This is my go-to Kung Fu Tea location. They are quick and make drinks perfectly each time. The location is a four minute walk from the movie theater and right next door to several restaurants. There is a seating area inside, which is perfect for waiting when the weather is less than ideal. They also have some board games available if you're staying in and with a group. I just ordered the sesame oolong milk tea with bubbles and oolong tea jelly with 70% sweetness. When I got my drink, not only did they forget the oolong tea jelly but they also made my drink way too sweet (probably like 120% sweetness). I went back in and asked the girl in the front to add the jelly and adjust the sweetness, but only the jelly was added and when I asked if I could have the sweetness adjusted, she said it was too late. My drink tasted like diabetes so I just threw it out. I'm never coming back to this location again. I am going to preface that my order was wrong and I didn't love the wrong bits, but all the delicious parts were as expected. I ordered the cocoa milk strike (lactose free) and ordered it with the standard sugar (next time I think I'll do less), standard ice (perfect) and with coffee bursting bubbles (I got mango bursting bubbles and that was pretty gross with everything, but honest mistake). They mentioned it comes with the standard bubbles, so I assumed the bursting pearls would be an up charge replacement, but it was an addition, which was a lovely surprise. Those were a lot more enjoyable than the mango bursts. The individual that took our order was solid. Repeated the order back to me to assure accuracy of the order (), but everything they said back was correct. Small note. There are two straw sizes. July 5,2021, a day after visiting the Owings Mills store, I visited this Towson locale of Kung Fu Tea and ordered an extra foamy, reduced sugar mocha latte. The clerk was helpful, professional, and personable, but he told that my mocha could not be made foamy. I showed the pleasant clerk my pic of the Owings Mills foamy hot mocha latte I'd purchased a day before, and I asked him why the Towson Kung Fu Tea could not replicate it. The clerk's response: "I think Owings Mills must have a better steamer than we have. Our milk doesn't come out that foamy." Even though they are franchises, I thought it was a weird answer because both places use only one type of milk, the exact same lactose-free brand. I don't know what the actual problem was, (perhaps the steamers at the two sites are different - OR perhaps the baristas have different efficacy levels or patience levels when it comes to foaming milk - I dunno ‍ ). I know the large at Towson is much smaller than the large at Owings Mills. The Towson barista told me this fact and then adjusted to a larger cup without my even asking. Very Nice, Customer Service-minded guy! Still, I can't actually recommend the Towson Kung Fu Tea store which was filled with customers. I did not find my own drinks as satisfactory nor as tasty, and they were without essential foam. At least, I did discover in Towson that Kung Fu Tea shops unfortunately all use Hershey syrup in drinks. Well, the baristas at the OWINGS MILLS KUNG FU TEA at least are able to use that syrup to make their lattes foamy and light and tasty! Sure fooled me with the Hershey. Hopefully, all KFT's will soon start offering stevia-based syrup options and organic flavorings! I LOVE Kung Fu Tea. I have lived in Alexandria for a few years so I am used to a KFT on every corner. I was pleasantly surprised to see one in Towson, so I had to give it a try! Located right off York Rd, you can't miss it! There are a few limited parking spots available on the street, but multiple lots and garages in the area. This location has limited seating, but they have board games available which makes chilling here fun! I ordered the taro milk bubble tea and it was great! I always order the same drink and it comes out exactly like the other ones in different locations! Service was fast and friendly which is always a plus! I've been to KFT at this location a number of times during the past year, but am now writing a special Friday the 13th review for this particular trip. KFT is located in Towson, perfect to go to after shopping at the Town Center, studying at the nearby library, watching a movie at Cinemark, or dinner at Pho Dat Thanh. You can find street parking or there is a parking lot that is free after a certain time (but a little tough to get a spot sometimes). Great location and a perfect little, shiny suburban escape from the city. KFT is everything you'd expect from a boba place - the adequately cute and bright Asian decor, the board games, about 4 tables of seating and a counter looking out the window, and Mandarin-speaking staff. Also reasonably priced: the tea itself is $3.25 or $3.50 and toppings are an additional $0.50 My go-to is always the Oolong Milk Tea, because I love the strong tea taste and also I don't often find Oolong flavor elsewhere. I've tried about every other milk tea flavor too. This time, however, I was feeling adventurous and realized they have a new flavor - rose hip milk tea! I ordered it just how I like my milk teas at KFT - 30% sugar, less ice, with boba. And no surprise, it was really good! It was surprisingly pretty fruity, and still sweet even with 30% sugar. I was also v v impressed by how fresh the boba was - it clearly felt hot at the bottom of my cup! Perfectly chewy and with the right amount of sweetness. But the surprise didn't end there! Shortly after we received our orders, there was a blackout in Towson! V fitting for Friday the 13th! The lights turned off in KFT, leaving only the eery white glow of emergency lights in the store (see photos). However, without skipping a beat, the staff apologized (for something out of their control) and continued shouting out orders! Customers kept coming in and continued playing board games. The staff also were shaking the drinks by hand - they were not phased at all. I was there for a good 10 minutes in the dark as I finished my drink, observing as the operations of serving delicious boba continued as usual. Not even new flavors or a power outage can stop me from staying that KFT still remains my favorite boba place near Baltimore! I only wish they had a stamp card system because I would be well on my way to free drinks by now. Tips: Credit card orders only for orders over $5. Wifi available. read more

