault, just something to keep in mind. It's a cute little shack and I found the wait time to be reasonable. Staff were abuzz inside and on top of their work - one staff member took my order and went to prepare it and another opened the window a minute or two later just to make sure someone had taken care of me. The menu is fairly simplistic but has all the standard varieties of coffee creations, from americanos to cortados. They also do a couple of smoothies, chai, and hot chocolate. For food, they have croissant sandwiches, muffins, and bagels. I'm someone who likes a lot of syrups/flavorings in my coffee, and I generally prefer it when shops create combinations that work for me, rather than leaving it up to me -- I always feel like I'll make an icky combination. This shop does have a large list of available syrups, but only a couple of pre-crafted drinks: their crème brew lait latte and a strawberry something-or-other for Valentine's Day. I chose the former as I don't really like strawberries + chocolate or coffee. It was alright. The drink had a rich, nutty flavor and a decent level of sweetness. It usually comes with whipped cream but I chose to not take it that way this time. I was a little disappointed because I didn't get the chocolate covered espresso bean everyone in other reviews spoke about. I got it with 2% rather than whole milk; I wonder if that contributed some to the slightly over-thick texture of the drink. It was also a little gritty in some sips. My other note is that I do feel it was expensive. A 12 oz was $6.25. A 16oz of a very similar drink at my fave drive through shack is $5.50. The other drinks here (eg, mocha, a latte with only one syrup, etc) are at a slightly lower price point but still comparably higher. Still, it's nice to support local and I have certainly had much worse coffee. I'm rarely in this area, but if you find yourself around here and craving a coffee, this place is worth a try. Everyone has very different preferences when it comes to coffee, and I can definitely see this place being a perfect fit for someone. read more

This is hands-down, the best coffee place I've had in Madison and I'm pretty sure I've tried them all. The staff is very friendly and always provides amazing service. It's a nice quaint little double sided drive-through so there may be a small wait at times but they do their best to keep the line moving. I will say my latte ends up being $9-10 because they charge extra for flavoring, for alternative milk, and I also get their cold foam which is one of the best I've ever had. I looked at several "coffee" shops in the Madison area and they were very disappointing to say the least. They felt more like breakfast cafes that served coffee and that's NOT THE SAME THING as a coffee shop. THIS PLACE IS A REAL COFFEE SHOP with a wonderful cold brew. Very simple menu. This place was the CUTEST! Completely off the beaten path, but worth the find. The drive through wasn't like a commercial experience, I was able to have a whole conversation with the two baristas. I have a nut allergy so they walked me through every single one of the baked goods options. It was also my first visit so they helped me find the perfect beverage, I went with the crembrewlait latte and was not disappointed! I'd say they're actually 4.5 stars, but I round up for Yelp. This is a great drive-through coffee shop if you're ever in Madison or near the historic district. They don't have any food just but they have a great selection of drinks and a lot of latte flavor options. My husband and I love getting their affogatos and they also have good matcha. I live right by the place. As it was being built, we kept calling it the coffee hut. I like to two drive in an drive out lanes! Service is hospitable for sure and the coffee is tasty. I prefer a simple menu. I've been here three times now. I'm all about the coffee bean treat. It says something to me. There's a coffee place in NV that does this on every drink. Hot or cold. It seems that you only get them for hot coffee. I could be wrong. It is a more expensive joint, I love supporting small businesses. Had the bean on both drinks the first time. Love this coffee drive thru! We have been there several times. I have ordered their signature hot coffee, hot chai tea and different lattes. My go to is a hot vanilla & caramel latte. Sometimes I will order with whole milk but, I usually ask for almond. There is an up charge for non dairy, but so does every other coffeehouse. I love the small details they do like the milk and white chocolate coffee bean served on top of the hot drinks. They use a hard board type sticker to cover the opening and it has different faces on it!! Very clever not using plastic!! The croissant sandwiches are very good. You won't find any of that here! Not sure what to order they can help find just the right drink for you. Some say the lines are too long. Really?? What about waiting in line that backs up on hwy 72 at Hughes Rd??? This is no different. To get a great coffee takes a few minutes to create. I've waited in line, not for long and it was totally worth it! I tried the warm turkey and havarti croissant. It had the most delicious olive spread on it!!! I've had several different versions of their hot lattes, their signature drink is incredible, the chai tea hot or ice is so good and I just tried their strawberry iced chai tea yesterday and it was amazing. Normally I like a plain or dirty chai but the strawberry was really tasty! As for the beans they use, I'm not going to go into detail. It's simply a smooth not bitter bean that is delicious! The best coffee ever! You can really tell the quality of coffee beans and the care & time the baristas put into their drinks. I personally love getting a maple brown sugar latte with cinnamon powder, and I change the type of milk I get each time because they have so many alternative milk options! I got 2 of the same coffees and they tasted completely different they were both pretty bad but mine was particularly horrible. 1st of all I asked for hot lattes and they gave me cold so they had to remake them. We were the only car there but it took 20 mins to get my order. My latte was unbearable to drink it was bitter and overly sweet I had to dump it out in a parking lot. I don't particularly like the management style here. I'm in business and I know to be successful to have to be able to take criticism and apply it to make your business better. I called and told the owner about my experience and she has nothing but excuses which of you read other reviews below 5 stars you can see her excuses in the comments which I personally do mot appreciate. Also the coffee is very expensive my order was like $20. I'm all for supporting local businesses and would love to give my business to them instead of Starbucks but it's just not good.
