Study time with a hot tea.

Cool little tea spot that has a good variety of teas. The staff is friendly and there is plenty of seating. What's not to like? I enjoyed my drink ( The Kopi Cham) unsweetened. This was an excellent flavor and exactly what I was in the mood for.

New Blueberries Jubilee sweet tea. Very smooth and refreshing. Deep blueberry flavor without the typical blueberry tartness.

I've been a Piper and leaf lover with good reason ever since I first moved to Huntsville. From the time that they were just studio operating out of Lowe Mill and selling at farmers markets to now they have consistently offered nothing but high quality products and exceptional service. You can taste the love they manufacture and brew all of their tea blends with. In terms of freshness and in terms of flavor you will find no equal. Piper and leaf sets my standard for premium tea products.

I love this Piper and Leaf location! Harmony and Duncan are the absolute best and always so warm and welcoming! This is one of my favorite spots to get a little treat!

Disclaimer: this reviews compares this place to the area and not what we're used to in Atlanta. We're trying this place on vacation & it seems to be the best tea shop in town. Maybe one of the few too. I'm assuming they have little to no competition for bubble tea since they only sell it on Saturdays. They only carry boba, no other topping varieties. Their tea is sweetened after brewing so you decide sweetness level. The tea is made well, steeped here with distinct flavors. Cute flavors like pumpkin moonshine and birthday cake. This isn't a traditional bubble tea place. Especially since they were telling me that bubble tea is normally made with thai tea... But bubble tea originated in Taiwan.. I've typically seen bubble tea as black milk tea.. and I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and not think that they said it's normally made with Thai tea because it's from Taiwan Where I'm from, tea shops/bubble tea, etc, are on every street, perhaps even 2 or 3 on a street so it's very competitive. But for this area, this place is probably the best one. Tea is $4+ per cup so not a bad deal, for sure. They also sell it loosely and in satchets. They have comfy couches & chairs and enough seating for the size of the store. It's in a strip mall so plenty of parking and very bright inside if you plan to do some work.

Mix of Moonlight Meditation & Summertime Chai w/ 1.5 shots of sugar

Warning: I AM NOT A TEA PERSON. I tried a small drink, mixed with Summertime Chai & Moonlight Meditation WITH 1.5 shots of sugar. It was decent... but again, I do not like tea. I think if you ARE a tea person, you'll love this place. The atmosphere is very cute, so I would definitely come here to do homework.

Y'all need to go try this tea. Something for everyone... Even the coffee drinkers will be happy with the nitro! Harmony, Adrian, and Claire are awesome! They are just as sweet as the tea! Will be back soon!

Best coffee shop in this area , hands down. I said the same thing about another one last week, Sue me. I had not found this one yet.

Super hipster, clean, and inviting coffee shop space. Love the attention to detail in decor, fast wi-fi, and air conditioned environment. Servers were very friendly and the craft drinks are delightful. My only drawback is that a health forward coffee shop that would include a drink like echinacea should also have sugar free options along the same health conscious track. I saw that white sugar was there only option, which was kind of disappointing.

My daughter loves the tea here. Birthday Cake is her favorite. I came in town and she brought me here from the airport. She refilled her quart jar cup with Strawberry tea and I had mistletoe with less sugar. They were both delicious. The tea specialist was very friendly and let me try some of the samples. We had fun drinking our tea and catching up. The store also sells t shirts, loose tea and many cups. The only thing I would change is to put up more cozy decorations for those who stay to enjoy their tea.

I'm hooked, my favorite is the Old Fashioned Birthday Cake or the Front porch Special
    Loloma S.

I probably come here every week. I get the birthday cake tea and chocolate tea. Every interaction I've had with the employees has been pleasant. They are so helpful and so kind! Try it if you get a chance!

