I'm a sucker for the protein foam on the top but I also enjoy the occasional rotation of sweets they have and the strawberry matcha looked so moist I knew I had to get it. And I was right, it was absolutely delicious and the flavors balanced quite nicely. My husband and I were visiting Dallas on my birthday. I wanted to redeem my birthday drink, so we came to this location as it was the closest to our hotel. The baristas were really helpful when I asked about their new seasonal drink- Iced Pineapple Matcha Drink. They commented that even though it has a lot sugar, it is not that sweet. Also the baristas recommended the drink and commented that they are not matcha lovers. The drink is a non-dairy beverage that uses coconut milk as a milk-alternative. It's a blend of premium matcha green tea, flavors of pineapple and ginger, coconut milk, and ice. I like how it uses coconut milk as my husband is lactose intolerant. I had no trouble redeeming my free drink, and the barista even offer to make me a new drink if I didn't like the matcha pineapple drink. Excellent service! The drink is definitely an unique combination. The first sip was different than the other drinks I have had in the past, but the more I drink, the more I liked it! Very small store with limited indoor seating space, they do have some outdoor seating but that would really only work in good weather and when it's not freezing or boiling hot. I was in such a hurry this morning that I locked my keys & phone in my car when trying to get coffee at this Starbucks. Sandy was so nice to me and let me use the Starbucks phone to call Roadside Assistance. She even offered to get me a drink while I waited for help. Another new Starbucks location (for me anyway) means another Starbucks review. I visited this location during the evening and it definitely had a chill vibe to it. Much more chillaxing than than most I've visited. For openers it's a smaller store which gives it a more intimate feel. This said, there's plenty of Starbucks paraphernalia sitting around to remind one that it's not a local shop. Considering the size of the location there is a fair amount of indoor seating. What really separates this location from many of the others is the staff and the outdoor seating. I stopped by here as I was attending service at a nearby church. Since I was early and needed a boost I turned to my Starbucks app to locate the nearest location. I was also a little hungry and didn't want anything to heavy (nothing like falling asleep in church). As I looked over the available options in the display case, nothing really appealed to me. One of the barista's suggested I try something from their new 'evening menu'. He reviewed (and showed) me several of the items. I opted for the Chicken Sausage & Mushroom Flatbread pizza and for my drink I went with the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher. This ended up being the perfect combination; not too filling with a nice boost. Of course a glass of wine would be have been nice (wine is available at this location) but since I was heading to church I decided against it. Initially I was going to grab a seat inside and enjoy my purchase but then I opted to sit outside. The outdoor seating at this location is prime real-estate as it is part of the courtyard in between the Starbucks and another store. Deciding to sit there amongst nature and enjoy my purchase was a wise decision. Thankfully, there was no one else sitting outside so it provided me with some much needed quiet time. After battling traffic to get to that part of town this definitely helped take the edge off. Also, there are some fairly large trees which when in season will provide ample shading from the sun. When I find myself in this part of town and in need of a boost, this will be my Starbuck's of choice. Friendly staff, excellent service and a decent vibe. read more
