I think this is my favorite Starbucks experience so far. Not only did they make sure my coffee and my sandwich was hot, but they were incredibly kind to make sure all my food was put in a bag and I even got a knife to cut my cheese for my cheese and fruit protein box. This is a great Starbucks location in Uptown. It's on Levine Avenue of the Arts, between Church and Tryon. Every time I've ordered or come in, it's been a great experience - down to the perfect execution of getting my matcha latte not too hot, but just right! LOL! Of course, there are many options for food and drink, as with any other Starbucks. The staff is always great and welcoming, every time I've been. They greet you and are courteous and conscious of what they're doing, even while moving quickly. Inside is plenty of seating - regular tables, high tables, etc. it's a busy location but a good one. If you live in uptown, this Starbucks is convenient for you. There's not a lot of seating inside, and it can get pretty crowded inside. They do have patio seating outside, which is always a good thing. There is no great parking with the exception of street parking, so it would be better to just walk. read more

I love Starbucks, like a lot of people.. what can I say? In effort to reduce my calorie intake recently I have been sticking to the nitro cold brew when I visit. I add almond milk or sweet cream and it's just 70 calories (Tall)! I frequent this location because I work nearby so it's pretty convenient. It gets very busy during the morning rush and afternoon lunch. Staff is always friendly and the location in clean. I was excited that they recently renovated to the new interior design, it looks good. My only issue is that there have been several times when I tried to order from the app and receive a message that the item is sold out, but when I go to the store they have it. This is a big pain and it happens all the time - with pastries, cold brew, fruit, etc. I am sure this is a larger issue but it needs to be fixed. It's been a problem for a long time. read more

This is the best Starbucks I've been to in Charlotte! The staff working here are awesome, cheerful people. The volume of drinks can get pretty high in morning rush hour, but they are fast. Would love to see some Starbucks reserve coffee offerrings here or at the downtown locations, but I doubt Howard Schultz will get my message. read more

One of the only coffee shops Uptown that is currently open after 3pm (thanks Covid!) This shop is packed inside but, usually goes through orders super quick. It's located on Levine Avenue - pass the Firebird, Fin & Fino and Reids and you're right there! Definitely download the app and order online if you're in a rush and then pick it up at the pick-up counter. Love this Starbucks and the Starbucks app which makes it so easy and convenient to grab and go. I've been coming here more lately bc they have healthy options and it's within walking distance for me. If you don't know,they have a tea called the Medicine Ball. If you're feeling out of it, this tea is for you. Honestly when I'm feeling fine, I still find myself ordering. While this location is always packed they are fluid and have a method to the madness. Several times I have ordered online and walked down and my order was ready despite how busy they were. Zero respect for decaf drinkers. Decaf coffee is always cold. $2.50 for a cup of lukewarm coffee?! Then they did something to make the decaf experience better. For a short while this location had those machines that allowed them to brew a fresh cup for every customer. Then, for some reason they got rid of them. Back to stale, almost cold coffee. This morning I went in for a cup and when I noticed the change back to pots I asked the barista if it was fresh. He said, yes we're brewing it right now. Then he took my money, poured my cup out of the thermos on the counter while the machine brewed into a different pot. I got lukewarm coffee again. Then, I'm back at my desk trying not to be too much of a coffee snob and drink my coffee anyway when something solid hit my mouth. At first I though it was coffee grounds. Nope! A fly. I came in when the cafe wasn't very busy, but soon after I ordered customers started piling in. I waited for about 15 minutes for my drink. I watched about 6 people order after me and get their drinks before me. It was a huge waste of time. The establishment seems to be understaffed with only one barista working on in-person orders and one working on mobile orders. I would definitely recommend placing a mobile order at least 10 minutes before you arrive. read more

