I literally can't describe with any word but chaotic. The music they play is SO loud, despite being asked multiple times to turn it down. Just in a couple days, I've heard more than three people bring it up, with one woman even leaving because it was so loud! It's a problem when even noise-cancelling headphones can't drown out the music they're blasting. On top of that, the bathrooms are filthy, with hair in the sinks and urine on the floor. One of the bathrooms didn't have soap for an entire day, despite more than one person informing the staff of no soap! Finally, they won't announce your name when your drink is ready, so it'll be cold by the time you finally notice it. I'm truly just flabbergasted by the entire strange situation. Seems like a good spot to get work done. Not too busy on a Friday afternoon at least, service was fine, fair selection of food choices...pretty much what you would expect from a Starbucks. Seating is fairly well spread out though so it's not as confided feeling as most locations. The music isn't too bad either, quiet, better as far as Starbucks go. Also clean, no bad odors like some coffee shops where it sticks to your clothing after you leave. Recommend giving it a try. read more

Employees lied about refills. Policy is you buy ANY drink and can get refills of iced coffee, cold brew etc. employee today took 10 min to make my drink, said she was the only one making drinks but was also futzing around cleaning and there was nobody else in store waiting on drinks. Then told me when I went up for a refill that bc I had gotten a drink more expensive than the cheap drinks I couldn't get a cheap drink refill. Defies logic that you can get a refill of a $4 drink not an $8 drink when the refill is the same inexpensive beverage. Starbucks policy is purchase a beverage get a refill of iced coffee etc, she didn't care when I showed her the language. What terrible service. Then she acted like she'd do me a favor this one time and give me a refill but only a size smaller than i had asked for. read more

The worst experience I have had yet. No greeting when we walked in. Stood at the register for over five minutes with no one letting us know that they would take our order or anything. Finally the girl who was stacking towers of cups said someone will be right with us as she gave no eye contact STILL. Finally someone from the drive through came by and took my friends order and walked away. Did not ask if I wanted anything to drink or if I was ordering. Acouple minutes went by he came back and asked if I was going to get anything. I gave him my order, my drink was watery , the espresso tasted bitter since it sat on the counter , my drink was not stirred as requested an the sugar sat on the bottom. This store is so depressing. Nobody smiles, the "second home" feeling or "home away from home" feeling that Starbucks used to strive for is not here!! The place was completely dirty, it just was gross. No drinks were being called out , what is the purpose of getting my name if you can't call it out? Tables were dirty and sticky. Awful experience. Paying $11 for a drink that wasn't even made correct is really annoying. Will not be returning. read more

Staff is friendly and inviting, pretty efficient given the amount of people that come through the store. Only issue I have is that this Starbucks has all of their drinks priced a dollar more than other Starbucks in Downtown Seattle. For example, you can go to the 1st and Pike, or 5th and Pike Starbucks and buy a Venti frap for $7.11, but if you go to the waterfront the same drink is $7.66. I guess a couple of blocks raises the price by $0.55 if you are hounding for a drink on the waterfront and don't want to walk a few blocks to the market come here. If your coffee fix can wait, I would recommend any other Starbucks. You'll get a better price, there will be less people ordering, and you might get better service even. read more

I've been there quite a few times. Very unsatisfied today. Ordered my drink as I usually do and it was horrible. Didn't have extra cookie crumbles and light whip cream. I could tell as soon as it was presented to me. Ditched the drink and went back to my the usual store that I go to for work (Harris Teeter Cary 236) even though it's a couple miles away. Great location! Love the staff! Howeverrrrrrrr....it was a super cold day and I wanted to go to the drive through - NO CAN DO! All i want to know is, which genius decided to water the plants which turned into the entire drive through being an ice skating rink. Therefore, they closed it. It's like the water main broke and just froze over - over night. So I went inside, thank goodness this location has plenty of parking. I went inside and was greeted a cashier names Daryl. He was really nice and patient while I decided what I wanted to order! I ordered a breakfast sandwich. One employee said they didn't have it and didn't check. He said they did. The other employee said no we don't. So I ordered a different one. The other employee said we don't have it. Daryl said we do. So he left me and went to the back to look for himself. He discovered that they had the original sandwich that I tried to order. I really appreciated him going the extra mile to fulfill my original order. He also knew his stuff. Not sure why the other lazy employee couldn't just go have a look. Thank you Daryl for going the extra mile for your customers! Its really appreciated! I will be back to this location. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available as well as parking which is hard to find at a lot of starbucks locations. read more

