Reviewing the location and service since full-service Starbucks are, well, you know what to expect. The cold and rainy day when we visited also happened to be a Florida regional high school cross country meet for girls and boys. So, in part, it accounts for the busyness on that day. We stopped in after the meet and found the drive-through extending out of the one main entrance on W Newberry Rd, headed east. Opting to go in the mall entrance, the small parking lot was inaccessible due to the drive through line. So we parked a short distance away in front of the movie theater. The staff working that days was great - they were greeting everyone with kindness and genuine helpfulness and working hard to fulfill the backlog of orders. My hot mocha latte hot the spot in the cold weather and I know I'd stop in again if ever in the area and needing a coffee just a few blocks off of I-75.

    Label for my cup.

Ordered a Venti PSL for the second time from this location and my cup shows up 3/4 filled again. The only response that we get from Starbucks is "oh there is nothing we can do for you."

This is a great Starbucks if you are coming from UF or just passing by I-75 and need caffeine fix. The barista's here make excellent drinks. Just be warned, the traffic at this location is insane during their busy hours and your wait might be 25+ minutes. The drive thru can be completely full and there may not be anyway to park, so people park behind cars in the parking lot, blocking drivers in. I'd recommend parking in the rear to prevent being blocked in. Overall, this is a great location. It looks like this location used to be a bank, as the drive thru looks like it used to be for making deposits/withdraws.... [Review #369] (15th Review of 2016)

This is the Starbucks that is on my route to work, so I stop here the most. This is the only reason I come here. I use the mobile app to order because this location is so busy. About 40% of the time my order is wrong, cold, or half of it isn't there. The baristas have to deal with mobile orders, drive-thru, and walk-ins, but the failure rate here is too high for me to give this place 3 stars. It honestly deserves 2.5. The only thing this location has going for it is a large supply of cute cake pops that are always available.

The matcha pop up is with Hue Matcha where they are showcasing some amazing matcha drink offerings. While it's not a full service offerings, I do love that from 8am - 12pm you can still stop into Resident to meet up with friends or get some remote work done. I had my eye on the banana pudding matcha latte with oat milk this morning. They were also offering blueberry matcha scones for $6 that looked so delicious. I did enjoy watching them whisk the matcha and prepare the drinks to order. The matcha was very good and not too earthy. There was a subtle sweetness to it that was simple but good. The cold foam with the Nilla wafer definitely gave that banana pudding feel to it. I also would have preferred the original one just because the quality of matcha was so good. However, I love the simplicity of this pop up and hope that Wyatt's and Resident implement this as a regular pop up or sell this matcha in their store. I'm looking forward to stopping by next Monday!

Their cold brew is definitely one of the best, creamiest cold brews I've ever had. It almost doesn't need milk it is so smooth with such a good flavor profile. I would highly recommend trying this if you are into cold coffees. I still need to try some of their syrups, but I am most intrigued by their sugar free cold foams. For the food, I've really enjoyed their croissants. Surprisingly fresh, buttery, and flakey, they won't disappoint. And heated up, game changer!! The chocolate one is super tasty and pairs perfectly with a coffee. All in all, I think Foxtail is a wonderful coffee shop in Gainesville. I'm so happy they opened one in midtown as I will definitely be frequented it more. Cannot wait to explore more of the menu!

They also have outdoor seating on the patio out front. Concord Coffee offers a nice selection of drinks with unique syrups, etc. Although I didn't order coffee this time, I would be willing to try it in the future! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Their pastry case is limited and I believe they get their baked goods from somewhere local. I wasn't sure what to get and the worker recommended any of their pastries, as opposed to their bagels, as they were delivered fresh today. I ended up ordering the cinnamon roll, she heated it up and that took about 5 minutes. The cinnamon roll itself wasn't anything super special. The dough reminded me more of that of a croissant due to its flakier consistency. The glaze on top was light and the cinnamon inside was underwhelming. I still didn't have a problem with it until I reached the center. I noticed the center wasn't fully heated up and even felt slightly cold. But my biggest issue was the fact that the dough in the center was very much raw. It was not cooked/baked through at all. Disappointing to say the least. I would not return for a pastry or baked good, as I believe you can find better ones around the area for a better price. But I would return to try the coffee. Overall, I think Concord Coffee is a super cute coffee shop located in midtown. The staff is really sweet and helpful as well. I thought the inside was clean and I appreciated the decor. With that that being said, I would stick to beverages as opposed to their food items. My cinnamon roll was anything but special, I feel like one from Publix would have left me more satisfied. By biggest issue was definitely the fact that it wasn't baked through and raw in the center. I will get around to trying their coffee at some point in the future.
