I went into the store on a wonderful Sunday afternoon. I open the door and the music was blasting so loud, completely filled with profanity and sexual degradation. On Sunday, I visited your store and was shocked by the music that was playing. It was extremely loud and filled with profanity and explicit sexual lyrics--completely inappropriate for a business environment. While I'm not easily offended, this went far beyond what I would consider acceptable. The music was so intrusive and vulgar that it created an unwelcoming atmosphere, and the staff seemed unaware or unconcerned. I ultimately left without making a purchase. This was a very disappointing experience and does not reflect well on your business. read more

This place was phenomenal and a breath of fresh air. I was in Baltimore picking up a car and the person I was waiting for was in a meeting. Instead of waiting in the city I found someplace to grab a nice healthy juice and it happened to be in Towson. This nice little street with plenty of street parking and a few specialty shops. I got my very first Açaí bowl and it was packed full of goodness! I really enjoyed the fruit, coconut shavings, and granola. I also got a smoothie. The prices are not cheap. I think I spent $42 for 2 smoothies and an açaí bowl. But everything was fresh. The line was not long and it was very easy to find the location. Apparently there are others in this area. Pure raw juice is a great smoothie stop if you're looking for something a notch above a standard smoothie chain. The Violet smoothie has blueberries, pineapple, beet, banana, and their cashew milk. It has a nice balance of flavors and not too sweet. I'm not sure if it was their cashew milk or the banana, but it had a really interesting and nice texture. It was very busy when we went, which is perhaps why the wait was a little long, but not too bad. Parking was a little tough as well, but we found a good parallel parking spot by the smoothie shop. Pure Raw is a solid spot for açaí bowls and smoothies. We had been to their previous location in federal hill and liked their offerings. We enjoy their Hawaiian and traditional açaí bowls. They're fairly large and filling which is good considering their $10 a pop (which is standard for an acai bowl). Sometimes it takes awhile to get your bowls so be prepared to wait it out, especially if they're busy. I wish they had a few more varieties in their acai bowl offerings but overall you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back next time we are in the are. read more

This is the absolute best place to go for smoothie bowls. The pitaya bowl is honestly the most amazing thing ever. I tried a smoothie once, didn't love it and the açaí bowl is good too but nothing is better than the pitaya bowl, just try it. The manager (I can tell he's the manager but how he interacts with the staff, he's kind but clearly in charge) is super friendly and will go above and beyond if there's any problems. Still love pure raw, but recently it's been very inconsistent and slow service. I ordered two protein bowls and one was filled 1/3 less than normal. These are not cheap items so it was rather annoying. The flavor was also very lacking from how it normally tastes-- almost like watered down with too much mylk/not enough açaí or almond butter. The best and friendliest service I had in a while. It was also very clean inside. I ordered the Almond Butter Cup smoothie. It was unbelievably great!! It was very filling! It held off my hunger until lunchtime. My cons about this place are that it's street metered parking and that it is a little pricy. My smoothie was $10. I don't mind paying that much for high quality ingredients but I definitely couldn't keep coming here often if I'm on a budget. $10 will add up quick! I've been dying to get here for quite some time, and today was the day! This establishment was a fantastic recommendation from one of my Yelp-ian friends and I'm so glad I took her recommendation. Nice spacious dining room area, detailed menu board, courteous service, and super quick order delivery! Some employees can NOT perform under pressure. I typically have a great experience when I go to Pure Raw but not yesterday (07/21/2019). Pure Raw was very busy yesterday, which is expected given the heat wave that swept the state this pass weekend. I ordered a Protien Blast bowl however, when my name was called I immediately noticed that my bowl was half empty! I looked around at the other bowls that were coming out and they were half empty as well. It appeared that since they were busy, some of the staff were rushing to make orders and not taking time to make the items properly. It was CLEARLY a case of quantity OVER quality - Not Acceptable. I informed the young lady making my bowl that it was not filled up to its normal capacity. She asked if I wanted more granola? I was confused and said sure. She then provided my bowl to me and it looked like one big bowl of SLOP! Now, Pure Raw is known for not only great products but presentation as well and there was nothing presentable about what she provided me. I asked her to remake my bowl and you could tell that this request annoyed her. The person I was with requested to have their bowl remade as well. She provided me with a remade bowl and told the person I was with "your's is going to be a while" and then she began to talk about us to one of her coworkers. I know this because the coworker immediately looked up at us while we were waiting. While waiting for the 2nd bowl, other customers orders were coming out and we were still waiting. We asked a gentleman if the 2nd bowl was coming up soon. He stated they need to make a new batch of Acai. Why didn't the young lady inform us of this instead of only saying "your's is going to be a while" and proceeding to talk about us and then walking to the back. The young lady came back a few minutes later and proceeded to make other people's order before making our 2nd bowl. The person I was with inquired with her about their bowl and she stated "I'm making it now". We said thank you and left the store. Those 2 bowls were $20!!!!! No one wants to pay $20 for half full bowls that are prepared in a rush and horrible customer service!! This left us feeling unappreciated as customers! No worries, we won't be back!! read more

Stopped in after a Towson campus visit. We ordered two açaí bowls, a juice, and a juice shot. They said the juices can be up to 5 days old so in other words, maybe the nutrients died already from oxidation, maybe they didn't. When the açaí bowls came out, one was fine and seemed to have been freshly made. The other was frozen and chunky. I asked if it was supposed to be like that and was informed that it may have been in true freezer longer than the other one. Somehow they still consider them freshly made even if they've been placed it the freezer for a while. The person working the register seemed like I was a problem when I asked for a freshly made bowl or a refund. The manager came out and asked what the problem was and offered to make another. There's some metered parking out front (change only!) The shop itself is pretty big with enough seating for the crowd that was coming in and out. But I did not know there was cinnamon in it, and it kind of threw me off. I went in one day to try this and it was all gone and they said they weren't going to make anymore until the next day. On the next day, I called around 1:30pm to see if it was back in stock. It was not, it was probably either not made or all sold out by then. Second if you really cared about being "safe" during covid, the cashier wouldn't be taking orders without her mask covering her mouth AND you wouldn't have a sh*t ton of people waiting inside for 20+ minutes for their orders. Have people wait outside if you really give a damn. In the meantime, don't be rude to your customers,use proper signage, and make sure restricted areas are actually properly blocked...or at least pay better attention.