This is a well established Starbucks. Here are a few highlights: Pros: a) Great Location. Close to I-40. Literally on Hwy 55, and close to the 55/54 intersection. b) Open until 10pm on Fri & Sat night. c) A good spot to meet. d) The food menu seems to be evolving. e) Consistently great coffee. f) They have a great hot oven system. It's able to heat chocolate croissants, and make them seem freshly baked. g) Nicely stocked condiment station. Cons: a) When it's closing time, don't plan on staying 1 minute longer. Although we found it funny, they literally announced, "It's 10pm, and Starbucks is now closed!" There were only a dozen or so people in the dining area. A couple left. This Starbucks seems a little bit more spacious than other locations, maybe because it used to be a fast food place many years ago. The staff is pleasant and the open windows make it light and airy. I had a chai latte and my wife had a mocha, both of which were decent but not what I'd call outstanding. Then again I'm not a regular Starbucks drinker since I can't justify spending that much on coffee all the time. There were several people chatting and others working on laptops, so this seems to be a regular hangout for some folks. They have a drive-thru as well if you want to go that route. read more

This Starbucks was clean, quick and efficient. My son had a cookie, I had banana nut bread and my husband had a breakfast sandwich. The location was clean and the staff was cool. I can see the parking being a problem on busier days but we were able to find parking in the front (might have been our lucky day). Great customer service, and delicious choices!

I don't always go to Starbucks for my coffee fix, but when I do I usually come to this location located near the intersection of Hwy 54/55. It is convenient and the service is usually pretty fast. This Starbucks was recently updated with design to include tables, benches, sofas, and chairs. It is very large inside and often crowded. You can find a lot of students studying here, and well as business meetings going on and nomadic folks doing remote work (which would describe me). While other Durham places like Cocoa Cinnamon and Bean Traders do offer a better coffee product my 4 stars for this business was deduced by comparing this S'bucks to others in the area. read more

Where do I begin? It confounds me what the draw of Starbucks is. I've never had a cup of coffee at any of them that didn't taste like burnt mud. Normally I avoid them like the plague. I happened to be given two gift cards over the last several months. Why I didn't just pass them onto to one of their devoted followers, I don't know. Anyway, I came in for just a regular cup of iced coffee, decaf iced, that is. I was told they don't do iced decaf. Really? How hard can that be. I've gotten it at other places. The closest they could get is a decaf Caffe Americano. I should have known better when I heard the word espresso, just a deeper burnt mud flavor. When I was served the coffee there were a few ice cubes floating on top and the plastic cup was warm. I was like, where's the ice in my iced coffee? They added a few more cubes. Sorry, but it was rancid. I was headed to Bruegger's for a bagel and asked for a glass of ice there and poured my coffee over it. Now it was more tolerable. I realize one has to develop a taste for European coffee's, but if one just wants regular old fashioned coffee, at least for me, this is not the place. Plus, I refuse to order the size I want in Italian. Please, I'm over the fancy schmancy fru-fru 30 something sub-culture that has risen to the top and become an unwelcome overplayed norm in our society. I look forward to the day when everything old becomes new again, like a good old fashioned cup of coffee. Could coffee shops springing up everywhere serving old timey perked coffee in a diner mug become the new "in" thing? Sounds good to me! read more

Super early morning trip back home-home & I needed coffee ASAP. Thanks to trusty road signs, I saw a Starbucks on my route & thanks to the Starbucks app, it's a drive-thru location. It's a little ways off 85 & situated in front of a shopping center. For 7 AM on the morning, on a Saturday, I was shocked they were busy. When I got to the order speaker, there were five cars ahead of me. We creeped through the line. The lady on the speaker was the normal, cheery voice I'm accustomed to. When I got to the window, a pleasant barista greeted me. My venti skinny caramel macchiato was hot & delicious. We all know Starbucks pricing. ; ) But there is ample parking for customers. read more

