What the F... Has starbucks gone crazy? I go to Starbucks every day to study, read and chat with friends and had no issues. Long story short, went to this one just to kill time. First, on a hot day, I ask for cup of water but they said no cause I needed order something. Okay fine, but now as I sit there just catching up on work, one of workers came up to me and kicked me out... explaining that "since I didn't buy anything I can't be there, which is their new policy" I have been to other Starbucks and they all been chill and understanding. I get the policy but that is just outrageous, I won't be going there anymore... now it explains why they have poor reviews. I'm glad we have a Starbucks in Hayes by the point that is actually worth going too... and which is better. read more

Amazing service! The staff are kind, welcoming, and precise. I've never had a bad drink here in the 6 years I've been coming here. Even as baristas have come and gone, the quality's remained incredible. The cafe area has always been clean and welcoming: it looks as fresh as it was when it was renovated three or so years ago. I order using my app so the order is the same no matter which Starbucks I visit. But the Gloucester location consistently gets it wrong. The coffee tastes burned somehow and it is watered down. I have mentioned it to the manager a couple times but they don't seem to care. read more

Beyond livid.. Waited over 25 minutes .. And was blocked in so could not leave... So after wasting a quarter tank of gas, its finally my turn I pull up seeing my half melted frappes WITH whip cream .. When I specifically asked for no... Then when I tell the lady this she says OK closes window I peek threw window and she picks a spoon off counter ( unsanitary) and begins to spoon off whip cream. . No ma'am that is not company policy. So I don't pay for them and leave to call manager..which they take 4 minutes to answer phone.. And then the manager makes rude comments like " what do you want me to do about it " and " we can't help that we are busy. She does absolutely nothing to help. Frequently here however, I came inside tonight to utilize the wonderful tea and free WiFi to study. It's a quiet Wednesday night and it's not too busy. The manager has checked on me several times and even offered me a slice of red velvet cake for free. Atmosphere is amazing. Music is diverse and lights are dim- perfect for relaxing. Meeting with friends. Meetings period. Study, etc. AM is normally off the charts busy but overall a good store. Staff is friendly and very patient. read more

Hands down, the slowest Starbucks drive through I have ever been in. We were in VA from Pennsylvania for the weekend and used this Starbucks twice. We wanted to give it another chance the second time. Both times it was awfully slow. First time it was 25-30 minutes from start to finish, second time it was about 20-25 minutes. read more

The employees at this location are nice enough, but the service is slow and they never fail to get my order wrong. When I have been bold enough to actually mention it, they reply with looks of exasperation and rude or sarcastic responses. I am a local Starbucks patron, but I have had it with this location. They again today got my order wrong and rather than deal with their attitudes I just handed it back and said you can keep this, I don't want it. I've had it. I do not enjoy giving negative reviews but this one was warranted. Nor did I ever think that I would be giving a Yelp review of a Starbucks. Went to this Starbucks today as I was passing through the area for work, got a brewed coffee and a donut and hit the road. Coffee was luke warm at best and obviously old, and the donut was so cold and tough it was evident that it was either recently taken out of the freezer, or improperly stored and should have been disposed of. A waste of $5 since I didn't notice until I was on the road, and both items were completely inedible. As much as I travel, like many of you, it is rare to have a bad experience at a Starbucks since they are very consistent, but this place did it. I will stick to the Wawa or Dunkin next time I'm driving through! read more

So I've tried this location more than once. Each time, they are slow and my order is tasteless or near as if they don't put the specified number of flavor pumps into my drink. Last visit, it was just milk and espresso and not the white mocha I ordered. Today, it was white hot chocolate and it was cold and missing flavor. I just can't do this location anymore. We went through the drive thru and placed our order at 4:17 pm, waited 10 minutes in line to get to the window and then waited 10minutes at the window to get our drinks that were sitting on the counter ready when we pulled up to the window. we had to microwave the coffee after we got it bc it was cold. over 20 minutes in line to pay $14 for 3 drinks one of which was cold. read more

I come to this Starbucks about 5 days a week for coffee and normally experience pleasant and good service our drinks are typically good except that sometimes our iced shaken espressos are 1/4 empty and we can tell that sometimes almond milk isn't used and we pay extra for it because we are lactose intolerant. I never complain I work as a waitress I get the service industry however today I am extremely disappointed in how rude a young girl was to me today and cannot ignore it. My friend mobile ordered and our prepare time was 3 we got into the drive through and there were no cars and pulled up the window at 2:58 where a blonde girl with a striped shirt on preceded to speak to me in a disrespectful tone because we didn't give the 15 minute prep time while handing us our drinks that were made and in the process of giving us attitude forgot our food because she just walked away. I have waited in the line for OVER 10 minutes on numerous occasions with only one or two people in front of me. I think it's ridiculous to wait that long for a coffee. I can't be the only one?!? Today I went to Starbucks with 2friends for coffee.5-530 pm. Girl at register was helpful. But--- when she was making our drinks, my friend asked another worker if there were any more cookies- replied " I don't know- didn't check- and started texting on her phone. There was no cream or napkins available - we had to ask for them- they are usually out on the serving counter- employees thought it was play time- throwing coffee lids across the counter at each other- At least they threw the lids in the trash- how can management allow such rude, childish behavior in a business. The employees are pleasant, drinks are well made and prepared in timely manner, otherwise we would not be driving over 80 miles round trip to this location. I come to this location fairly twice a day. Once in the morning and once at our break-time for our staff 6 days a week and then even usually once on my day off. I came through the drive thru a few days ago and Lexis couldn't get my order straight so I had to come in. The guy at the register (with green hair), who was super nice, I see all the time there and gives great customer service took my order and got it straight. When I got to the car I realized I forgot one of my coworkers drinks. I didn't have time to go back in so we had to run through the drive thru. I got to the window and Lexis rudely rolled her eyes smirked and then turned to the girl making the drinks and said, "She's backkk!", as rude as possible. Then a different person came to take my money. I know this is a chain company and they don't have to worry about their business going under because their not a mom and pop store so Lexis feels she can treat customers how ever she feels. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! On Main St. The cupcake place serves coffee and Bangkok Noi does cappuccinos and expresso's so I will no longer be taking my business or my coworkers business to this location. I just left this Starbucks. I ordered a Venti Double Chocolate Chip no coffee. First, the wait was forever and there were not a lot of cars in the drive thru. I understood why the wait was so long when I got up to the window. The person at the window did not know what she was doing. She tried to give me a drink that had whip cream, etc. running down the side. I am not talking about a little stream. It was covering half the cup. I told her that I was not taking the drink in that condition. So she takes a spoon off the counter and plucks the whip topping off of the drink and pours into another cup and returns to me. This was fine. You could hear two of the other servers fussing with each other on the inside. I didn't start drinking my drink until I was about 10 minutes away and it had coffee in it. Really!!!!! I wish one could leave less than one star. The other Starbucks in Gloucester are not like this one. The service is always poor here. Someone from corporate needs to go in and investigate this Starbucks and fix the issues. read more
