It's been 10 minutes, and I'm DUE For another drink from Kung FU So now I'm going to rap for YOU And if it really sucks, just BOO So if you and your bf are THROUGH And you need something (someone) to DO Let me show you how my legend "GREW" And all my urban myths are TRUE There is no taming of this SHREW I'll be the driver, you the SCREW You the river, me CANOE Or you can be Barbie's sexy SHOE You 80s radio, me CUTTING CREW You a doctor's office, me the FLU You the Synagogue, me the JEW You the toilet, me the POO Wait, what Anyway Those boys will have to join the QUEUE And wait until I'm done with YOU You'll bounce like a KANGAROO Cause we're lovers, not fighters like FOO And when we're done (in a day or TWO) After I've made your kitty MEW And after I've finally WITHDREW Then it's time to go to Kung FU! WHAT KFT is one of my fave chains, and I'm obsessed with the LBT which is no longer on the menu, but like most locations, they'll still make it for me here at Towson. The girl serving me was an angel, but the owners rubbed me the wrong way in a few ways. I don't perform music in the bathroom anymore. Otherwise it'd be "Sung Fu Tea." What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! My notes said: Good drink and a wonderful server, which is good because this place does not give tips to the employees and deserves 1 star for that crap. Awful. But great tea in a lovely area, very busy. I was asking what kind of beans they had one time. The girl was like "what is this, Mung Fu Tea?" So the not giving tips to the employees is a huge issue for me. Lots of locations are like that, but you never know which is which until you ask, and even then some people find it to be a very awkward question. The drinks here are excellent and it's easily the best Boba in Towson or within a few miles of Towson, but having said that, there's no chance I'm giving 5 stars when they don't give employees tips. Additionally, the store is cluttered, has some very rude customers (and some nice ones), and can have long wait times for your drinks, but it's worth the wait. I asked them both "what is the past tense of I Bring Kung Fu Tea?" They incorrectly responded "Brung Fu Tea."

I am going to preface that my order was wrong and I didn't love the wrong bits, but all the delicious parts were as expected. I ordered the cocoa milk strike (lactose free) and ordered it with the standard sugar (next time I think I'll do less), standard ice (perfect) and with coffee bursting bubbles (I got mango bursting bubbles and that was pretty gross with everything, but honest mistake). They mentioned it comes with the standard bubbles, so I assumed the bursting pearls would be an up charge replacement, but it was an addition, which was a lovely surprise. Those were a lot more enjoyable than the mango bursts. The individual that took our order was solid. Repeated the order back to me to assure accuracy of the order (), but everything they said back was correct. Small note. There are two straw sizes. If you get bubbles, make sure you get the correct sized straw or you're going to be sucking so hard you almost choke once the bubbles make it through the tiny straw... ‍(Totally my bad. They are labeled and I failed to read)

*** This is from the OWINGS MILLS KUNG FU TEA reduced-sugar, extra creamy Mocha latte - large, foamy and good!!!
    Marcy M.

July 5,2021, a day after visiting the Owings Mills store, I visited this Towson locale of Kung Fu Tea and ordered an extra foamy, reduced sugar mocha latte. The clerk was helpful, professional, and personable, but he told that my mocha could not be made foamy. I showed the pleasant clerk my pic of the Owings Mills foamy hot mocha latte I'd purchased a day before, and I asked him why the Towson Kung Fu Tea could not replicate it. The clerk's response: "I think Owings Mills must have a better steamer than we have. Our milk doesn't come out that foamy." Even though they are franchises, I thought it was a weird answer because both places use only one type of milk, the exact same lactose-free brand. I don't know what the actual problem was, (perhaps the steamers at the two sites are different - OR perhaps the baristas have different efficacy levels or patience levels when it comes to foaming milk - I dunno ‍ ). I know the large at Towson is much smaller than the large at Owings Mills. The Towson barista told me this fact and then adjusted to a larger cup without my even asking. Very Nice, Customer Service-minded guy! Still, I can't actually recommend the Towson Kung Fu Tea store which was filled with customers. I did not find my own drinks as satisfactory nor as tasty, and they were without essential foam. At least, I did discover in Towson that Kung Fu Tea shops unfortunately all use Hershey syrup in drinks. Well, the baristas at the OWINGS MILLS KUNG FU TEA at least are able to use that syrup to make their lattes foamy and light and tasty! Sure fooled me with the Hershey. Hopefully, all KFT's will soon start offering stevia-based syrup options and organic flavorings! Until then, go check out the Owings Mills KFT! it's a better option than the Towson store and infinitely less LAME - in sooo many ways - than any Starbucks!!!!!!!!