Numerous times I've stopped by there on way into work at the hospital around 6:30a and despite hours saying they open at 6a every day in big signs on the building and on the website, more times than not it's closed. VERY NICE VENUE... The folks here are always very nice and accommodating. Plenty of room for seating inside and out. I mean, it's really spacious here. WiFi is decent and the music played within and throughout is always a good mix of genre's (right now, I'm listening to an old hit 'Enjoy the Silence' by Depeche Mode...earlier it was a song 'Ex-Factor' by Lauryn Hill). A little mood music never hurts when studying or researching a paper while sipping on a strong cup of coffee (to stay awake of couse). read more

This is the most comfortable and largest Starbucks around. 4 soft couches and several soft back chairs combined with outdoor seating and good background music make this a great spot to hang out. The main negative is that their most basic item - a cup of Pike coffee - isn't served hot enough. Maybe it's the time I arrive (6:45pm), but the coffee has been barely hot to lukewarm the last 3 times. The first time, the barista apologized and offered me another cup after he made a new batch. On subsequent visits when I complained about the same thing, he started arguing. He claimed it was the milk i just put in and that he had just brewed this batch. He gave me a half cup to show what he meant. I showed him that it wasn't hot enough by drinking the content without blinking. I shouldn't be able to do that with 198F coffee - much less the 202F he claimed. But that seemed to be lost on him :-( There's a bad sensor somewhere - but they're obviously not fixing it. I hate to, but I might have to forego my weekly visits there. Especially since it's otherwise a great coffee shop. read more

Please start coffee rant here { } Coffee made complicated, why? I happened to end up in this miserable strip mall and wanted coffee and Starbucks seemed to be my nearest option. I am not a coffee snob, I just wanted a double espresso, which I thought would be straight forward enough since I have had it at hundreds of places before. I got some strange explanation that it is not possible and they only do one shot, and yada yada yada, you can have Americano and it is 'basically the same'. I was too tired and bothered to try to understand the coffee jargon with the chiponmyshoulder hipster barista. My coffee comes out and it is literally big like a latte, 8 times the liquid quantity of an espresso. How was this basically the same as an espresso? Getting your coffee is so slow that you need a cup of coffee to wait for your coffee to get ready. The tables are big, but it is really not that spacious since most people are spreading out with laptops, bags, books and what else as if this was the only place in town with electricity and they had decided to hang out for 14 hours straight. Not my regular Starbucks but one of my favorites in the area. I don't go to this Starbucks regularly but if i'm headed to Raleigh usually this is the one I pop into. They are quick, nice and always very busy. Most Starbucks in the Raleigh/Durham area tend to have lots of people working on laptops or doing schoolwork and this one might be the busiest one i've encountered. It feels more like a college library than an actual coffee shop. They have one of the quicker drive throughs in the area. At this point if you're going to Starbucks you know what you're getting or seeking out. This is one of the better Starbucks in the area, but it's not Tower Blvd store (represent!) read more

At this Starbucks location you never know what kind of service you will get. I've been here and observed the team fuss about whose working the drive through, with team members not wearing the usual black shirts, and with my venti caramel macchiato not having the correct amount of expresso because they put too much milk and ice in the cup. The large amount of tables make me always come back. This location is great for group or independent work. Most recent my drink was made well and tasted how I expected but it did take a while for it to be made. read more

Friendly staff and really clean. This Starbucks is my go to coffee shop for meetings. It's ver specious and comfortable and the baristas know how to make a good drink. I've been coming here for years and will definitely continue to do so. The only downside is that this place is always freezing so bring a jacket but other than that it's a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and get some work done. read more

I walked in and noticed that there were about four or five representatives to help with taking orders and there was no one in line. I thought I was going to be in and out, how wrong I was! I stood at the counter for a good 3-5 min wondering who was going to take my order. Finally, I had to ask, am I in the right spot to place an order? Someone finally came and took my oder. when she took my order, she did not repeat it back, and she did not say welcome to Starbucks, she was very standoffish. After I ordered my drink, I waited a good ten minutes before I received my drink. Keep in mind, no one in drive through, no one at the register, and they made two drinks for app users.
