Since then they have remodelled and the wall decor is great but I liked the open view of the employees making your order. Now it seems very closed off. I decided to get the energy acai bowl today. Absolutely delicious and will be back. Not really a sit in and eat place. There is a counter with high top chairs but the inside is small. Enough space for a moving line and folks to wait on orders but there is outdoor seating available and at Foundry. Customer service was great! Everything is made when ordered so very fresh and tasty. The menu shows all the ingredients for smoothies and bowls and they have a fridge with healthy small doses of tinctures like ginger and lemon, wheat grass and other drinks. Update: I think this is the next business go go in foundry row. The customer service is trash, "kitchen" which is visible to customers isn't tidy, and orders take forever. The time spent here I can plant my own bananas and strawberries to make an açaí bowl. Pick said strawberries and bananas. Stand in line at target to buy a blender. Blend my fruits. Eat said fruits. And my order still won't be ready at Sunset! ------ Another great add to Owings Mills. This is for my juice/smoothie lovers and those that are health conscious (or at least pretending to be, like me lol). Sunset Raw Juice Bar is a healthy option located between Panera Bread and Smash Burger (just say no to carbs) and offered friendly and fast service. Along with yummy smoothies, they offer acai bowls, wellness shots and cold pressed juices. It was great to see a fairly new business operate without any glitches. Thee best açaí bowl I've ever had! Well worth the almost $10 price tag and enough to feed 2 people (if you're interested in sharing). I can't attest to other items on the menu but the customer service was pretty solid with employees working efficiently. There was a steady stream of customers, many of whom were also ordering açaí bowls (great minds think alike), and orders were doled our with no issue. There's seating both inside and outside so you have your choice of dining in or taking your goodness to go. I look forward to returning soon! read more

I've been trying to find a good acai bowl place in Baltimore as the ones that I've tried here just had things off about them that I didn't like. My friend recommended that I try Sunset Raw Juice Bar (it's a trek though - 35 minute drive from where I live). I ordered the Acai Colada bowl and was super impressed! The acai was blended with almond milk, then a layer of granola, and topped with strawberries, blueberries, banana, and shredded coconut. Sunday was the first time I liked what I got bc it was made as I asked. I got the peanut gallery and it has been made differently each time. Also the dates not being blended is a strike out for me. I am really picky about how my smoothies taste. I usually go for bitter more tart smoothies, theirs weren't tart but they weren't super sweet either. Today, which will probably be my last visit, the young lady at the register refused to bag my items. She opened the plastic bag, sat it on the counter, but refused to put my juices in the bag. While I stood at the register and waited for her to end a phone call, I asked her was she going to bag my items and she told me she isn't supposed to, and she thought it was weird that I stood there and waited for her to end the call and didn't bag the items myself. Again. I come here all the time so this isn't a standard here. I have never had to lean into the counter and bag my items. It was my first time and I was so excited to try a local business in the area! Unfortunately, I did not have the most pleasant experience. They forgot to make my drink as I stood there for nearly 40 minutes waiting. During my 40 minute wait, I watched them handle the utensils and dish ware without proper sanitation. Working in retail and being certified with food management, They did not follow the correct process for handling the safety of food products. They continued to cross contaminate between just changing gloves and not washing their hands. They chopped up fruits without having hair nets or washing the blender. (I physically saw them use the same lid for the blenders twice) In addition, I watched customers who came after me grab their drink. They told me it was because of orders called ahead. That's untrue because I literally walked in with 2 other people after me and I listened to them place their orders. Did not practice social distancing amongst each other either ! I even tipped 20%. I've heard a lot about Sunset Raw. I hear most people talk about their acai bowls. But when I went, I thought to keep it simple with a smoothie. Interestingly, there was nothing simple about the menu not even the smoothies. Very eclectic which interested me. After much debate I went with the Island Kale. It has coconut milk, coconut flakes, pineapple, mango, kale, and dates. The staff was friendly and efficient. They were available to answer any questions I had. The truth is, you never know until you try it. The cost for the smoothie was $9. I figured for that much money in a small cup, this is a miracle smoothie....like I'm going to lose 5lbs right away miracle. Lol. Even with 4 people in front on me, I didn't wait too long. The smoothie was unremarkable. It was tasteless and griddie. The ingredients weren't blended well so the contents were tough to get through the straw. It ended up in the trash. I didn't want to waste the sugar and calories on something I didn't favor. I will say that I will give Sunset Raw another chance. The four people in front of me all had acai bowls. I went to this store today at 8:16am to pick up a açaí bowl and the doors were lock. I saw the employees in the store so I start reading the signs which stated, accepting phone orders. I then got back in my car and call the store to place my order, to learn that they didn't open until 9am. I then explain that there sign on their door says they are open at 8am on Saturdays. The woman rudely stated they website states 9am since COVID. The woman was rude and snappy. Everyone does not go on the website to look at a time, most of the time I go on yelp to look at there operation hours since it's suppose to reflect their business hours! Sooo I have been to many juice bars, both in and out of the country and this one was top five most below average juice bar I've ever been too. The Açaí bowls we ordered contained low quality almost flavorless açaí. It was a weird color not consistent with Açaí that I've been eating for years. I understand that Açaí can vary, but this Açaí was legit flavorless. I ordered four Açaí bowls, all four of them were wrong, and lacked ingredients. I'm talking missing fruit. It took forever for them to make them and the three employees that were working were moving at a handicapped snails pace. It took way too long for them to make not only my order, but all of the orders before me as well. Don't forget, it was wrong. I waiting mad long for some below average açaí. My last point is the employees were not adhering to Covid protocols. Pull your mask up, your nose shouldn't be sticking out of the top, especially during a pandemic. I don't care if you can't breath in a mask or any other corny excuse you come up with for not wearing a mask. Put your mask on!! The right way!! COVID is real! I digress.... man Get better quality Açaí, that stuff you all are pushing is stepped on. Also putting Almond Milk, Apple Juice, and orange juice in Açaí bowls is dumb dumb di dumb dumb duummb. Every Açaí bowl you have on the menu includes some type of liquid, why?? It's already stepped on, then y'all want to add even more cut on it to stretch it. Last but not least, they also put the Açaí bowls in wonton soup containers. I appreciate the containers because I can reuse them, but remember you eat with your eyes first. The staff were super friendly and helpful. On this particular visit, I tried the Pitaya Passion smoothie bowl. it. Was. Everything!!! Not too sweet, and with just the right amount of fruit toppings and honey. I already loved their juices, so I'm not surprised I loved the bowl. I gotta go back just to make sure I try them all.