I LOVE Piper & Leaf!! They are amazing and I love their tea. I normally am not into tea but will try it when given the opportunity. I remember seeing Piper and Leaf set up around Huntsville and thought "ahh they are just like any other tea place.. blah blah", but then I decided to try them one day. Boy am I glad I did! They are great and I find myself coming here a lot whenever I am home. Not only do they have great tea they have a nice and friendly staff. I met one of the co-owners (the one who use to be a doctor) and he was extremely nice. Him and I conversed and he was super cool. They only reason I knew who he was, was because he mentioned the field that he was a medical doctor in (and because I read about each owner in a magazine the company hands out on the inside, is how I even knew he was the doctor). Even besides the co-owner everyone else is nice and friendly. I have tasted a lot of the teas because a lot of times they will have samples out, but my favorite and go to flavor is Orchard Peach. It is sooo good! I always get mine sweetened. It has sweet, light and fruity notes that all blend well together to help bring this tea together. I love how everything is natural and they actually use fresh ingredients then dry them to make their tea. They Harvest their own ingredients and do all the hand work and labor to get them to they state they need to produce the tea and what they call tea syrups. It's pretty cool. I love natural hard working companies who source local ingredients. They have other great flavors as well but like I mentioned above Orchard Peach is my favorite!! I also love they have a loyalty program/punch card. You can also buy a mason jar with tea in it for the first time for $10 and anytime you bring your jar back in for what they call "refills" it's only $4. You can also purchase a plastic cup for $4. However, it's worth the money to purchase a jar and pay for the $4 refills because you get more tea than you do in the small plastic cup so it's worth the initial $10. Overall, I love Piper & Leaf and love how natural and locally sourced they are. I also love they do everything in house. What I love the most is their product actually taste good! That's always important!! Haha! Definitely try them if you are in the area and get a chance! I love their tea and it won't disappoint.

Sarah makes THE best drinks! I'm never disappointed when she's around. Also, can't go wrong with any of the choices, everything here is absolutely delectable. Sarah, thank you for always making the best summertime chai frother!!! P.S. Give Sarah a raise, please!

I walked in a little past 1pm, having studied the chalkboard outside with a delightful-sounding selection of spring specials. As I'm ordering, the barista and I alike see another group walk in. And another. And another-- I'm not seeing anyone else in the rather small physical establishment, and as a former barista am beginning to sweat a bit for this Greenroom employee and all of the orders he is about to have to deal with, seemingly by himself (cue the cheerful chime announcing more customers, and more customers). As I wait for my order, grateful to be the first in this long line, I sit to casually read a book and take my opportunity to observe my fellow patrons of this fine little spot. I hear the barista asking customers if they're okay with waiting, and he begins to ask customers if they're okay with waiting a minute for their orders. I'm content, as I have no urgent arrangements, and the now plastic-gloved barista comes up to me, informing me that they have no lime to garnish the avocado toast I've ordered and asking if that was okay. I assert as much and he returns to the line; I think to myself that he could have saved the time and not told me and I wouldn't have known the difference, but I'm pleased with his attention to detail. I get my to-go box of avocado toast with an egg and am pleased to open it and try a bite. I feel that it could have done with red pepper flakes (my favorite), but the everything bagel seasoning added a nice texture and the overall flavor profile was delightfully savory. As for my drink, which came later, it was the Good Riddance: a vanilla cold brew with lime pie cold foam (which lived up to the name tremendously). It also had what I believe to be graham cracker or pie crust crumbles on the top that were delightful! The drink was delicious and perfect for the spring weather. I sit upstairs as I always do, but specifically on the patio where I can see all of MidCity and the surrounding businesses. There's nonintrusive and enjoyable music presumably coming from the Camp itself? After an hour or so of enjoying my spoils, I return to the counter below to see if the barista is still there now that the rush is over. He is now accompanied by another coworker, blessedly, and I learn that his name is Caleb. We chat for a few moments and I introduce myself before leaving, but not before taking another picture of all the event calendars for the week and month. Now I'm positively fueled for my afternoon and grateful for the relaxed atmosphere. (Thanks for reading this far if you did, and shoutout again to Caleb for doing his job tremendously! He informed me that he enjoys a good rush of customers, and I replied that I would have cried to have been in the situation that he handled with great poise and dedication. The great service alongside the excellent product left me wanting to return quickly!)

