Chocolate toffee donut

The inside was very cozy and cute. The lattes were quality. However the Valentines lattes were lack luster. I would go again and order a more standard drink. ...and I will likely go again because it is so close to gaver farm (my kids fall favorite). I would NOT get the donuts again. They tasted like day old donuts and were not as good as they looked. The only one we liked was the apple fritter.

5 West Cafe is such a cute place - love the ample seating (indoor and patio) as well as their 'nook area' with a sofa, armchairs, and a table with great lighting and cute decor. The cafe offers various beverages, pastries, and a limited breakfast/lunch menu (sandwiches and wraps). We ordered: +a Caramel Apple Crisp Dirty Chai - iced, with an addition of the pumpkin cold foam; I had this prepared with oat milk; this was slightly sweeter +a Sausage Breakfast Burrito - with sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, and cheese - served with a side of salsa; the hubs enjoyed this simple burrito +a glazed cronut - one of the best cronuts we've had! This was super buttery, flaky, and yummy! +a cinnamon sugar cronut - one of the best cronuts we've had! This was super buttery, flaky, and yummy! Don't miss out on their pastries, especially the cronuts - literally one of the best we've had! We had asked if there was a bakery that they source it from, and it seems as if it's a local baker who is totally under the wraps and is a secret - ha! I was disappointed in missing their collab the previous week with 'Chicago Desserts' - maybe next time! Staff were friendly. Plenty of street parking. +cronuts! +ample seating +plenty of street parking

First visit it's a cute place, however wish they had more vegan or vegetarian options. The person taking my order was new so understandable lack of knowledge. They are new but there should be more focus on introducing new customers to there store when they say this is your first visit. Wish for more local foods like veggies and farm fresh eggs and milk. This should be added, however food not so special, coffee was great. Will come again.

These are my favorite items at 5 west (iced coffee and a sprinkle donut)

I just bought a very stale donut here midday. Hopefully other food is better, but I cannot recommend coming here for the donuts.

Charming place with great coffee and pastry. Seems like we're here when they're closed more than when they're open; beware of times.

And saw the "under" orientation of the toilet paper, which violates the original patent for toilet paper holders from 1891, where the paper clearly goes over the top. The "over" configuration: * prevents the roll from brushing the wall * makes it easier to grab with one hand * reduces accidental unrolling * and, most importantly, does not make decent people feel like they're living in a lawless society. What you have here is bathroom anarchy. I must admit that tile and brushed metal fixtures actually look really nice, which somehow makes the backward roll even more upsetting. It's like a beautifully plated meal served on the floor. Moreover, the ceiling contains approximately 400 judgmental eyes observing you while you attempt to live your life. The wallpaper on the ceiling (on the ceiling!!!) has a pattern based on the "evil eye" motif (sometimes called nazar), which shows up in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern design. Traditionally it's supposed to ward off bad luck or jealousy. All it does in this case is confirm the establishment has abandoned reason and at least one of the people who work has met a psychedelic mushroom. Still, the vibe everywhere else in this place is amazing and the coffees are very very good!

Visited during December and the line is still out the door!…read more Pros -has its own parking lot but be careful, some spaces are reserved -physical space has seating, tables, and a few comfy chairs inside. There is a long bar area and also a smaller bar area near the cashier area for seating. The place is warm and cozy, definitely a place where the baristas will start to know your orders. We noticed an outdoor seating area but couldn't see the space fully to know how big it was. -service was friendly and served with smiles -I didn't see a whole lot of food options. Luckily, we came on a Saturday, when waffles are served. -tons of coffee, tea options. And hot cocoa for the kids. They even put whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. My daughter felt very fancy! -waffles were delicious! Fluffy and filling! Kid approved! Cons -possibly a few more food options. I only saw toast and waffles (only on weekends) We had a great experience and would absolutely return again!

I've tried the cinnamon roll (5$), ganache brownie (5$), chocolate chip cookie (1.50$), bunny trail brownie (carrot cheesecake layered brownie) (5$), and carrot cake whoopie (5.25$). The cinnamon roll was easily my favorite item. The cinnamon roll was pretty good with a good amount of icing and it's even better warmed up. The ganache brownie was the best brownie I had and warming it up is how it should always be eaten. The chocolate chip cookie is good but it needs to be warmed up to achieve the best taste. The bunny trail brownie (carrot cheesecake brownie) was very creative but it was just alright. The carrot cake whoopie was okay but it didn't really have the carrot cake flavor I was expecting, it tasted more like a spice cake which wasn't for me and I wouldn't get it again. All in all, i would definitely return and recommend the buzz.

Any regular here should be hooked to the stratas, although other seasonal breakfast platters will always satisfy. I have only been there for lunch once, but I regularly go for breakfast or brunch in the way to an appointment I make most months. So I can only say that the lunch menu also does not disappoint even if I can't call out a favorite. I have also enjoyed the pastries, and they are outstanding as well. And since the offerings change every month, one can never be bored. I always get great service, and all the people working there seem to really enjoy being there. The decor makes for a fun time too.

I've been here countless times and have never reviewed. (Huge oversight!)…read more I drive 50 minutes to get here at least once a month because this place is just that good, especially for a vegetarian. Creative, delicious sandwiches and salads. Go into nearly any sandwich shop and their vegetarian options consist of the typical (and boring) caprese or hummus/veggie. Not here. Here they have an imagination! Kale of Duty is my top pick. The Whistle Stop is excellent too. Salads/bowls: all delicious. The French onion soup (veg version)? Um, yes please! Great selection of drinks: alcoholic and NA. Cute/fun greeting cards to peruse while you wait for your food. I've only ever encountered friendly, helpful employees. And one time I had the opportunity to meet one of the owners (she was at the register). She was warm and engaging and well, I'm even more apt to spend money at an establishment when the owners seem like good people! Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Atmosphere: 9/10

The original price of the bagel was over $17 and the everything bagel was an extra $2 up charge, so essentially a $20 lox and bagel. When I received my order the bagel was a plain bagel, $2 stolen from me, there was less than 3 ounces of lox on the bagel and the $9 chai latte was the blandest drink I've ever had, almost as if they added half water and half milk to the drink. The one saving grace P&R has for me was the chive schmear for the sandwich, at least that had some flavor to it. I had heard many good things about this place and was excited to try it, sadly, I will not be ordering from them again. Highly overpriced for the amount of food you receive.

The best thing they have to offer is their coffee and drinks. They're very good and consistent. I am not a fan of their baked goods or breakfast sandwiches.
