Great ice cream in a casual, relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg. It is especially refreshing during the high summer season. Service with a smile is always worth a stop! Highly recommend!! read more

If I could give one star I would. Typically, I don't like to write reviews as such unless it's needed. Ambiance: Fair. Nothing spectacular. The floor was sticky and it was quiet. There were two families inside and one outside. Service: one person did welcome us but I think we came in the midst of a shift change. It seemed that everyone was confused. Food: We ended up leaving. The prices are ridiculous! One family...the father ended up getting ice cream for his family members (at least 6 other people) and he did t get any because of the prices. The manager should've given him a free cone (he spent over $60.00!!). We ended up leaving and going just up the road. I guess they have to charge this much because of the location and rent. I understand business, but it's just too much. Our total for two would've been over $13.00 a piece for a sundae that was in a small cup. Again, business is business but it's just too much. My advice is to offer on-sight deals, maybe an ice cream truck with specials, etc. make it worth the experience. read more

$8.00 for a small sugar cone, that's kinda high even in these crazy times,I mean who locally can afford that? You'd get more if you bought a pint of B&J's at grocery.. Let's be real about this!!! read more

We went because my husband said, "I want outlet discounted ice cream." HAHA. Yes, we know it's not priced as a sale. We are just some jokesters. I was expecting a long wait as it was Saturday and it was 92 degrees out. Pricing was reasonable. $25 for four smalls, one in a cone and three in a dish. The one in the cone was sorbet, and one out of three in a dish was lemonade sorbet. We also tipped. Everything was great.'my son's triple Carmel something or other was delicious. His had ribbons of caramel running through it. Customer service was great. They were speedy in there. Everyone had a mask on which is appreciated when working food during this Covid times. They do have a few tables inside and outside if you do not want to walk around and eat your ice cream. read more

Ben & Jerry’s - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Williamsburg, Virginia

Great spot with really good sundaes. The staff were also really helpful letting us customize everything we wanted in each sundae

This Ben & Jerry's is located in the Williamsburg Premium Outlets and offers a nice reprieve from the Virginia heat while shopping. But they do need to make some changes -- namely: handle the customer line in a more efficient manner. It was at least a 10-15 minute wait to get served, which was a little excessive for a small place, average line length, and basic items. It's not that hard to scoop ice cream. And, from the other reviews here, it looks like it wasn't a one-time occurrence. I ordered a cup of the sweet cream and cookies, and it was delicious and held to typical standards for the brand. It's nice they offer some seating options and water. They did do a good job cleaning tables after each party left, so that part of the work flow was working. I'd return but it wouldn't be the top of my list. Next time I think I'd prefer to check out Williamsburg's local creamery options. read more

When I found out they had cookie dough Vegan ice cream I couldn't be happier!!!! And the best part.. it was so yummy.... dairy free and good on top of that???? You cant beat that. I am a new fan of BNJ now.... I am going to look for this ice cream flavor in the grocery store now. Shout out to Ben & Jerry's for using wooden spoons! Much better than plastic that clutters up landfills! read more

The ice cream was good l. Service is ok. The problem is when we come back we walked in they'd say no dogs because there was a fight and we didn't know so we walked in when we about to order they said no dogs they had attitude they n her voice and like damn sorry we didn't know we told them put sign next time so we know 2 stars read more

Stopped by for some quick ice cream when it got too hot shopping! Quick and fast service, and I love how they use paper straws and wooden ice cream spoons! First place I've ever seen these being used :) read more

Visited the store at the Williamsburg Outlet Mall off Richmond Rd 12-11-2021, for me I thought the ice cream was a little pricey for the small amount of hand scooped ice cream I was given, the scoops are very small compared to the ones I have seen in other ice cream places over the summer. I payed the money, but I don't think I would go there again. They got 3 stars because the ice cream was good. read more

Ice cream was delicious, as all Ben & Jerry's ice cream is! I took away a star because this location was very slow. The line got long because of how slow the employees were moving. They didn't seem to have a flowing process. read more

This location gets 3 stars because Ben & Jerry's ice cream is delicious. But the service is pretty bad. I paid over $6 for what amounted to a scoop and a half of ice cream. I ordered 2 scoops and for that price, didn't think the girl would be so stingy. She acted like I was taking her own personal ice cream supply. When I asked to sample a flavor, she acted like she couldn't be bothered to stick her arm over the counter so I had to reach so far to grab it, my arm pit was touching the glass over the counter! And this place is too cheap to wrap the waffle cones in actual paper wrappers. They use napkins that are scotch taped closed! read more