I've been wanting to visit since they first opened and have been anxiously watching their social media for coverage of the beautiful dishes and drinks, looking forward for my chance to try their food. But this first visit did not at all live up to the hype or my expectations. I came on a Thursday about three weeks ago after my annual doctor's visit. It was around 11:15 when I arrived. Note this restaurant is in the bustling Providence area. It's an attractive and somewhat upscale shopping and dining destination and parking can be a bit of a challenge. I found the parking lot of a nearby hotel that had ample spots, so I took one of those and marched over. It did look like there was a parking garage not too far away. Anyway, the restaurant was about 1/3 full when I arrived. The hostess asked if it was just me, which I confirmed. She asked if I was okay to sit at the bar. My preference would honestly have been a table or booth, even a two top, but I told her whatever was easiest for her was okay with me, and so to the bar I went. The bartender took my order and brought my food and mostly left me alone, which was also more my preference. He was nice enough in our interactions and food was served in a timely manner. After I ordered is when things started to go downhill. First, I asked a waitress where the restroom was and set off for a visit. Despite it being earlyish in the morning, one stall was already filthy enough I didn't want to use it, and the other one was out of toilet paper. Fortunately I noticed before using it! I came back to my seat and was served water in a carafe. It wasn't particularly cold but the bigger problem than that was that it smelled like dirty dishwater when I poured it in my cup. Not sure if my glass was still dirty or the water itself was, but suffice to say, it wasn't pleasant. Next, my food arrived. I ordered the breakfast burrito with a side of fries. Others have commented negatively on the pricing here, but my experience was slightly different. I ultimately wound up being charged for just the entree. The description for the burrito does not indicate it comes with a side. I assumed I'd pay for the burrito + side, which was going to be ~$25. THAT is a price tag I'd say is too high, but I was ultimately charged for just the entree, which was ~$16. I still think that's a bit much for the quality and size of the food I was served, but I can see how it would be acceptable under better conditions. That said, I'm not sure if the burrito does come with a side that's included in the price OR if they just forgot to charge me for a side. Anyway...the food. The fries were the best part at exactly average. They looked pretty and were crispy enough. It was a pretty paltry serving even for the price I was charged; it would've been a VERY paltry serving at the $9 (!!!) a side of fries was listed as on their menu at time of visit. Ultimately though, my main grievance is with the burrito. It needed work in about every aspect. It was put together poorly, with almost all bites I took very uneven in terms of filling, and watery sauce dribbling out before I even took my first nibble. I did ask for no avocado, but even with that in mind, I thought the amount the burrito was filled was pretty disappointing - it was tiny and heavy on the tortilla. My first few bites were only of egg and a few bacon bits - no sign of cheese, tater tots, green onions, or chipotle aioli to be found. The eggs badly needed salt or really any flavoring at all. Eventually, several more bites in, I discovered some cheese and some tater tots, but even then, the flavor-meter was pitifully low -- idk how you make a tater tot not salty enough, but these surely weren't. For a while I was convinced that they'd put some sort of very strange glaze on the bacon because it started tasing oddly sweet (à la candied bacon), but I eventually could only come to the conclusion it was the very watery, very pale chipotle aioli I was tasting. I was expecting that to be slightly spicy and definitely thicker/more mayonnaise-y, but given the listed ingredients, that's the only thing it could've been unless something went very wrong in the kitchen and some other sauce was put on my burrito. The one slightly saving grace was the green salsa, which added heat, if not a ton of flavor, to the dish. I am both mad and sad to say that I have had Taco Bell breakfast burritos that beat this one by a country mile. I really like the design and interior of this place and the menu looks promising. The service was fine. People whose opinions on food I respect have lovely things to say about Loona's dishes. I can only assume/hope my first experience was a very odd one-off. I'd be willing to try again some time in the future, but for now, this was not at all what I was hoping for from a visit.