What is there to say about a Starbucks that hasn't already been said. Location is convenient compared to the main Tyron St location because you can pull your car off to the side and easily run in to pick it up to go. Drinks are consistent, and staff is awesome. My wife and I frequently walk our dog here in the morning on weekends, and the manager knows us well. She always comes out to give our pooch some love and spoil her with a 'pupaccino'. This location does get slammed during peak hours, so definitely order ahead via the mobile app. I almost miss the days when people didn't use that feature, but some days the line to pick-up your mobile order is as long as the line to place one with the cashier. It's taken me too long to give my friends at Duke Energy Starbucks a 5-star review. They might as well move the Seattle HQ to this singular location. This location accounts for a pretty hefty % of my salary thanks to Ken, Eric and Lauren being the best baristas in all of North Carolina & possibly the United States. I know that's high praise but y'all I MEAN IT. They take care of me-- at this point I'd tell anyone they're family LOL. Anyway, it's clean, professional, fun, and they've never messed up a drink in my year+ of going there (multiple times a week). Zero complaints. But, here's what you need to watch out for -- Miss Girl from Parking Services ..... she has absolutely 0 chill and will not hesitate to ticket you or tow you if you are there before the 9am mark. She's just doing her job tho. It kills my vibe though before I've gotten my coffee. Anyway, if you want a special drink, these people know how to hook you up. This is the closest Starbucks to my job but it seems to be the smallest in downtown. If you plan to get to this location after 8 am, definitely 8:30 am you will be standing at the back door. There is also usually a 2pm rush as well. The customer service is great though, Franco is awesome and will always take care of you! Sarah and Liz are we some as well. This place was extra refreshing even given the construction going on that leads you down a path that involves following signs ducking scaffolding equipment and rubbing elbows with strangers just to make your journey to your beloved cup of coffee. I had never been to this location for the simple fact that its not by my house like the east blvd location is and if I wanted to come here I would have to park in a parking deck. Which I get it, it makes sense if you aren't already walking the streets of and/or work uptown this location is hard to justify. However for anyone that can make it into this location please make the extra step or parking spot to be able to come into this particular starbucks as the staff is something far and beyond what I have experienced in any location other than my old home store. Everyone was so friendly! upon entering I was greeted immedietly my order taken and when I ordered with my member card and still owed 72 cents when I went to use my debit card one staff member popped out from behind the other with a gift card and said WAIT! We have a gift card to use so that you don't have to use your debit card for that. Which yes was great, unexpected and completely appreciated but it was the over all energy of this location with its staff that really wowed me and made me wish I could transplant them to my east blvd store. They all were joking having fun and had such a positive energy that I not only wanted in my home starbucks but at all my other local spots as well. Kudos Starbucks at Levine Ave of The Arts. While we were there to visit the African American Arts museum, the Starbucks staff called the police on a homeless woman who dared to use the bathroom. She didn't make a mess, or bother anyone, or do anything disturbing but the police lectured her for 20 minutes during which she was cooperative and then they arrested her anyway. She was entirely calm and non-confrontational the entire time and would have simply left if asked. They said she had been told not to come there before so that made it trespassing, but seriously all she did was sit and use the restroom and they were taking her to jail. We offered to get her a hotel room for the night, but they wouldn't let us do that instead. We also bought her a drink and food which should have qualified her as a paying customer, but that wasn't sufficient for them. They were too set on their arrest. The baristas said it was the policy if someone has been asked to leave before to call the police the next time instead of asking them to leave again. The staff said they didn't feel like they had a choice because of the rule. That needs to change! Stop calling the police on people who are just existing! Starbucks policy needs to change. They claim to support racial sensitivity and black lives matter but they call the police on homeless people just for using a restroom. Also unsurprisingly it was two white cops arresting a young black woman. read more

Ordered 3 drinks, all were made separately with different times, so instead of completing one customers order at a time, they just pick a drink and start making it. This makes you wait for you're order longer because they will make one of your drinks than a different customers drink, then part of another customers drink, then go back to your order...? Makes no sense. AND they don't fill your large drink to the top!!! 2 different iced drinks were made with 2 different levels of liquid and neither of them reached the top of the cup. read more

This is probably one of the worst Starbucks I have ever been too. The service wasn't good, the place was a mess and very dirty (see pictures) and they only offer pictures of food (see picture). When you walk in you see a counter full of empty boxes and stacks of paper, next to it is an empty glass case with pictures of food and signs for food but no food and below is a nearly empty cooler that should have additional drinks and food. Once you get to the counter, you barely get a greeting and have to order. I tried ordering a soy latte but they said they were out of soy. How are you out of an ingredient like that in a coffee place? Either way, I ordered something else, they were slow in making it and we left. It's unfortunate because the location is great. read more

This location is always super busy in the am, but they are super fast. There is usually a line 20 people deep when I come in around 9am on weekdays, but you will probably order within 5 minutes. I always get the ice coffee so I haven't ever had issues with waiting in drinks, but they seem to make everything as it's ordered. All the baristas chip in to get the job done. read more

This is weekday Starbucks, close to work. Mornings a crazy busy, so do a mobile order and give it a good 10 minutes. For a while the employees handing out the mobile orders were great, they knew all the regulars names which kept things moving. This is the Starbucks near my office- it's fine but gets super crowded during the morning and afternoon rush. I definitely would recommend doing a mobile order because the line is awkward and twists around the whole place. I'd also recommend sitting outside for that reason- if you sit inside there are people everywhere and it's very claustrophobic and distracting. read more