Came in *just* before closing time with a 10 year old gift certificate we just hadn't been able to use because we don't live anywhere near a Ben & Jerry's. But despite the time on the clock, the gal helpfully described the ingredients in several flavors and we made our choices. And they honored our ancient gift certificate. To make ourselves more obnoxious customers, we even asked the gal to double check that she applied the full gift certificate amount to our tab and she revealed that she had in fact comped us a little more than the $5 certificate to cover the cost of a small cup of Cherry Garcia (which was delish). So this is all to say that the customer service here was fantastic. The ice cream itself was just what I expect from Ben & Jerry's. No surprises. You can buy it here or in the frozen foods section of your store, and you know it tastes good. There are also sorbets and smoothies here, though we didn't try them. Overall, I feel good about B & J's as a company and the customer service here makes me feel good about visiting their actual stores, too. Bravo! read more

Ben and Jerry's brownie sundae is the BEST kept secret of chain ice cream restaurants PERIOD. It is soooo so good. It is so annoying that we don't have one in Richmond! The ice cream is wonderful, the brownies are so moist and warm. It's such a delicious, decadent treat that I look forward to whenever I'm in the area! read more

No photos, I ate too fast! Being a chain, and having all the ice cream flavors in stores, you already know exactly what you're getting when you order ice cream from BJs. That being said, that doesn't stop me from going back for more! They seemed short staffed and it was busy but I believe it was due to the fact that it was Mother's Day and the outlets were packed. I ordered 2 smalls and the employee packed the cups. We enjoyed the ice cream in our cars on a hot day. It was great! read more

Love the ice cream here but not the price. I don't understand how one scoop of ice cream in a small cup, and two orders 2 scoops of ice cream in a regular waffle bowl and a bottle of water added up to $30.00!!? Yikes! read more

Who doesn't like some cold ice cream when it is hot and your at the outlet shops in Williamsburg. Great place to take a break after being a pack mule all day for the wife. You know that favorite flavor in a cone or a nice sudae will do the trick. While you are enjoying that Ice cream you get rest them dogs (feet) and your back. The ice cream was excellent, service was not. We had 2 $10 gift cards. After we all had our ice cream ordered and some of us were already eating my husband went to pay. He was told their gift card reader wasn't working so we couldn't use our gift cards. What??? The manager decided she would give us $5 off our bill, but wouldn't call to verify the gift cards were active and had $20 on them. Poor customer service. I'm also not clear on how sanitary it is for the workers to be carrying a baby around while making waffle cones and walking around the food counters - or safe for the baby to be carried by a hot waffle iron. Will not return to this location. Edited: contacted by store manager stating she would be sending me free merchandise and gift cards to makeup for the bad experience. A month later....still waiting. read more

Hot Fudge Sunday with Strawberry, Caramel and Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream... YASSS! We were the last customers of the night and we were greeted with a smile and great service. Doing back to school shopping and thought we would treat the girls to some ice cream since it was hot Horrible long line one person doing it all while another man just talking It was roasting hot in the store itself and it didn't seem to bother either of them the line of customers went out the door. Still went slow and one person working with 3 in the store. Terrible customer service Would NOT recommend read more

First and foremost, Kristin is amazing. My family and I (4 people total) walked in 12 minutes before closing. She was not upset or unpleasant to work with while trying different flavors before placing our final orders. We awesome custom service skills were incredible and very appreciated. She inquired if we were on vacation and suggested we take spoons since our hotel may not offer them in our room. Thanks for a wonderful 12 minute experience Kristin! read more

Ben & Jerry's is that hippie best friend you had in high school but, then you went to college and he went "on tour" with that band you guys sometime listened to. Fast forward 30 years, bro is killing it selling bio-diesel and "snacks" in CO. You run into each other, you hang out, he offers you a job, you become best friends again and life is sweet. This ice cream is that sweet story in a cup. So go there and eat it. read more

This location is filthy and understaffed. On a weekend with 100+ degree temps, you would think the place could be busy and plan for that. After waiting 15 minutes in line to order, the lady helping us could not of been any less friendly if she tried. My 5 year old asked for what ever flavor was close to rocky road, which clearly offended her that we weren't familiar with the Ben & Jerry's flavors. The place was so hot inside that my ice cream was half melted by the time I sat at the table. Guess that wasn't as bad as swatting the flies away while trying to slurp down melted ice cream. read more

