    Green Power Bowl

An amazing açaí, healthy, smoothie spot in Baltimore. The menu is diverse and the bowls are packed with flavor and unique offerings. The coconut and green bases are my favorite and the smoothies are always great too. Service is good and I prefer taking to go, but the inside is beachy and cozy and the perfect spot to enjoy your bowl or smoothie.

Customer service was very good and drinks came out fast. On weekends be ready to wait. Was crowded and some patrons were getting impatient as if everything isn't made right there fresh. Be patient. The Aloha smoothie & Daylight detox were very good.

These are SO YUMMY, so glad there is one in my area because every time I go, I feel like I've just teleported to the beach! I love to get açaí bowls in the summer at the beach, so having this one near by is a life saver. The inside is so super cute too, it has strong beach and summer vibes. There is also really nice outdoor seating options, which is great on a warm and sunny day! The service was good but nothing amazing, our food came out just how we liked it and in a very average amount of time. These bowls are literally so delicious and you won't regret trying this place out!

Tip: Download the Playa Bowl app to earn rewards for perks! You can also use the app to order ahead for pick up. I love Playa Bowls! The first time I've tried it was at the Quarry Lake location and I recently visited the Ellicott City location at the grand opening. I didn't get there in time to be the first 50 customers for a free shirt, however that's OK; I got my playa bowl and cold brew! My favorite bowl is the coco nutella bowl and I add extra fruit to it - kiwi and mango. It's so good and refreshing! They have drink options from coffee to juices. As a creature of habit, I get the cold brew. There's something for everyone on the menu! Thank you Playa Bowls for opening a location in Howard County! I've been waiting for it and even asked in an IG posted once when asked what location do you wish one would open up. Talk about speaking it into fruition!

Welp, I'm 3 visits in and I continue to be very pleased... until this evening's visit. Plenty of FREE onsite parking, large sitting/ dining area, free wifi, detailed menu board, points club (Playa Club) for purchases, plentiful outdoor seating... What more could one ask for? Welp, I'll tell you shortly !! This evening I ordered Nutelloco Cocunut Bowl. I swapped Nutella for Peanut Butter. Everything started awesome as usual. They were busier than they've been when I normally visit and I completely understand, they're great!! I opted to grab a Playa Bowl for dinner and EPIC FAIL. The bowls are always a generous size w the freshest of fruits used. I love that they employ respectable young individuals that are the future. They are always on point w order accuracy and the wait is always short and fair. ... not tonight!! And ... all but 1. Now this was originally a 5 Star Review but then, that Bad Apple !! Thank Gawd I didn't post the original !! ... the fact that I had time to write an entire review should be telling!! I ordered my Bowl at 7:34pm, I have proof. Rec'd at 8pm, I have proof. I was so hungry!! 8:06pm, JULIE comes over to ask me to leave because they close at 8pm and she had more orders to finish. I said "Sure, I'll leave in 4 minutes, I'm just finishing my review" (that PLAYA BOWLS SENT ME). Julie said "Um, we closed at 8pm". I gracefully left as I'm finishing this edited review from my car in the dimly lit parking lot. I left my home many miles away to visit THIS establishment, waited almost 30 MINUTES and I can't have 4 minutes to safely finish your establishment review. I'm not gonna mention how Julie and company immediately began to talk trash about me as I approached the back door while other customers were still in there. Ok, gotcha Playa Bowls ! Bad business!! I literally had 2 previous great visits before today !! Great "at 1st" Job Playa Bowls as this community needed you !!

Playa Bowls has the best açaí bowls I've had thus far! The flavors are always fresh, the texture is perfectly smooth, and the toppings are generous. I also love that they offer a vegan granola option, which makes it even better for those looking for a plant-based choice. Whether you're craving something refreshing post-workout or just a delicious treat, Playa Bowls never disappoints!

