Good lord. We attempted to place an order at the drive through, and as we were finishing up, we said, "That's all, thank you!" But the person taking the order couldn't hear us, despite having heard everything else with no problem. They asked us to repeat. And repeat again. And repeat again. Each time we were progressively louder with the hope that they could hear us. When they finally did, they shouted in an obnoxious tone, "YOU'RE WELCOME!!!" My daughter and I looked at each other like, what just happened? We left without picking up the order because I don't accept food from people who are clearly angry, because they might spit in it. When we called to explain why we didn't stay to get the order, the manager, Aaron, said that he heard the whole exchange, and that we were being very aggressive to the barista , and that her response was totally appropriate because she was just matching our tone. He repeated this over and over: we were rude, we were instigating, we deserved to be shouted at. WHAT? Customer service, food service, retail 101: you do NOT shout at a customer, even if you think they are shouting at you, which we were not. If you don't possess the emotional stability NOT to shout at customers, you need to find another line of work. I'm shocked by the barista's behavior, but even more shocked by the manager's. Why not just say, "She didn't mean to shout, she just wanted to make sure you heard her" instead of "yeah, she shouted and was rude to you and guess what? You deserved it." Love the mango dragonfruit lemonade refresher. It's so tasty and not overly sweet! Perfect for a hot sunny day. The iced lemon loaf is delicious. As well as the banana walnut & pecan loaf. Enjoy both in moderation lol. read more

Stop here sometimes for a quick coffee when out running errands. Usually it's a quick in and out as I place a mobile order on my way. Today, Starbucks was not in there game. I walked in about 5 min after placing an order for a black coffee. There was about 8 people waiting for mobile orders, most not very happy! I understand being overwhelmed and it taking longer then usual, that's normal. However the attitude of a couple of the workers was not good. A Customer received their order and wanted a cup sleeve. She reached to grab one and a worker berated her. Not what I would call good customer service. Hopefully just an off day! read more

Super friendly and fast! The store was very clean. While I was there a timer went off and a team member called for all of the staff to wash their hands as soon as they had time. Love that they have a timer for staff hand washing! read more

We waited almost 15 for two drinks to be made and they weren't even right! I ordered a white hot chocolate and a pumpkin spice frappachino. First off the white hot chocolate wasn't even right it was a white mocha, Then I got my pumpkin spice frap and it didn't taste quite right. Save your money and time. I got a scorning hot doppio espresso spilled all over me for careless mistakes. She put the shot in the most unsecured spot when passing to me through drive through. After this happened I didn't even get an Im sorry. The problem could have been solved if she would have put the shot in the ice like I had asked. I don't like to review big chains but this is by far the best Starbucks. The people here are so nice! They don't make it feel like a Starbucks, it feels more like a small coffee shop. If you wake up earlier enough they always give out free stuff early in the morning! Ummm hello it's 6am and I get free stuff? On the day of the election I got a free bracelet and I've also got to taste some of their new holiday drinks! They make waking up early fun. The team that works there is SO nice and fun no matter how early it is. They always ask what new and exciting things you're doing for the day to start a convo. Love it :) read more