Service was quick and friendly, and I have no qualms with the establishment itself. The employees were wonderful and the shop has a great ambiance. However, the ice cream was truly mediocre. This was my first time having Ben and Jerry's ice cream, and it will also be my last. I don't understand why it was so expensive--a little over $5 for one scoop--when the ice cream wasn't even high quality. Maybe I've been spoiled by ice cream in France, which actually tastes like the flavor you order, but the ice cream here was just...cold ice cream. The strawberry I ordered had absolutely no strawberry flavor--I've bought store-brand ice cream from France that was far tastier--though at least the vanilla that my dad ordered had the faintest hint of vanilla. Again, I have nothing against the store or its employees, but I will definitely never be eating Ben and Jerry's again. read more

The ice cream here was amazing and the service we had from the older woman was fantastic. She was kind and showed great patience since I had no idea what I wanted off the menu! Normally I wouldn't have stopped during this time but I felt bad she was alone in the shop and wanted to provide her with a bit of tip. Honestly very surprised this non-essential food business is open during this time and feel bad for the employees at risk with this virus.. sending them healthy blessings if they have to continue working. read more

Worst customer service ever. The employee was rude, hurried us through trying to order, and was the most unfriendly person I've ever had wait on me. My husband asked for a smoothie, before the server started making it she asked if anyone else wanted a smoothie. When my daughter asked for one, the server was obviously upset and she knocked around the blender as she had to clean it and start another one. It was apparent she hates her job. I was so upset by her demeanor that I didn't order anything. Don't waste your money go to McDonalds and get a $1 sundae. For a company that prides itself on quality it doesn't show in this store. read more

For this place to be at the outlets I'm surprised it's so rundown. The restroom wast disgusting! The booths were dirty and the floor looked as though it needed a serious cleaning. I promised my son some ice cream after shopping. He got chocolate in a sugar cone and I got coconut in a waffle cone. We sat directly across from the young man making waffle cones. I watched him continuously touch the waffle cones with bare hands and the lady scooping ice cream war no gloves either. My sons ice cream tasted a little freezer burnt. This place needs to be looked at by the health department. There is NO WAY I'd ever go back in there. read more

The store didn't feel completely clean. My soft-serve cone, while not what Ben & Jerry's is known for, was icky. It seemed like the mix hadn't been in the mixer long enough and the ice cream didn't hold its shape in the cone. The staff confused our daughter's order, giving her a kid cup size when she's 17 because she asked for a single scoop instead of a small. Even if she wasn't clear, they should have asked. And, really, we support Ben and Jerry's political stances and environmentalist philosophy. What are they doing in an outlet mall? Just askin'? read more

Terrible customer service. The main person who works there, an older woman who always wears her hair in a braid and must be the owner, looks very unhappy to be there. The first time I went in this summer with my family, she corrected my children, who couldn't decide on a flavor immediately, and I was so embarrassed/uncomfortable after that, we skipped the ice cream and walked out. The next day I still had a craving for ice cream so I decided to leave the kids at home and go back with my dad and brother. At 9:01pm she said, "guys, I've got to kick you out." How unprofessional. She could have just locked the door so no new customers could come in, and let us eat our overpriced ice cream inside. Or at the very least, said it differently. It's ridiculous that an ice cream shop closes at 9pm during the summer. Disappointing... Should go to the Haagen Daz counter in the General Store instead. read more

I love Ben & Jerry's ice cream in the grocery store but I won't be returning to this storefront. As other reviewers have stated, there was only one person manning both serving ice cream and the register. This should have been fine, but the service he provided was poor--slow and unenthusiastic. I admit, I'm one of those people who needs to try all the flavors before I make a decision, but it took the guy so long to just get one sample I gave up. Man am I sorry I did! I chose what I thought was a safe bet, cookies & cream, and it was terrible! The cookies in the ice cream seemed stale and everything tasted like freezer, not delicious cookies & cream. To top it all off, the two small waffle cones we ordered cost over $14--totally not worth it. read more

When it's hot and humid in Virginia, Ben and Jerry's to the rescue. In the middle of the outlets. If you get stuck "shopping", you earned your Ben and Jerry's. It went down like a cold beer but it was ice cream. It also gives you an extra sugar rush to make it the distance. It has the usual variety of flavors you would expect from a Ben and Jerry's. Worst Ice cream experience ever. I didn't think that was possible, I mean it's ice cream right. It was the hottest weekend in the world and the ice cream place had the worst air conditioning. We thought two shakes (which ended up costing over 13 dollars after tax) would cool us off. I don't get it. How do shakes come out warm? We were sorely disappointed and had to go to Dairy Queen the next day to get our ice cream fix. Which by the way was a better experience all around, good air conditioning, friendly people, and less expensive ice cream. And it was cold, can you imagine that? We will not return. read more
