I had a great experience eating at Coco with my 2-year old. We went in right before noon. We chose our own table. This is a very clean restaurants. Everything is vegan. I had a burger with breakfast potatoes. The burger itself was good but the top bun was a bit hard to chew on. I needed up removing the top bun to finish the burger. My daughter had pancakes with - fruit cup, I wouldn't advise to get the fruit cup for $5, it only had 1 strawberry, a few good blueberries and grapes. We had a warm chocolate chip cookie. Now that was delicious. My daughter really enjoyed her pancake. Our server was attentive and service was great overall. I will be back. read more

Lovely! They have a nice, open floor plan with lots of light, and one wall which can open entirely to the outside (which a screen to prevent bugs coming inside, nice). All plant-based! Got their shaken espresso, which was yummy! Service is speedy and polite. We had a newer server, but she was nice and got help when she needed it. This is the second time I've come here, just for the sunny side up egg :) I got it on the breakfast burger. Really hit the breakfast sandwich spot! Definitely knew ahead of time that everything is vegan or gluten free which is great for people who have food sensitivities. Parking was easy and free in the parking garage next to the cafe, but the service was a little strange. This was my first time here and I wasn't really sure if I should sit down and order at the table with a QR code or if the food would be brought to us, but we sat and waited for like an extra 20 minutes and didn't even realize that our drinks were waiting on the counter because we were waiting to either hear a name called or it to be brought to us. (Apparently it sent a text to the person who ordered it be we didn't notice it). This is definitely a "trendy" place, the food was pricey and of course drinks too. $6 for a blueberry scone that was pretty dry was not great. I personally do not have any allergies and I'm not vegetarian or vegan and so I think I've just really missed out on the heavier creams I'm used to in coffee and foods. For it being vegan, it was decent, but definitely not as thick or flavorful as regular creamed coffee. I would probably only come here if I did have gluten intolerances, or was vegan. Thankfully not in the foreseeable future. I don't think I was spoken to once by anyone who worked here during the whole process. (We were here for atleast an hour and a half). Surprisingly they ask for a tip at the end of placing an order...when you order your own food, pick it up, and put away your own dishes. Not impressed by that. Disclaimer: Review from a non-vegan. I did not know this place was vegan when I came in but i decided to stay and try it out. The food sounded good but I think vegan meals are just not for me. The bacon was like jerky and stiff (it was crunchy the texture wasn't bad but the taste was not it). I think the best part about my meal was my hot cocoa and the potatoes. The pancakes were unfortunately so dry and not buttery. I'm disappointed by them because I've tried vegan pancakes before but they were not like this. I couldn't even finish them because of the taste. The French toast is just a dry toasted bread and the eggs are so stiff. Idk, I guess I'm just used to very flavorful food and am used to the actual taste of non-vegan food options. Maybe if you're vegan you may like it but if you're not, I'd just choose another place. Coco was so delicious for a quick lunch with my mom. The service was fast and the person helping us was extremely nice. The ambiance of Coco is also very inviting and warm-- they really value kindness as their mantra, with the space being bright, full of plants, and having gender-neutral bathrooms. To start, I got a brown sugar cinnamon latte with oat milk and YUM. It was heaven-- not overly sweet and the frothy milk at the top was just chefs kiss. The pesto, chicken, arugula panini was well sauced and the bread was crunchy, without hurting my mouth. The tomatoes were also large and super juicy. I wish the cheese was melted a tad more but honestly not a big deal. The quinoa and kale salad was well seasoned, I just wish it had a little bit more kale in it. There were also edamame. My mom got the whipped feta and fig toast and she said it hit the spot. Wasn't too sweet but had complementary flavors. Would definitely return to sit outside and try more of their menu. read more