I used to work in an office in Quarry Lake and I always remember the lunch options seeming plentiful but something always felt like it was missing. Now that Playa Bowls is here, I think Quarry Lake might have found its missing piece - a healthy food option! The inside has seen a major upgrade with bright murals covering the walls, trendy light fixtures, and plenty of spread out seating. The decor alone is really bringing some California vibes to Pikesville! The menu is vast and a bit overwhelming but the good thing is, most everything is customizable. Dairy-free and meat-free eaters will be happy to know that everything on the menu is vegan (except for the honey which can easily be omitted). Even though I'm the kinda girl who would normally pick a bagel over fruit for breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised that the Pura Vida açaí bowl actually left me feeling satisfied without feeling overly full. My sister made a custom, off-menu bowl that had half pitaya and half açaí as the base. We both loved how colorful our bowls were, especially the pitaya which was a beautiful, bright purple color. If you're looking for a healthy option in Quarry Lake, Playa Bowls has plenty to offer and their friendly staff will be happy to whip you up something yummy.

My first experience here a few weeks ago was fabulous so I came back and brought one of my daughters. She loved the fun murals on the walls and the pictures of surfing and water below the bar. As I said in my last review, the space is bright, clean, fun and there is a lot of room. They even have two bathrooms that are spacious and clean. The staff are warm, welcoming, helpful and friendly. I got the Acai power bowl (acai base with chocolate, peanut butter, granola and bananas) and my daughter got a strawberry and banana smoothie. The acai bowl was again fantastic. Smooth, soft, sorbet-like texture to the acai and perfectly complemented by the toppings. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is that my daughters smoothie was quite bland and lacking in flavor. I don't know if it was the coconut milk they use, or if the strawberries weren't that flavorful, but it was a bit of a disappointment. I would go back for sure but would stay away from the smoothies and stick with the acai!

It's different. Gotta learn a new lingo, menu and attitude. Fruit and fruit in a filling bowl. It works. And you are on the Quarry Lake for a nice view and the geese squaking.

    Mango protein base
    Mimi R.

Hidden gem! This is my go to spot for a guilty free treat. They have the best Açai bowls I've ever tried and you have the option to include protein powder in your base, which keeps you feeling full longer. They have other supplements like collagen which you can include or you can even build your own bowl. Service is usually fast and the employees are friendly. Although this place is pretty casual, there's a scenic lake at this location so on sunny days you can grab a treat and take a walk around the lake to add some ambiance.

Highly disappointed! Tropical Acai Bowl no pineapples and bananas and coconut flakes added

The space is really cute and I had plenty of Açaí bowls. I usually get a traditional Açaí bowl and they have too many options to choice from. And they are made differently, then what I am used too. Now the taste was very unusual for me. The coconut flakes are big and the strawberry are cut in thick slices: they put very little honey in my bowl. Oh my strawberries and coconut flakes were extra. In which is usually included in a traditional Açaí bowl. And lastly my bowl melted like 10mins after I purchased it. Unfortunately I will not be returning

    Jack O Lantern Açaí Bowl
    Randy L.

I am SO HAPPY to finally have a Playa Bowls nearby to me! I have always enjoyed pitaya bowls as well as açaí bowls, or even green bowls. That being said, there are all those AND more featured at every Playa Bowls. They have smoothies and juices as well! I have gone twice since opening; both bowls I got were delicious. I like to keep with açaí bowls myself just because there is nothing else added in the base. My first bowl was the Pure Vida Bowl which has blueberry and strawberry plus a honey drizzle over granola. On my second visit, I opted for the limited time fall offering which was the Jack O Lantern. This bowl had pumpkin granola, pumpkin butter, pumpkin spice, and banana. You really can't go wrong with anything here. They are all made to order using fresh ingredients. There is also the option to mix bases together if you'd like to. The staff was extremely helpful and informed about the menu, which was good because I had lots of questions. I can't wait to come back and work my way through this enormous menu! I hope this place is here to stay!

    Lashanda L.

This is a warm place to enjoy fruity frozen goodness or fresh juice. I've been three times in a month's time. The bowls can be customized or order one that is ready made. I've only tried the açaí bowls. Yet, there are other bowls to choose from like oatmeal or coconut bases. There is plenty of seating and a cozy fireplace in the back with a tv. It was very busy when I went and the service was quick.