I LOVE Kung Fu Tea. I have lived in Alexandria for a few years so I am used to a KFT on every corner. I was pleasantly surprised to see one in Towson, so I had to give it a try! Located right off York Rd, you can't miss it! There are a few limited parking spots available on the street, but multiple lots and garages in the area. This location has limited seating, but they have board games available which makes chilling here fun! I ordered the taro milk bubble tea and it was great! I always order the same drink and it comes out exactly like the other ones in different locations! Service was fast and friendly which is always a plus! They are open a little later than some places on York Rd, which makes it an ideal place to swing by after dinner. If you are in the area, I suggest you stop by!

I've been to KFT at this location a number of times during the past year, but am now writing a special Friday the 13th review for this particular trip. KFT is located in Towson, perfect to go to after shopping at the Town Center, studying at the nearby library, watching a movie at Cinemark, or dinner at Pho Dat Thanh. You can find street parking or there is a parking lot that is free after a certain time (but a little tough to get a spot sometimes). Great location and a perfect little, shiny suburban escape from the city. KFT is everything you'd expect from a boba place - the adequately cute and bright Asian decor, the board games, about 4 tables of seating and a counter looking out the window, and Mandarin-speaking staff. Also reasonably priced: the tea itself is $3.25 or $3.50 and toppings are an additional $0.50 My go-to is always the Oolong Milk Tea, because I love the strong tea taste and also I don't often find Oolong flavor elsewhere. I've tried about every other milk tea flavor too. This time, however, I was feeling adventurous and realized they have a new flavor - rose hip milk tea! I ordered it just how I like my milk teas at KFT - 30% sugar, less ice, with boba. And no surprise, it was really good! It was surprisingly pretty fruity, and still sweet even with 30% sugar. I was also v v impressed by how fresh the boba was - it clearly felt hot at the bottom of my cup! Perfectly chewy and with the right amount of sweetness. But the surprise didn't end there! Shortly after we received our orders, there was a blackout in Towson! V fitting for Friday the 13th! The lights turned off in KFT, leaving only the eery white glow of emergency lights in the store (see photos). However, without skipping a beat, the staff apologized (for something out of their control) and continued shouting out orders! Customers kept coming in and continued playing board games. The staff also were shaking the drinks by hand - they were not phased at all. I was there for a good 10 minutes in the dark as I finished my drink, observing as the operations of serving delicious boba continued as usual. Not even new flavors or a power outage can stop me from staying that KFT still remains my favorite boba place near Baltimore! I only wish they had a stamp card system because I would be well on my way to free drinks by now. Tips: Credit card orders only for orders over $5. Wifi available.

    Yummy Thai milk tea!

This is like my third time here and this is one of my favorite KFT's. Customer service is always on point and the boba is perfect! It's warm, chewy, and has the right amount of sweetness. I wanted to try something different other than my black milk tea so I tried the lychee bubble tea and I forgot to say no sugar. My drink was made and I told attendant I need to order it without sugar. She was very gracious, told me lychee tends to be super sweet, and she would be happy to make another drink! I don't have to tell you to check them out lol. My numerous check ins at Kung Fu Tea tells ya! Enjoy.

    WINTER MELON TEA
    Michael Z.

Kung Fu Tea is a chain bubble tea that is in a lot of major cities. I wanted to change it up so I order the winter melon flavored milk tea with normal sugar and normal ice. Normal level is probably too sweet for me and I will definitely lower my sweetness level next time. If you are unfamiliar with winter melon, I'd say it's flavor equivalent reminds me of a caramel taste. KFT is a fast and reliable place I'd you are looking for some bubble tea.

Better milk cap! I liked my wintermelon tea with milk cap. At 50% sugar, it was still very sweet and I would go lower than that next time. The boba came out hot, though it was almost sticky-soft. I ordered less ice and my drink had good flavor.

    Lychee bubble punch
    Cynthia F.

I came here on a Sunday evening for the first time! It was around 9pm and the place was still bustling. This is actually the first time I've had bubble tea. I've always been a little skeptical of the bubbles and how they would taste but I decided to give it a try. I decided to go with the lychee punch (so not sure if that even counts as getting bubble "tea") but I love anything lychee so went with that. Service was polite and quick. I thought it was so cool watching the machine that shakes the tea up and then they put it under a machine that seals it. I would definitely return and try another drink!

I went in and was met with soothing holiday music and friendly staff. I ordered the Seasonal Scramble with the help of the staff I was settled not to get the asian pears on my scramble but on the side. The seasonal scramble comes with home fries and multi grain toast. The eggs are made with goat cheese and some other ingredients. The goat cheese was not a hit with this. The home fries were cold. I also ordered their popular cinnamon toast latte. I was not a true fan as the coffee used is quite strong ang bitter. I ordered to go and to my suprise I see that this is an Atlas Restaurant Group establishment. Because these folks were nice, I may come back and try something else because this $18 meal was not tasty. It gave me a queasy stomach smelling and eating the eggs with the goat cheese.

All of the baked goods displayed on the counter entice you to indulge in a sweet treat before ordering a pizza.