This is like my third time here and this is one of my favorite KFT's. Customer service is always on point and the boba is perfect! It's warm, chewy, and has the right amount of sweetness. I wanted to try something different other than my black milk tea so I tried the lychee bubble tea and I forgot to say no sugar. My drink was made and I told attendant I need to order it without sugar. She was very gracious, told me lychee tends to be super sweet, and she would be happy to make another drink! I have become slightly addicted to Kung Fu Tea. My standard order is their KF Milk Tea 50% sweet with boba. Usually their boba is nice and soft, little chewy. I love that they are soaked in honey. Sometimes u will Get a random hard bubble. I did order a chai milk and felt like it tasted exactly the same as the milk tea and it cost $1 more. Which wasn't worth it. I want chai to have a strong chai flavor which it did not. They have free WiFi with is awesome. And I also take my drink to the movies next door, the sealed top is great for carrying into the movies read more

I had been craving bubble tea for a few weeks, so I was happy to find a place close to me that sells it. (I usually frequent a place that for isn't nearby). On this particular evening, I was excited to not only get the bubble tea but to also share one of my favorite drinks with my boys for the first time. When we arrived, the place was relatively quiet and not too busy. There were a few people in and out. The menu is quite expansive. There are many options, including the traditional bubble tea, bubble punch, yogurt, among others. My oldest son and I ordered the mango bubble punch tea and added mango flavored popping bubbles. I added the nata jelly to my drink as well. My youngest son ordered the pineapple bubble punch tea and added mango flavored popping bubbles as well. While I liked my drink, I wasn't a big fan of the popping bubbles. They didn't quite have the same sensory satisfaction that normally comes when I burst one. Also, they are a lot sweeter than the popping bubbles that come with the drink I get from another business I purchase from. My boys, however, thoroughly enjoyed their drinks! Pretty solid boba tea chain. I usually go to another location when I'm at home but this one is near my campus plus they have free wifi so I can do homework (password is on the register) so I started coming here. I love boba tea, especially nondairy ones (they use lactaid) and their options and customizations are pretty good. I tried it hot for the first time and the cashier helped me pick a good option. I always sit by the window to charge my laptop, it's never too crowded and it's always consistent. My favorite boba spot!! I love Kung Fu Tea because not only is it quality boba tea, but it also has so many customizable options. I got the Thai milk tea, and requested less ice and 50% sugar. They have these really cool add ons called "milk caps," which essentially is a condensed flavored filled milk cap that is placed on top of your boba tea, so that it can slowly blend in your tea and make it even more sweet and yummy!! The milk caps definitely make you much more full after drinking the tea, but I thought it was a cool customizable option. I love the consistency and reliability of the tapioca balls- always chewy, soft, and round. The teas are also customizable in terms of sugar and ice levels, and I don't feel like they are using the generic powders + artificial flavors, which is a great plus. I always go with the jasmine green tea, oolong, or early grey. Pro tip: if you want the sea salt creme top, order the regular black or green tea, without the milk tea- otherwise the creaminess and sweetness can be overpowering. I am a big fan of this kung fu tea! It is a $5 minimum on credit card which is what a large boba costs. I absolutely love that they use honey boba for their drinks which adds the extra touch for me. The taro milk tea or honey green tea are my two favorites that I would recommend! They also have some table space too if you want to sit down and enjoy your boba. I would adjust it next time to only 30%, but it's still an interesting fruity and floral flavor! I also recommend their Sunshine Pineapple Green Tea with jelly! Towson is lucky to have such quality bubble tea, so I highly recommend this as a stop whenever you're in the area. They have seasonal flavors as well, so don't be afraid to branch out! I'm so happy there's a descent bubble tea place close to home. Being a nippy day, I got a hot cup of taro bubble tea w tapioca, no sugar. Although I liked it, even with no sugar they are already really sweet. I wonder if the tapioca balls added extra sweetness bc of the syrup. My bf got hot honey milk green tea, and oh boy- the fact that it was already so sweet combined with the honey really hits your face on your first couple of sips. Although it's a lot more sugary than I'd like it to be, I'm giving it a 4 because I'm selfish; it's the only descent bubble tea place I've found so far around Baltimore. I hope it stays open!