Beautiful Vegan-Plant Based Spot. First time here at the recommendation of a friend. Very open space with lots of windows. It is located on the first floor of an established building. Hard to see from the main road. There is very limited parking in front but there is a parking garage that offers free parking right next to the building. We missed it the first time and had to drive around to find it. Once inside the restaurant we were seated right away. The waitress was very helpful in making suggestions to try on the menu. We ordered a latte with soy milk and a chocolate banana smoothie. For food we tried the eggs benedict, the strawberry cheesecake toast, the coco pancakes and the pesto chicken arugula panini. Admittedly I was initially disappointed because I thought I wanted eggs and bacon, hash browns and buttered toast - because that's my indulgent breakfast order on a random day off work. I certainly don't go for sweet breakfast, so why did I order the strawberry cheesecake toast? Because after reading what it was, I felt confident it would not be too sweet. Oh my wow it was so delicious. It was the opposite of any "sweet" breakfast item you'd get elsewhere. Fresh sliced strawberries with slightly sweetened cream cheese on top of toasted rustic country bread. Sprig of mint and a very small amount of shortbread crumble. I will crave this. I got the golden latte made with almond milk and it too was so delicious, comforting and different. My husband got the Coco overnight oats and it was also just fresh as could be, gorgeous fruit on top. The ambience is clean, minimal, and there are pictures of cute animals - one of a sleepy kitten I mean, come on now, love! This place is great. The atmosphere and vibe of it is very relaxing and calm. The decoration is very bohemian and I like that. They have a great selection of vegan food items. I ordered their signature smoky bacon and egg sandwich which was very good. The staff were excellent and super nice. Our waiter checked on us many times and was very friendly. All of the staff seemed very friendly as well. I recommend this place if you want to do work/study/schoolwork it has many outlets and great seating options. Atmosphere: Coco has a nice, bright space that is great for a brunch or daytime working. If you come to hang out and get some work done for an extended period of time, there is seating in the back. Service: Our servers were friendly and the food and drinks came out quite quickly. Food: We ordered the Breakfast Power Bowl and Whipped Feta & Fig Toast. The Power Bowl had a nice assortment of ingredients that paired well together. The vegan eggs were light and flavorful, and the quinoa was also seasoned well. The Whipped Feta & Fig Toast was delicious! The plant-based feta tasted like real cheese and paired well with the figs and honey. The toast was also perfectly soft without tasting soggy. For drinks, we got their Brew Coffee and Maple Brown Sugar Latte. The latte was a bit watered down for our liking, but it wasn't too sweet. Overall: Coco offers a lovely spot for healthy food and a relaxing atmosphere. Seating can be limited, but luckily it wasn't too busy when we visited. We'd love it if the portions were a bit bigger given the prices but for the overall experience, we enjoyed our time at Coco! read more

Update: Yeah, i'm done with Coco The employees are extremely overworked, and there is hard lean staffing going on. Because of this, I've repeatedly had to wait 20 minutes for a coffee, and then the order is wrong. This time was absolutely worst coffee I've been served. This isn't the fault of the employees, it's the fault of the ownership who clearly cares more about money (see the fact that they won't list their coffee prices anywhere, you just have to guess how much it's going to cost ) than they do about their employees or their customers. They also have an extra charge for a couple of nondairy milks, so the vegan tax still applies in a vegan cafe. Lame. = Coco Bistro is a nice spot, vibe-wise The coffee opens are always really interesting; the food and's pastries are solid The downsides are the prices, which are higher than most other similar places And the staff, which is hot and cold. I ordered the tomato/basil/mozzarella with pesto panini, and it was SO GOOD. I also had an order of french fries that were lovely. You order and pay from a QR code on the table, which makes it easy to pick what you want, and there's no question about splitting bills if you're with someone else, because everyone orders their own meal. My only nit is that parking is limited in the front, so you have to park in the parking deck beside it (wouldn't have been a problem but it was so cold when I visited!). Unexpectedly good bagel! I got the Cholula bacon and egg bagel, and it was so good!! It had spinach, tomato, plant based egg and bacon on plain or everything bagel. I opted for bagel, and the bagel texture was on-par! Perfectly chewy, crunchy, and was perfect with the hot sauce. The bacon texture definitely threw me off at first, but I surprisingly like it better than regular bacon because it doesn't have those annoying chunks of fat. Not on top, not on the plate, but actually in the plant based sausage. I took it to the counter to show them and the waitress offered to remake it but my daughter said no. I asked if I could just have my money back and the waitress said unfortunately she couldn't do that because my daughter had already eaten a little more than half. I corrected her by stating that she ate half before seeing hair in her food. The waitress stated that she was sorry but the most she could do was add a bakery item. Even if she didn't give cash back, she could have at least put it on a gift card (for accountability, to not lose a customer, etc.). We split 2 desserts, the apple turnover and the chocolate chip cookie. They tasted like they'd been made with good butter( my highest compliment). Wild Mushroom and Arugula Toast - tasty and interesting We also got a green smoothie that was unexpectedly enjoyable. 2nd visit in Aug 2023: Cholula Bacon, Cheese & Egg Bagel - So tasty and great textures! The vegan bacon didn't taste like normal bacon, but it was still crispy and salty in a good way. Pesto, Chicken & Arugula Panini - Crispy bread and very tasty. Coco-my goodness. This restaurant was incredible. The first thing to know is that everything on the menu is plant based. If you aren't used to plant based food or if that scares you, don't worry. I couldn't tell the difference between "real" egg and plant based egg. I got the chipotle breakfast sandwich and it was absolutely incredible. I also got a blueberry scone latte, and it may be my new favorite coffee drink. It tasted exactly like a blueberry scone.
