When entering, I'm the beneficiary of multiple greetings of, "Jeff!" Their team members, i.e., Mark, Balti, Sheri, Zam, Ray, Hazel, Chocka, Karen, Z and others are attentive and friendly. First the let's talk about the store! I've been to a lot of Starbucks like a lot. This has to be one of the cleanest stores I've seen. Service was quick and painless. The employees were helpful and knowledgeable. They also seems to have a lot of regulars who are known by their name. That speaks volumes about the staff and customers connection. I have come here on two separate occasions, which both occasions were for a meeting. Both of those visits I lucked up because I walked into this location during ghost town hours, but you can still hear the social butterflies socializing away, plus the baristas mixing up those dranks, as like many other Starbucks locations worldwide. Prior to walking into this location all I could think about was that Starbucks in Philadelphia and the impact it made worldwide. As an African American male I do have that suspicion because I have not walked into a Starbucks location in a while, but I'am well aware that our Starbucks locations in Chicago/Chicagoland are ran totally different than that location in Philadelphia, thankfully! In order to eliminate that suspicious feeling completely I went on and purchased a drink while waiting to conducting my meeting with a coworker. As for my purchase I purchased a cafe mocha, which is one of my regular choices along with white chocolate mocha, flat white, or the cinnamon dolce latte, which all geek me up the entire day, and for that I thank you dearly Starbucks. The girl who took my order was perfectly nice. The reason I felt I needed to write this review is because of the manager chick who's currently in charge of this location on this lovely Saturday afternoon. She was out on the floor, barking orders at all of the workers, and I mean BARKING. She was so loudly telling the workers what to do that I couldn't hold a normal volumed convo. Aren't these kinds of convos supposed to be happening in the back room somewhere? Or anywhere besides where customers are trying to order drinks? It seems extremely unprofessional and not okay in my book. Nobody wants to hear that when trying to get some much needed coffee. I am unsatisfied. I walked in expecting to use my credit card after I took time to decide what I wanted. And I get a response of "our credit card machine isn't working." Why don't they have a sign on the door? Why don't they tell us before we order? I EVEN had my credit card in my hand which he could obviously see. I walked out in disappointment. read more

Great location. Small space. Always fighting for a seat, inside and outside. But this store's biggest downfall? The less than impressive service. Every time I've been here, I feel like the place is being run by a bunch of half-wit teenagers who are more interested in talking about what they did with their friends last night than doing their job. I get it. I've done my time working for Starbucks. You try to find ways to entertain yourself and sometimes lose track of what's important. Like helping the customer. But this is a repeat offense on behalf of this specific location. The last time I was here was 7 months ago in February. It was closing time and there were two young guys working behind the counter when all of a sudden one of them shouts that they were closing and everyone had to leave. I was this close to calling up Partner Resources to have them reprimanded. The bathroom was also dirty and looked liked no one had checked on it all day. I drink a tall Americano (black) every day and have been for the last 4 years. Three times now, out of the 15 times I've been to this location, the Americano tastes like water, with a splash of espresso. My best guess is that they are mistakenly using 1 shot, rather than 2, of espresso. I returned today with two incorrectly made tall Americanos (took them home before trying) and the barista looked at me like I was an idiot and said "oh trust me, there are two shots in there," not even questioning for a heartbeat whether they could have made it wrong. When I asked for a refund, she scoffed like I was asking for handouts. I want consistent, high-quality coffee -- if I wanted to scam you out of a few bucks, I would have drank the watered down abominations first, not return them. This location needs to be audited by SBUX. They have quality and attitude problems. read more

This morning bought 2 venti iced guavas with lemonade and sweetener. The first sip was really gross tasted really bitter I guess they forgot to add the lemonade and whatever they add to make it good. Just called in spoke to a supervisor who was no help kept on stalling over the phone asked to speak to a manager said no. Asking me if I had a Receipt which never had I ever received a receipt from Starbucks! Or any Starbucks I've been to. I said I can bring my debit card to show the transaction said no. I frequent this Starbucks since I live nearby. Recently I noticed almost everyone sitting inside are not wearing masks and the place was full. I understand that you can't do it when you're eating or drinking but some people are either just studying with friends or chatting. Some of the baristas talk to each other with their masks pulled under their chin and would pull them up when a customer approaches. Our numbers are getting higher and I feel that they should do better on implementing covid measures. read more

For a Starbucks this busy in a suburban area, these guys take care to make drinks quickly and efficiently. They are almost always created perfectly. Most of the staff are friendly and do not seem miserable while they are at work! So that is always a plus... Mobile orders are also made quickly and usually by the time I find a parking spot, my order is made and waiting for me. read more

Hmmm...what's up with this location? Every time I stop in, I kid you not, there is no place to sit and not one employee who seems happy to be there. It's a convenient and necessary stop while in The Glen, but the energy is all wrong...perhaps the staff isn't drinking enough coffee? They could all use a friendly buzz in there. The coffees they make in this store taste different (in a bad way) comparing to other locations. For instance, I recently ordered Americano with steam half to half. Worst Starbucks ever! 1 star is being generous! I will never come here again. Waited well over 10 mins for a grande iced drink, and they didn't even make it right. When I said "excuse me, I would like whipped cream as ordered", the man practically threw it at me. Horrible, absolutely horrible customer service, wait time, and just overall bad. At no point did the cashier thank me either. Starbucks employees generally are very nice, but huge FAIL here!!! Would never have expected that in the Glen, wish I came to Yelp to see the reviews before wasting my money. Oh and let me add my drink sucked!!! By far the worst Starbucks I have been to. The store layout is poorly designed. In the winter every single time someone opens the door frigid air enters the small room and everyone inside freezes to death. There is no strategic seat to escape that freezing blast of air. But the worst part at this specific location is the service. These baristas don't seem to be properly trained: my latte was cold instead of piping hot. I ordered oatmeal and the directions for preparation were obviously not followed: too much water added and again lukewarm instead of hot making it a disgusting watery uncooked mixture. So my Yelpers can tell Ive been to quite a few Starbucks around the states and theres something not quite right about this one...... the employees seem to always be kind of upset, not sure if its the area or if they hate their customers and the drinks they're making. Ive been here a handful of times and only the other day did I get a pleasant vibe from one of their baristas. And it was the FIRST TIME I did not, DID NOT, throw away my drink from them.
