I have NEVER waited this long in a Starbucks drive thru before. I want to contact corporate the service was so bad. And after the long wait, they got my order wrong. I ordered a breakfast sandwich without cheese and the label said no cheese, but of course it came out with cheese. The service at this location was so bad. Absolutely horrendous customer service. They refused to make a frappe because they were "closing soon". It was 3:45 and they're open until 5pm. If you're closing up shop an hour early maybe just close at 4pm. The coffee they were willing to serve me tasted awful I am completely appalled at such pathetic service. This location is in the lobby of the Marriott we stayed in. The hotel didn't serve breakfast this morning so he needed his coffee and I needed some breakfast. The server was not great. No personality or energy. They don't do rewards program here so that was also not cool. But my butter croissant warmed was yummy. And his coffee was coffee he said. So as long as you don't expect sterling service it's ok. Their hours are short so make sure to check before you come. read more

I only go here because its closest to me, but I try and minimize those trips because of 1) Higher prices; 2) They don't honor Starbuck promotions; 3) I would say 1 out of the 4-5 people I've seen working is actually nice & friendly (No seriously, you think of a Starbuck's barrista and you think nice & friendly - perhaps a little cliche, but it doesn't take much effort to put a smile on your face, at least I would hope. I can attest to this for how much I have gone in the past. I get off-days, but every day... ); 4) Machines always malfunctioning - whether its the scanner or an actual coffee-making machine. Something is always happening that effects the conditions of a sale or 'not a sale'. Anyway, this review is long overdue and I've been here a plenty of times. I understand that this SB is owned by Marriott/other company which explains the inflated prices & not honoring promos. I get that that's out of the staff's control. However, demeanor of the staff isn't and I do believe that can be improved. Thankfully, they opened another & a real SB on Archer and Cicero. Plus it has a drive thru! read more

Rudest place I have ever been to in my life. I visited here while I attended a work conference in June 2018 and the morning barista should take required courses on manners and customer service. When a customer tells you, "good morning" and you reply with, "What do you want??"... you should not only select a different line of work but evaluate what is wrong in your own life to cause you to be as bitter as that overpriced coffee. This may be the worst Starbucks location I've ever been to. Hidden in an obscure corner of a motel complex behind Midway airport, it's almost impossible to find with any navigation software. Once you get there, good luck getting any coffee. The hours here are so limited it's ridiculous. Unless you want your cuppa joe in the middle of the afternoon, don't bother. And if they're open don't expect a table. The interior is cramped and tiny. And the final nail in the coffin: They don't honor Starbucks rewards coupons. I decided to try this location for the relaxing lobby. If the hotel desk is busy I can tell you that the lobby is not relaxing. The wait for a coffee was a bit long as there is only one associate. When I tried to be friendly and show empathy for the staffing situation I was told "You don't work here, how do you know?" Wow. The parking here isn't great as you're fighting with hotel and banquet guests for spots. This on top of bad service and inflated hotel prices makes me say to skip it. There is a drive thru Starbucks just five minutes north on Cicero at 47th street with better service and lower prices. read more

The customer service here is horrid. There was ONE person in front of me. Just ONE. I don't know if he didn't know how to order or if the barista was just slow. I waited for 10 minutes. I have stated in several reviews that i only use starbucks for my poopy while traveling, this is almost exclusively true. On the rare occasion I want a stiff cup of joe by my house and the French press is dirty, I may drive over to the Starbucks in a little gated community I refer to as Hotel hell. When I googled for the address I was surprised it came up Chicago. This is definitely Bedford Park, the glorious industrial park turned small corrupt village. This location is a series of Hotels and chain restaurants that benefit from a tax deal offered by Bedford park. Many tourists and business travelers have the comforts of Duluth Iowa right here in my back yard. Why seek out an authentic mole or perogi on the South side of Chicago when you can stroll across the parking lot into a TGiFridays and get the same shit you cram down your pie hole back home in Humperdink Missouri. Bitter? Yes. This "hotel park" is so fucked up you are not allowed to turn left out of it. Apparently they don't want any travelers to accidentally discover an Irish Pub or Beef sandwich. This particular Starbucks offers the only "gourmet" coffee nearby in the morning. (There is a coffee house right by my house, but they cater to straight edge hipsters and don't open until 11.) I come here by default, enough excuses get on with the review Bob! In my visits I have seen rock hard scones that must have been days old, shriveled up muffins. I have discussed this with the help who never lasts more than a month, they are as confused as I am. There is no manager, and there once was a sign explaining complaints need to be routed to the hotel rather than Starbucks corporate. In my most recent visit the young barista was swamped, the many fine tourists were checking out of their hotels on a Sunday morning and this poor lady was alone. The stress was getting to her, she was slamming the blender, staring into the floor to avoid her inner hatred from contaminating the people around her. A young professional couple ahead of me smiled and ordered two venti mocha caramel soy banana skim iced clusterfuck drinks and the barista nearly melted. There was ten people inside, a bus just pulled up, and the good news is the bakery case was full of crumbs so she wouldn't have to deal with bakery. All I wanted was a black coffee, I new this would be a relief for the woman who no doubt was considering retiring from the hospitality industry. Then, just seconds before I could place my order, she muttered "mother fucker" under her breath, walked around from the counter and into the Hotel lobby. I thought to my self, thats it, she's gone. This is your big chance Bob, get behind that counter and rock out some frapachino-mocha-caramel-hazelnutty-shittydrinks! Or in the least, pour yourself one gratis! As my imagination and all its infinite possibilities ran wild, she returned with a bunch of bananas in her grasp, dropping one into a blender she poured one, then the other. We looked at each other, each feeling a loss. I ordered, "Grande Coffee please", she spun, poured and took my money. Although I try to avoid Starbucks, I would rather infuse my local economies directly. I will be the first to admit typically they are very well managed entities. This is an exception. If you are just travelling through our fair city, get your coffee at the airport. Or wait til you get into the city, it won't be long before you see dozens of places to get your caffeine on. read more

What I like about this location is that you can grab a coffee and go sit down in the hotel lobby and relax with a friend or even read a book if you'd like. I wouldn't say this is the best location I've ever been to (sometimes their menu selections are limited) and they only usually have one employee working at a time (which is unfair to the employee and customers) but the people who do work there are always very friendly and do a good job. read more

This is the place to go if you want to go to get ripped off, they just raised their prices 25 to 30%, and they were high before the increase. Most of the Baristas are very good, too bad they have to put up with such terrible mangement. read more

This has to be the worst Starbucks location ever. Their prices are higher than all other locations, there is only one employee working at at time, including during peak hours. And beware if you use a debit card to pay for your purchase the hotel charges a service fee that the employees don't tell you about! Love this Starbucks. Tucked in a corner of a hotel, it's cleaner and quieter than the one down the street at 77th and Cicero. Plus you can usually find a comfy chair in the hotel lobby, which is nice and usually not crowded. Only downside is the coffee is a dime or two more expensive. read more

Customer service is shit here around 1:30 on a Wednesday. First of all, they don't greet you, then they didn't have decaf coffee which this female employee told me it'll take 3-4 minutes. After 7 minutes I asked if it was almost ready (because I was on my lunch break) and she aggressively said "I told you it was 3-4 minutes" I didn't say anything even because it was after the 4 minutes. Then I kindly asked for half and half because they didn't have an at the counter, and the girl seemed to be very upset. read more