A trip t o Columbia brings the same cravings.... Sometimes you need to channel Droz from PCU and just get some Coffee... Coffee Now! This is your standard Starbucks, in a stripmall, a few tables outside when the weather allows... All in all its a decent shop with some cool people. "The Good" - The staff are polite and smile as opposed to the robotic "going through the motions" attitude you sometimes run into. - The coffee was good, I order a simple coffee with milk and sugar and it was exactly what I needed and wanted so good on them. - The line did move fairly fast and the register guy then girl had everything moving so you did not think it was a "delay" "The Meh" - Nothing really meh to comment on. The beverages and food are as good as they are at any other Starbucks, though they're usually out of chicken pesto paninis. The main downside of this Starbucks, in spite of the fact that it has a drive-thru (yay!), is that it can get scary if you want to make a left turn onto York Road when you're leaving. This is the closest Starbucks to my workplace, and is the most convenient on the way to work, so I'm in here a lot. Even when there's a large crowd here the staff does a good job of filling orders quickly. And for 6am in the morning, they are typically very friendly. The layout of the store does make it quite noisy if it is full of people conversing, as there are lots of hard surfaces to reflect noises. But what the hey, you can usually score a free app on the App Store or an iTunes download. I also appreciate the cutesy touches - local art, thank you notes, photos from volunteering, for a little store in a strip mall they certainly seem to do a lot of community service! My only frustrations with Starbucks are not specific to this store, but overall store layout - every Starbucks I've been to, if you order anything to be toasted, it's opposite where you are going to pickup your drink. Here the divide is not so severe, and fortunately your hot food is usually brought over to the drinks counter. And traffic on York Road is TERRIBLE, but the whole Lutherville-Timonium-Cockeysville-Hunt Valley area is an example of poor suburban planning and traffic engineering. (Ditto most of Baltimore County, but I digress.) read more

I've been to this location several times and find that it's actually pretty decent. Apparently they've taken the info from Jon P's original review and bumped up the standards a bit. Every time I've been there, there's very little waiting as the baristas seem to know everyone who is walking up. They see someone approaching from across the parking lot and start prepping his/her drink. That's the kind of service I'm used to at smaller coffee shops. I love seeing it happen in Sbux. It's a small shop so apparently they don't carry all the pastries and stuff that the other Sbux locations do. That's fine with me; they do a pretty decent caramel macchiato. read more

Terrible service! Don't plan to get what you order from this Starbucks. Crappy service and crappy selection of food products. Check your beverages carefully before you leave because they often mess up and fail to add any requested milk or sugar. After having these issues twice in a row and crappy responses from the employees, I will be taking my business elsewhere and I recommend others do the same. read more

One of several that have opened up in the area. Your basic Starbucks. What makes it interesting is to get a no water Chia Latte and watch the fun begin when there is a long line. After 6-7 orders the Barista starts screwing up the orders. The customers get all huffy like they are so important they cannot be delayed.... give me a break, it is Saturday morning! Guess they cannot be late for their supervised visits with there kids. The staff is very nice and they try hard. When they make a mistake they give you a freebie for next time and a size larger than you originally ordered. Of course you can always talk in that pretentious "SB Speak" so you too can be cool. read more

On a good note, one of the managers recognizes me when I come in and has my drink ready by the time I am ready to pay. And I'm not even here that often. On a bad note, the layout is terrible. Seating is at a premium with one person often taking up a four-top. I wish they would split the four-tops into two-tops to allow for more individuals or couples to sit and relax. read more

Today I witnessed the manager and staff at the Cockeysville Starbucks handle an extremely uncomfortable situation with grace. A set of customers was sprawled across the banquette. When a customer complained about lack of seating, the staff addressed the situation very professionally, despite a verbally abusive response. The Starbucks staff maintained their composure, and handled the conversation with admirable restraint. My heart goes out to people who are facing medical issues. But my sympathy ends when they take their anger and frustration out on unsuspecting and innocent bystanders. This is a staff, and a Starbucks that the corporation should value for their devotion to customer service. read more

I went in to order my usual: venti strawberry refresher, pumpkin bread, and a birthday cake cake pop. The two ladies there were very grumpy and unfriendly. They meet up my moms order and she kindly asked for the right drink. She took it back and made it very quick. It was still wrong but we went along with it. This starbucks felt so different from other starbucks. The moment you walk in you feel this warm welcome from the employees and atmosphere. You felt like you were in a friend's coffee shop and not a franchise owned building. Everyone was nice and courteous. The restaurant was clean and neatly organized. Service was excellent! Extremely friendly staff here! It doesn't take long for them to know your name and your drink of choice. I often spend time studying here as I find it to be a relaxing environment.
