The service at the store is great! Quick drive thru and mobile ordering. The morning crew makes GREAT coffee and never messes up. The afternoon crew does not shake their refreshers and you can absolutely tell. The proportions are off and the bottom is warm. Otherwise great store and the inside is cute and clean. Time and time again this location fails to deliver on the brand they represent. Isa and her coworkers were snickering making fun of Abby while standing behind her as they were waiting by the drive thru section. Not to mention, as drive thru orders were coming in they laughed at all the customers who were placing orders. Not sure what Starbucks likes to do with situations like this but it isn't a good look when your location runs on customers and the job itself is to provide customer service. The worst service I've ever received at any establishment. The woman at the drive through, who is the MANAGER, did not have the patience to take the order for me and my 4 young nieces, who treat Starbucks like a treat. Not only was she short and rude, she yelled several times at us when she felt like she wasn't getting the information she needed. What information? The size of a drink.... But my niece didn't finish the rest of her order. If you don't have the patience, have someone else step in. And if you can't do that, you shouldn't work there. I don't care if someone is having a bad day. That is no excuse to take it out on your customers, let alone young girls who are still working on their confidence. Truly a disgusting experience with a terrible person. One of my nieces' drinks were made incorrectly and she took her drink, and threw it out. She didn't apologize for the mistake or for speaking to us like we were animals. I can't believe this is the kind of crap we have to deal with just to get coffee. I've been debating making this review but I will never return to Starbucks in Emerson. Jamie has the worst attitude. She has never been respectful or welcoming, and makes my drink wrong almost every time I go. I understand everyone has their bad days but this was not just one, two or three occasions when I had a bad experience with Jamie; I am a regular at Starbucks and I will go out of my way to Ridgewood from now on. She gives me iced drinks when I specifically order a hot drink, fills the cold foam 3/4 of the cup so I barely have any coffee (i have pictures of this) and *never* warms up any of the bakery items I order. Her demeanor is so rude and I think she is forgetting that she has to provide customer service in this job. Going to starbucks is a luxury and I expect to at least receive a hello or thank you when I go after spending $10 for a coffee. This place is always hit or miss. The coffee has been either good, cold, old or wrong and usually not the first choice. If you order anything but a drink they make you wait in the parking lot like a freakin McDonald's when you order the Big Mac supersized. This is the only Starbucks I've ever been to that makes me wait. They also push the sales talk hard on you. Do you want a shot in your drink, do you want to add avocado spread? Avocado spread to a frozen wrap you're just going to heat up and sell me an overpriced puck that I have to somehow spread on top of it? Just give me the thing I ordered and that's it. The point is, this all adds up to an extra 5 minutes of saying "no, I just want the coffee. No, I just want the sandwich. No, I don't want to add anything extra." The final straw was when I got my wrap after I pulled over in the parking lot and it was smashed to high hell. It's frozen solid when you "defrost" it. I'm sure they smashed it on purpose. The Starbucks in Montvale is so much better. Go to that place. They take your order, they don't waste your time and everything is spot on. These guys can learn a lot from them. They have a wonderful staff. Your staff needs to be trained more. The orders need to be checked more thoroughly. I've had problems with bagels with mold not the right drinks not the right bagels and it seems they are out of stock of a lot of things specially in the morning and no cream cheese. Check your orders before leaving. In time of crisis they handle everything very well. It is a very popular place here in Emerson it's local it's convenient. read more

This starbucks makes the best drinks every single time. I'm not even kidding there's never been a time where my drink is made bad, on top of that the baristas are so so sweet, i've had so many good experiences. I started a new diet recently and I asked my barista a question about the nutrition facts in the drink and she was so sweet she even took the time to go and get the product and show me mind you I didn't even ask her to do that! I also go sometimes with the kids i babysit and they interact with them and just always go out of their way to bring an order to me if i'm already sitting down, be so welcoming, make the drinks so well, the list goes on. I typically love coming to this Starbucks because the drive thru is very convenient. I am a very loyal customer who gets Starbucks about 4 times a week. However, I was very turned away when I was not able to place multiple orders to pay separately yesterday. I was with a car full of my family who had gift cards and after waiting on the line for about 15 minutes, when we went to place an order, the worker told us were not allowed to have multiple orders. I understand the line is long, but whats the difference if I pay all together or separate? With that, because they would not let us do different orders, the rest of my family was not able to get what they wanted which equal to about 6 drinks. Loss of business for them and unsatisfied customers. When the 1 and only person got their drink, it was wrong. When they said it was incorrect, the worker said "oops" and we waited for about 3 minutes by the window for them to give us a new one. I understand accidents happen but to make customers wait while I can see the new drink waiting on the counter, is just poor customer service. I hope management sees this post and changes the 1 payment per car rule. They are loosing buisness and customers by doing this. read more

I come here often because who doesn't love a drive thru? It can get a little backed up but I've never had an excessive wait for my order. I've also never experienced any issues with an order being wrong/missing things/etc. but that may be because I tend to check the screen while I'm ordering like crazy and have the barista read it back to me 5 times before I pull through. The inside is quiet and clean with smaller tables set up towards the back/side and a big communal high top in the main lobby. The employees are friendly and accommodating especially when I annoyingly forget to ask for my drink iced (this has happened several times) and they are happy to remake it. I regularly visit this Starbucks and can easily choose amongst 4 other stores. I consciously come to this one due to the optimistic and energetic staff -- the employees clearly enjoy working here. Also, the interior is comfortable, not noisy, and has adequate seating. Being a major corporation, I have never found the food to be inconsistent across stores, and never had an issue at this one. Not sure what the other yelpers are talking about regarding quality of service, but the store opened in June, and it's not abnormal for a store to experience some wrinkles the first month. Based on the dates of some of those reviews, it looks like they visited during that time frame. read more
