Everytime I order a cannon ball drink, or the pink cannon ball drink from this location it's horrible! Today I ordered the pink cannon ball drink thinking that maybe they would do a better job compared to the regular cannonball drink, but no it's nothing like the photo and doesn't taste how the drink is supposed to. After several years of thinking this would be a nice place to meet up with friends for a light lunch and coffee I finally chose today to give it a try. Granted, I do use the drive through but, this was the very first time I went inside! My meet up was scheduled for noon, I arrived 10 minutes early to be sure to get in, grab a nice table and get my order while I waited for my friend. Boy, was going in ever a mistake! After desperately trying to find a parking space I finally found one and went inside...better yet, tried to get inside! Upon opening the door I encountered a wall of high school students! The place was packed solid! Not a table to be found. I stood there for a few minutes hoping to be able to get in line to order but, the wall of kids refused to budge and I determined getting in line was futile. I left went back to my car to wait for my friend. As soon as I sat down in my car she showed...she went in! This meant I had to go back in to find her. I went back in and, there were even more high school kids than before! I searched frantically for my friend but, could not find her through the wall of kids. Frustrated I resorted to text to tell my friend that I was there and where I was standing. Finally she found me and we decided to leave. Definitely NOT the place to go for a quiet get together with a friend! Definitely NOT the place to go during the high school's lunch time! Don't know if it is any less crowded at other times but definitely will NOT be trying to go back for another meet up any time soon, if ever! Do the kids have a right to go there for lunch...definitely! Is it worth it for anyone else to try to have a nice quiet meet up there during high school lunch time...DEFINITELY NOT! read more

Ok, I should have way more check ins at this place as I come here almost everyday. However, I usually use the drive through to pick up an order that I ordered through the app. I tend not to check my phone while in the drive through. Their drive through is usually quick so I don't really feel like they are inefficient. The only times when I see the line long is when someone has a larger order. I must say that I love the interior here. It is nice and clean inside because they opened up around the time COVID hit so maintaining the inside did not seem too strenuous. The one thing I want to note is that they take the pandemic seriously. I remember going inside and the person at the counter was counting how many people were seated and told the guy he couldn't stay inside because they are at capacity. Luckily, the guy understood so everything went well. I was inside using my points to get a mug. I asked if there were any new ones and I was expecting them to flat out say "everything we have is on display". Never hurt to ask, but what shocked me was that the staff asked people in the back and went to the shelf to check under the cabinets. There were no extras, but they went above and beyond my expectations. I have a running theory that people are just generally nicer in Damascus. I'm used to being in the Rockville, Germantown, and Gaithersburg area so really my expectations of customer service is quite low for chains. I just feel more relaxed and welcomed when I go to Damascus. It's a farther drive from where I need to be, but I rather spend the time and resources to enjoy my experience. read more

Go only if you are a drive thru customer. If you plan to get service if you are a walk-in or mobile customer then plan on being ignored until there are no more drive thru customers for them to wait on. Last Saturday at 10am I met a friend at the Damascus Starbucks . We hadn't seen each other for many months so we planned to spend several hours catching up. Our drinks were fine. There is a large comfortable seating area and we got a table far away from the counter and other tables. However, half an hour after we arrived, the music was turned up so loud we couldn't hear our conversation. We ended up leaving. This place just opened and the staff is super friendly and you can feel the eagerness for them to serve the community!! I pulled up the first day of them being opened and felt welcomed and they're fast!! Hope everything keeps going well and just remember the one in the Safeway is not the same quality because they are licensed not apart of the corporation. Difference being they get their coffee from the Safeway stock of Starbucks coffee which I've watched them do whereas this one is purely Starbucks. A perfect morning is a venti dark roast and a almond croissant or lemon pound cake. I tend to mobile order and if there are more than 2-3 cars in the drivethru I will walk-in for pickup. In and out in 5 minutes. Good break from COVID-19 telework. Stars are a nice bonus. read more

I love Starbucks!!! All of their employees are so nice. I come there every sing day and almost every hour from coffee to upside down caramel macchiato and there teas they are all so good!! It has really gotten me through last year. I am all so grateful for starbucks! Though I rate there drive-thru a 1-2 star there just to slow and they keep on getting the orders mixed up. Never had a problem with this place before. I have been going to this place since the day they were opened. Today I attempted to pay with cash with a few two dollar bills. The cashier checked with the manager and the manager on duty said that they can't accept it and I was forced to use my credit card on my Starbucks app. This was pretty embarrassing in front of my family.
