This is the Starbucks for UNC Medical Center / UNC Hospitals. It's located in between the Neurosciences Hospital and the Cancer Hospital, conveniently-situated where the main entrances to the hospital complex are, in/near the lobby. My wife, who regularly works at UNC Hospitals, is a regular here. Because it's open 24/7, it's a great place for my wife to come during overnight shifts for food and caffeine. My wife's favorite caffeinated beverages to order are the Caffe Americano and Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew. My wife likes the Caffe Americano because it's smooth and doesn't taste burnt like Starbucks' drip coffee. She likes the Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew because it's not too sweet and she enjoys the various textures of the cream and foam. It's smooth, refreshing, cold, and strong. In general, cold brew coffee tastes more complex than drip coffee. I came to this Starbucks with my wife and we got a couple Pink Drinks which are Strawberry Acai Refreshers Beverages with coconut milk added. They were delicious. Sweet, but not overly sweet, a little bit creamy, icy cold, and refreshing. I recommend it. We also got a couple Evolution Fresh bottled juices - one Orange and one Organic Super Fruit Greens. Both were terrific. The juices were cold-pressed, organic, and 100% juice with no added sweeteners or artificial flavors. They were healthy and nutritious and tasted great. The green juice contained orange, mango, pineapple, cucumber, spinach, romaine, and kale. Good stuff. If you use FreedomPay, you get a discount on most food and beverage at Starbucks. FreedomPay is an optional cashless payment system used at UNC Hospitals' cafes. One of my wife's favorite things to get at this Starbucks, because of the FreedomPay discount, are the sous vide egg bites. She rarely gets the egg bites, otherwise. This Starbucks has a nice courtyard with seating outside in addition to two levels inside.

OK, yes I know it's a Starbucks. But this actually quite sizable location of Starbucks nestled in the UNC Hospitals complex between the North Carolina Women's Hospital and NC Cancer Hospital is like a wonderful oasis of comfort for patients and visitors. Plenty of seating area, nice and clean, and from the times I have visited them the service has been friendly and quick for a Starbucks type drink (made to order). They take Starbucks cards like all other locations, and have an ATM station just at the entrance as well. But the bonus that makes me give them five stars here is that I am told they are open 24/7 to serve the hospital complex. I think that rocks, because at a medical center you want that kind of Starbucks comfort at any time the need strikes. Bottom line: Wonderful, clean, and spacious Starbucks to serve the UNC Hospitals complex. Good drinks and service as you would expect. The aspect I am told they are 24/7 makes it five star material. Awesome.

This Starbucks is a welcomed little gem if you're at the hospital! Nestled between the Women's Center and the Cancer Center, it's easy to get to from most areas of the hospital. The inside is fairly standard. There's a decent amount of seating and the customer flow is ok. They are staffed well and seemed to get through the orders quicker than I've seen at other Starbucks. To me, the best part was the courtyard. I'm pretty sure it's actually part of the hospital but, there is a nice outside seating area adjacent to the store. Tons of seating including tables and umbrellas. It's a great place to enjoy your favorite beverage, snack, and the beautiful Chapel Hill weather!

24-hours. That in of itself warrants a four-star rating. And they still have Pumpkin Spice Latte. Mmmmm pumpkin. Not much else to say... it's Starbucks! Happy 'beaning!

Every time I've been here it always takes about 15-20 mins for a drink order. Maybe hire more baristas.

Although busy. They accomplish quickly. My biggest beef is that every time I go in and ask, they NEVER have Sugar free Hazelnut.

Obsessed! I need this in the Chicago area!…read more I was meeting up with a friend while in Chapel Hill and told her I'd love to grab coffee and take a walk. And she knew just the place... She brought me to Caffe Driade where we grabbed coffee (ice latte with almond milk for me) and then made our way down to trails where we enjoyed our coffee walking in this amazing wooded area. It was a hot June day, but between the shade and it being morning it wasn't too bad. There's also some tables up top by the cafe, but I personally prefer the walk/hike. The coffee was fine, but the hiking/atmosphere was amazing. If i make it back to the Triangle area I'll be here every morning!

This is an interesting place to have coffee at any time with friends and enjoy nature. There's so many places to sit amongst the trees and to relax it's quite enjoyable. They have a pretty decent selection of coffee and they offered some food items as well. I really enjoyed my time here. I just wish they had more comfortable chairs. The metal small chairs are not comfortable so we weren't here as long as we would've liked to have been. I tried something completely new out of my comfort zone, a golden milk latte. This was absolutely delicious and I would get this again. I was able to add honey as my sweetener and really enjoyed this different cup of coffee.

Yonderlust is more than just a coffee shop--it's one of those spaces where you can easily spend an entire afternoon without realizing how much time has passed. It's a fantastic study and work spot: a mix of table sizes, plenty of outlets, and a relatively quiet, calm environment that makes it easy to settle in. It has solid coffee: Drinks here are consistently pretty good. I usually go for their Campfire Latte (a signature for a reason) or whatever seasonal syrup they're featuring, and their matcha latte is reliable too. It has actual, warm food: simple but satisfying sandwiches with enough variety to make for a perfect study snack or light lunch. I am often disappointed when coffee shops only offer cold pastries. It has entertainment: I love taking a quick study break to browse the shop's outdoor gear and clothing; it honestly feels a little like being transported to the West Coast for a moment (give me some Oregan vibes!). Service has always been quick and friendly. I wouldn't say any single thing here is the best in Durham--but together, it is special! There are many days when I find myself craving a few cozy hours at Yonderlust, followed by a quick dessert next door at Rose's.
